Fuse extracting pliers
Take out the fuse using pliers 1 fig. 255,
located behind flap A. To remove the
fuse from the pliers, slide it sideways.
We recommend you not use the free
fuse positions.
The presence of fuses will depend on
the trim level of the vehicle.

174)If a general protection fuse (MAXI-FUSE, MEGA-FUSE, MIDI-FUSE) blows, do not attempt any repair and contact a Fiat Dealership.
175)Before replacing a fuse, make sure that the key has been removed from the starter switch and that all the other services are switched off
and/or disengaged.
176)Contact Fiat Dealership if a safety system (airbags, brakes), engine system (engine, gearbox) or steering system general protection fuse
blows.
IMPORTANT
31)Never replace a fuse with metal wires or anything else.
32)If it is necessary to wash the engine compartment, take care not to directly hit the fuse box and the window wiper motors with the water
jet.

IN AN EMERGENCY

209)The cooling system is pressurised. If
the cap needs replacing, do so with
another original or the effectiveness of the
system may be compromised. Do not
remove the reservoir plug when the engine
is hot: you risk scalding yourself.
210)Do not travel if the windscreen
washer reservoir is empty: using the
windscreen washer is essential for
improving visibility. Repeated operation of
the system without fluid could damage or
cause rapid deterioration of some system
components.
211)Some commercial additives for
windscreen washer fluid are flammable.
The engine compartment contains hot
components which may start a fire.
212)Brake fluid is poisonous and highly
corrosive. In the event of accidental
contact, immediately wash the affected
parts with water and mild soap. Then rinse
thoroughly. Call a doctor immediately if
swallowed.
213)The symbol
, on the brake fluid
container indicates if a brake fluid is
synthetic or mineral-based. Use of mineral
type fluids will irreparably damage the
braking system’s special rubber seals.
IMPORTANT
44)In any case, you should not exceed the
maximum filling level: you risk damaging the
engine and catalytic converter. If the
maximum level has been exceeded, do not
start the vehicle; contact the Fiat
Dealership.45)Be careful not to confuse the various
types of fluids while topping up: they are
not compatible with each other! Topping up
with an unsuitable fluid could severely
damage the vehicle.
46)The oil level must never exceed the
MAX. mark.
47)Always top up using engine oil of the
same specifications as that already in the
engine.
48)PARAFLU UP protective anti-freeze is
used in the engine cooling system. Use
fluid of the same type as that contained in
the cooling system for any top-ups.
PARAFLU UP liquid cannot be mixed with
any other type of fluid. If this happens, do
not start the engine under any
circumstances and contact a Fiat
Dealership.
49)Prevent brake fluid, which is highly
corrosive, from coming into contact with
painted parts. Should it happen,
immediately wash with water.
IMPORTANT
5)The used engine oil and the filter that has
been replaced contain substances that are
harmful to the environment. To change the
oil and filters, we advise you to contact a
Fiat Dealership.
FILTERS
Replacement of filtering components
(air filter, passenger compartment filter,
oil filter, etc.) is provided in the vehicle's
Scheduled Service Plan.

If it undergoes correct service, the
vehicle can last longer. Therefore, we
advise you to regularly see to servicing
the interior of your vehicle.
Every spot must be seen to promptly.
Whatever caused the stain, use cold,
soapy water (possibly warm) based on
mild soap.
Detergents are prohibited (liquid
detergent for dishes, powdered
detergent, alcohol-based products).
Use a soft cloth.
Rinse and blot the excess water.
Instrument glass
(For example: instrument panel, clock,
outside temperature display panel,
radio display panel etc.)
Using a soft, cotton cloth. If this is not
sufficient, use a soft cloth (or a cotton
pad) slightly wetted with soapy water,
then rinse with a soft cloth or wet
cotton.
Finish by drying delicately with a soft,
dry cloth.
Do not use alcohol-based products
and/or liquid sprays on the area.Seat belts
They should be kept clean.
Use products selected by Fiat services
or soap and warm water, rubbing with a
sponge and drying with a dry cloth.
Do not use detergents or chemical
products.
Fabric (seats, door upholstery, etc.)
Dust the fabric regularly.
Liquid spots
Use soapy water.
Blot lightly (without rubbing) with a soft
cloth, then rinse and remove residual
liquid.
Solid or pasty spots
Immediately and delicately remove the
excess solid or pasty material with a
spatula (working from the edges to the
middle, keeping the spot from growing).
Clean as indicated for liquid spots.
Special procedure for candy,
chewing gum
Apply an ice cube to crystallise it, then
proceed as indicated for solid spots.

advice or in case of unsatisfactory
results, see a Fiat Dealership.Dismounting/remounting
removable equipment original to
the vehicle
If you need to remove original
equipment from the passenger
compartment (for example, mats) in
order to clean it, be sure to replace
them carefully on the correct side (the
driver's mat goes on the driver's side)
and fasten them using the components
supplied with them (for example, the
driver's mat must be held in place with
the standard fastening elements).
In any case, when the vehicle is
stopped, make sure nothing can
interfere with driving (obstacle impeding
use of the pedals: a heel that catches
on the mat, etc.).
What not to do
Placing objects where the diffusers are,
such as deodorants, air fresheners,
etc., which could damage the
dashboard trim.
Use a high-powered or spray cleaner
inside the passenger compartment:
without the necessary precautions, you
could damage the electrical or
electronic components in the vehicle.

Electric equipment
Traces of condensation in front or rear
headlights.Traces of condensation can be due to
natural causes linked to temperature
variations and humidity. In this case,
they will gradually disappear when you
turn the lights on.
The front seat belt warning light turns
on even if the seat belts are fastened.An object has come between the
floorboard and the seat, obstructing
the sensor's function.Remove any object that is beneath the front seats.
