WARNING LIGHTS
AND MESSAGESREDUCE GEARS
Warning light comes on (together with
the message on the reconfigurable multi-
function display) to warn the driver of the
incorrect use of the gearbox.
In this event, the system could automati-
cally activate system protection proce-
dure.MANUAL MODE NOT
AVAILABLE
The message on the reconfigurable mul-
tifunction display comes on when, with en-
gine on, the MANUALmode cannot be
selected. “DUALOGIC”
TRANSMISSION
FAILURE (red)
Turning the ignition key to MAR
the warning light shall come on, but it
should go off a few seconds after.
The warning light comes on flashing on the
cluster (together with the message on the
reconfigurable multifunction display and
the buzzer) to indicate a gearbox failure.

In the case of a gearbox
fault, contact Fiat Dealer-
ship as soon as possible to
have the system checked.
If the warning light continues
to stay on (together with the
message on the reconfig-
urable multifunction display),

AUTOMATIC MODE NOT
AVAILABLE
The message on the reconfigurable mul-
tifunction display comes on when, with en-
gine on, the AUTOmode cannot be se-
lected.CLUTCH OVERTEMPERATURE
The message on the reconfigurable mul-
tifunction display comes on together with
the buzzer to indicate clutch overheating.
In this event, reduce gears and stop the
car (turning the engine off) until regular
operating conditions are restored.PUSH BRAKE PEDAL - DELAYED
STARTUP
Messages are displayed in turns and in se-
quence on the reconfigurable multifunc-
tion display, together with the buzzer to
indicate brake pedal failure when trying to
start the engine.
In this condition, keep the key in AVVpo-
sition for at least 6 seconds, with the brake
pressed: the engine starts. The system is
in recovery condition (max allowed gear:
3rd).
IMPORTANT Messages are displayed on-
ly if at startup a gear other than neutral
(N) is engaged. If the message on the recon-
figurable multifunction dis-
play continues to stay on,
contact Fiat Dealership.

To safeguard clutch efficien-
cy do not use the accelerator
to keep the car still (e.g.:
when the car is parked facing
uphill) since clutch overheating could
damage it. Use the brake pedal and
press the accelerator pedal only when
deciding to move off.

continue to stay on, contact
Fiat Dealership.

GEAR NOT AVAILABLE
The message on the reconfigurable mul-
tifunction display comes on together with
the buzzer in the following cases:
❒system failure inhibiting gear shifting;
or
❒system failure allowing to engage only
first gear (1), second gear (2), third gear
(3) or reverse (R).OPERATION NOT ALLOWED
The message on the reconfigurable mul-
tifunction display comes on together with
the buzzer when the system refuses the
request to change gear since certain in-
dispensable conditions are lacking.
PUSH BRAKE PEDAL - REPEAT
OPERATION
The message on the reconfigurable mul-
tifunction display comes on, in certain cas-
es with the buzzer when under certain
conditions, due to safety reasons, you try
to change gears without pressing the
brake pedal.SET TO NEUTRAL N
The message on the reconfigurable mul-
tifunction display comes on together with
the buzzer to warn the driver that neutral
shall be engaged.
Engaging neutral (N), displayed message
shall turn off.

TOWING THE CAR
Make sure that the gearbox is in neutral
(N) (checking that the car moves if
pushed) and tow as for a car with tradi-
tional mechanical gearbox (see Owner
Handbook).
Should it be impossible to set to neutral,
do not tow the car and contact Fiat
Dealership.
IF A FUSE BLOWS
For fuse location see pictures in paragraph “If a fuse blows” in section “In an emergency”
in the Owner Handbook.

CHECKING OIL LEVEL
DUALOGIC GEARBOX HYDRAULIC SYSTEM OIL
For the transmission control oil level check and for clutch actuation system oil check/replacement get in touch only with the Fiat
Dealerships.
Waste gearbox oil contains dangerous substances for the environment. For chang-
ing the oil we advise contacting Fiat Dealerships who are equipped for disposing
of used oil respecting nature and the law.WARNING
