panelWhat it means What to do
red

amberEBD FAILURE
The simultaneous switching on of the
(red),
(amber) and(amber) warning lights (for
versions/markets, where provided), with the
engine on, indicates either a failure of the EBD
system or that the system is not available. In this
case, the rear wheels may suddenly lock and the
vehicle may swerve when braking sharply.
The display shows the dedicated message.Drive very carefully to the nearest Fiat Dealership
to have the system inspected immediately.
redAIRBAG FAILURE
When the key is turned to MAR, the warning light
switches on but it should switch off after a few
seconds.
The warning light stays on constantly if there is a
fault in the airbag system.
On some versions, the display shows the
dedicated message.

redLOW ENGINE OIL LEVEL
When turning the ignition key to MAR, the warning light turns on but it
should go off after a few seconds.
This warning light appears on the panel when the engine oil level falls
below the minimum recommended value.
On certain versions a dedicated message is displayed.Restore the correct
engine oil level (see
“Checking fluid levels” in
the "Servicing and
maintenance" section).
redINCOMPLETE DOOR LOCKING
On certain versions, the warning light turns on when one or more doors
or the boot are not properly closed.
A buzzer will sound when doors/tailgate are open and the vehicle is
moving.
WARNING
48) If thewarning light does not switch on when the key is turned to MAR or if it stays on when driving (together with
the message on the display), there may be a fault in the restraint systems; in this case, the airbags or pretensioners
may not deploy in the event of an accident or, in a lower number of cases, they could deploy erroneously. Before
continuing, contact a Fiat Dealership to have the system checked immediately.
49) Failure of the
warning light is indicated by thewarning light coming on. In this case, thewarning light may
not indicate a fault in the restraint systems. Before continuing, contact a Fiat Dealership to have the system checked
immediately.
50) Deteriorated engine oil must be replaced as soon as possible after the
warning light comes on, and never more
than 500 km after it first switches on. Failure to observe the above indications may result in severe damage to the
engine and invalidate the warranty. Remember that when this warning light comes on, it does not mean that the level
of engine oil is low, so if it flashes you do not need to top up the engine oil.
51) If the
warning light flashes when driving, contact a Fiat Dealership.

PASSENGER SEAT COMPLIANCE WITH REGULATIONS ON UNIVERSAL CHILD
RESTRAINT SYSTEM USE
The Fiat Doblò (only for vehicles designed to carry people), (homologation M1) complies with the new European Directive
2000/3/EC which governs the arrangement possibilities for child restraint systems on the seats of the vehicle as shown in the
following table:
Group Weight range Front passenger Rear passenger (1st row)Rear passenger
(2nd row)
Group 0, 0+ up to 13 kgUU X
Group 1 9 - 18 kgUU X
Group 2 15 - 25 kgUU X
Group 3 22 - 36 kgUU X
U= suitable for child restraint systems in the "Universal" category, according to European Regulation EEC-R44 for the specified "Groups".
X= seat not suitable for children in this weight category.
WARNING
69) SEVERE DANGER: When an active passenger airbag is fitted, DO NOT install child restraint systems to be fitted
rearward facing on the front seat. Deployment of the airbag in an accident could cause fatal injuries to the child
regardless of the severity of the impact. It is advisable to always carry children in a child restraint system on the rear
seat, which is the most protected position in the event of a collision. Should it be necessary to carry a child on the
passenger side front seat in a rearward facing child restraint system, the passenger side front airbag and side bag
(side bag – for versions/markets, where provided) must be deactivated through the Setup menu. Deactivation should
be verified by checking whether the warning light above the front courtesy light is switched on. The passenger seat
must also be positioned back as far as possible in order to avoid the child restraint system from coming into contact
with the dashboard.
