WARNING: The head restraint isa safety device. Whenever possible itshould be installed and properlyadjusted when the seat is occupied.Failure to adjust the head restraintproperly could reduce its effectivenessduring certain impacts.
WARNING: Adjust the headrestraints for all passengers before youdrive your vehicle. This will help minimizethe risk of neck injury in the event of acrash. Do not adjust the head restraintswhen your vehicle is moving.
Note:Adjust the seat backrest to an uprightdriving position before adjusting the headrestraint. Adjust the head restraint so thatthe top of it is level with the top of your headand as far forward as possible. Make surethat you remain comfortable. If you areextremely tall, adjust the head restraint toits highest position.
Front Seat Head Restraint
The front seat head restraint consists of:
An energy absorbing headrestraint.A
Two steel stems.B
Guide sleeve adjust and unlockbutton.C
Guide sleeve unlock and removebutton.D
Rear Seat Outermost Head Restraint
The rear seat outermost head restraintconsists of:

Rear Seat Center Head Restraint

The rear center head restraint consists of:
An energy absorbing headrestraint.A
Two steel stems.B
Guide sleeve unlock and removebutton.C
Raising the Head Restraint
Pull the head restraint up.
Lowering the Head Restraint
1.Press and hold button C.
2.Push the head restraint down.
Tilting the Front Seat HeadRestraint (If Equipped)
The front head restraint tilts for extracomfort. To tilt the head restraint, do thefollowing:
1.Adjust the seat backrest to an uprightdriving or riding position.
2.Pivot the head restraint forward towardyour head to the desired position.
After the head restraint reaches theforward-most tilt position, pivot it forwardagain to release it to the rearward, un-tiltedposition.
Folding the Rear Seat OutermostHead Restraint
1.Press and hold button E.
2.Pull the head restraint back up to reset.
Removing the Head Restraint
Removing the Front Seat HeadRestraint and the Rear Seat OutermostHead Restraint
1.Pull the head restraint up until itreaches its highest position.
2.Press and hold buttons C and D.
3.Pull the head restraint up.
Removing the Rear Seat Center HeadRestraint
1.Pull the head restraint up until itreaches its highest position.
2.Press and hold buttons C.
3.Pull the head restraint up.
Installing the Head Restraint
Align the steel stems into the guide sleevesand push the head restraint down until itlocks.
MANUAL SEATS
WARNING: Do not adjust thedriver seat or seat backrest when yourvehicle is moving. This may result insudden seat movement, causing the lossof control of your vehicle.

WARNING: Do not recline theseatback too far as this can cause theoccupant to slide under the seatbelt,resulting in serious injury in the event ofa collision.
WARNING: Do not place cargo orany objects behind the seat backrestbefore returning it to the original position.Pull on the seat backrest to make surethat it has fully latched after returningthe seat backrest to its original position.An unlatched seat may becomedangerous if you stop suddenly or havea crash.
WARNING: Make sure the seatfully locks into place by rocking itbackward and forward. Not securing theseat into the locked position can bedangerous in a crash and could causeserious personal injury or death.

Adjusting the Height of theDriver’s Seat (If Equipped)Recline Adjustment
POWER SEATS (IF EQUIPPED)
WARNING: Do not adjust thedriver seat or seat backrest when yourvehicle is moving. This may result insudden seat movement, causing the lossof control of your vehicle.
WARNING: Reclining the seatbackcan cause an occupant to slide under theseat's seatbelt, resulting in severepersonal injuries in the event of a crash.

REAR SEATS
Flip and Fold Seat
With the seat unoccupied, lift the cushionand then fold down the seat back.
Lifting the Seat Cushion
WARNING: Do not use the benchseats as a bed when your vehicle ismoving. Failure to follow this warningcould result in serious personal injury ordeath.
WARNING: When folding orunfolding the seats, take care not to getyour fingers caught between the seatbackrest and seat frame. Failure tofollow this warning could result in seriouspersonal injury.
WARNING: Do not place anyobjects on a folded seat. Hard objectsmay become projectiles in a crash orsudden stop, which may increase the riskof serious personal injury.
Insert your hand into the pull-strap on thecushion, lift upward on the cushion to flipit forward.
Lowering the Seat Cushion
WARNING: Make sure that theseat backrests are secure and fullylocked in their catches.
Note:When lowering the cushion, makesure no foreign objects are trappedunderneath.

Folding the Seatback Upright
WARNING: When unfolding theseat, make sure that the seatbelts arenot trapped behind the seat.
Note:Make sure that the seat cushion andbackrests are secure and fully locked in theircatches.
With the seat free of foreign objects, liftthe seatback upright.
Secure the seatback in a fully upright andlatched position, the latches will besecured to the side-pillar mounted strikers.
Rear Seat Armrest (if equipped)

Fold the armrest down to use the armrest.
HEATED SEATS (IF EQUIPPED)
WARNING: Use caution whenusing the heated seat if you are unableto feel pain to your skin because ofadvanced age, chronic illness, diabetes,spinal cord injury, medication, alcoholuse, exhaustion or other physicalconditions. The heated seat could causeburns even at low temperatures,especially if used for long periods of time.Failure to follow this instruction couldresult in personal injury.
WARNING: Do not place anythingon the seat that blocks the heat, forexample a seat cover or a cushion. Thiscould cause the seat to overheat. Failureto follow this instruction could result inpersonal injury.
WARNING: Do not poke sharpobjects into the seat cushion or seatbackrest. This could damage the heatedseat element and cause it to overheat.Failure to follow this instruction couldresult in personal injury.
Do not do the following:
•Place heavy objects on the seat.
•Operate the heated seat if water or anyother liquid is spilled on the seat. Allowthe seat to dry thoroughly.
•Operate the heated seats unless theengine is running. Doing so can causethe battery to lose charge.
Press the heated seat symbol to cyclethrough the various heat settings and off.Warmer settings are indicated by moreindicator lights.

12 Volt DC Power Point
WARNING: Do not plug optionalelectrical accessories into the cigarlighter socket. Incorrect use of the cigarlighter can cause damage not coveredby the vehicle warranty, and can resultin fire or serious injury.
Note:When you switch the ignition on, youcan use the socket to power 12 voltappliances with a maximum current ratingof 15 amps.
If the power supply does not work after youswitch the ignition off, switch the ignitionon.Note:Do not hang any accessory from theaccessory plug.
Note:Do not use the power point over thevehicle capacity of 12 volt DC 180 watts ora fuse may blow.
Note:Always keep the power point capsclosed when not in use.
Do not insert objects other than anaccessory plug into the power point.
This damages the power point and mayblow the fuse.
Run the vehicle for full capacity use of thepower point.
To prevent the battery from running out ofcharge:
•Do not use the power point longer thannecessary when the vehicle is notrunning.
•Do not leave devices plugged inovernight or when you park your vehiclefor extended periods.
Locations
Power points may be in the followinglocations:
•On the front of the center console.
•Next to the rear seat on the right handside.
110 Volt AC Power Point (If Equipped)
WARNING: Do not keep electricaldevices plugged in the power pointwhenever the device is not in use. Do notuse any extension cord with the 110 voltAC power point, since it will defeat thesafety protection design. Doing so maycause the power point to overload dueto powering multiple devices that canreach beyond the 150 watt load limit andcould result in fire or serious injury.
Note:The power point turns off when youswitch the ignition off, or when the batteryvoltage drops below 11 volts.

CENTER CONSOLE
WARNING: Use only soft cups inthe cup holders. Hard objects can injureyou in a crash.
Your vehicle may be equipped with avariety of console features. These include:
•front cup holders
•storage compartments under armrestwith pen holder and removable tray
•storage compartments for mobilephone in front of shifter lever
•auxiliary input jack (if equipped)
•USB (if equipped)
•auxiliary power point.
GLASSES HOLDER (IF EQUIPPED)
The glasses must be placed in the glassesholder with the lenses facing downward.If not, the glasses can fall down when theglasses holder is open.

GENERAL INFORMATION
WARNING: Extended idling at highengine speeds can produce very hightemperatures in the engine and exhaustsystem, creating the risk of fire or otherdamage.
WARNING: Do not park, idle ordrive your vehicle on dry grass or otherdry ground cover. The emission systemheats up the engine compartment andexhaust system, creating the risk of fire.
WARNING: Do not start the enginein a closed garage or in other enclosedareas. Exhaust fumes can be toxic.Always open the garage door before youstart the engine.
WARNING: Exhaust leaks mayresult in entry of harmful and potentiallylethal fumes into the passengercompartment. If you smell exhaustfumes inside your vehicle, have yourvehicle inspected immediately. Do notdrive if you smell exhaust fumes.
If you disconnect the battery, your vehiclemay exhibit some unusual drivingcharacteristics for approximately 5 mi(10 km) after you reconnect it. This isbecause the engine management systemmust realign itself with the engine. You candisregard any unusual drivingcharacteristics during this period.
When you start the engine, do not pressthe accelerator pedal before and duringoperation. Only use the accelerator pedalwhen you have difficulty starting theengine.
IGNITION SWITCH
Note:Make sure the key is clean beforeinserting it into any lock cylinder.
Note: Do not leave the key in the ignitionfor an extended period of time when theengine is not running. This is to prevent thevehicle battery from losing charge.
Switching the Ignition Off
Turn the key to position 0.
Switching the Ignition toAccessory Mode
Turn the key to position I. Electricalaccessories, for example the radio, operatewithout the engine running.
Switching the Ignition On
Turn the key to position II. All electricalcircuits and accessories are operationaland the warning lamps and indicatorsilluminate.
