Information Displays

AUTOMATIC CLIMATE CONTROL
Power and Driver temperature control: Press the button to switch the systemon and off. When the system is off, it prevents outside air from entering thevehicle. Adjusts the temperature setting using the control on the driver side.

Climate controlled seats: Press the button to switch the climate controlledseats on and off. See Climate Controlled Seats (page 135).B
Heated seats: Press the button to switch the heated seats on and off. SeeHeated Seats (page 134).C
Heated rear window: Press the button to switch the heated rear window onand off. See Heated Windows and Mirrors (page 121).D
Defrost: Select to distribute air through the windshield air vents. Air distributionto the instrument panel and footwell vents turns off. You can also use thissetting to defrost and clear the windshield of a thin covering of ice.
E
A/C: Press the button to switch the air conditioning on or off. Air conditioningcools your vehicle using outside air. To improve the time to reach a comfortabletemperature in hot weather, drive with the windows open until you feel cold airthrough the air vents.
F
Note: In certain conditions (for example, maximum defrost), the air conditioningcompressor may continue to operate even though the air conditioning isswitched off.

HEATED WINDOWS AND
MIRRORS
Heated Rear Window
Note:Make sure the engine is runningbefore operating the heated windows.
Press the button to clear theheated rear window of thin iceand fog. The heated rear windowwill automatically turn off after a shortperiod of time. Start the engine before youswitch the heated rear window on.
Note:Do not use razor blades or othersharp objects to clean or remove decalsfrom the inside of the heated rear window.The vehicle warranty does not coverdamage caused to the heated rear windowgrid lines.
Heated Exterior Mirror (If Equipped)
When you switch the heated rear windowon, the heated exterior mirrors willautomatically turn on.
Note:Do not remove ice from the mirrorswith a scraper or adjust the mirror glasswhen it is frozen in place.
Note:Do not clean the mirror housing orglass with harsh abrasives, fuel or otherpetroleum-based cleaning products.
REMOTE START (If Equipped)
The remote start feature allows you topre-condition the interior of your vehicle.The climate control system works toachieve comfort according to your previoussettings.
Note:You cannot adjust the system duringremote start operation.
Turn the ignition on to return the systemto its previous settings. You can now makeadjustments normally, but you need to turncertain vehicle-dependent features backon, such as:
•Heated seats.
•Cooled seats.
•Heated steering wheel.
•Heated mirrors.
•Heated rear window.
You can adjust the default remote startsettings using the information displaycontrols. See Information Displays(page 92).
Automatic Settings
In hot weather, the system is set to 72°F(22°C). The cooled seats are set to high(if available, and selected to AUTO in theinformation display).
In moderate weather, the system eitherheats or cools (based on previoussettings). The rear defroster, heatedmirrors and heated seats do notautomatically turn on.
In cold weather, the system is set to 72°F(22°C). The heated seats are set to high(if available, and selected to AUTO in theinformation display). The rear defrosterand heated mirrors automatically turn on.

2. Continue pressing the control until itreaches the end of the seat track.
3.Continue pressing the control for abouttwo seconds. You will feel the seatbounce back slightly.
Power Lumbar (If Equipped)
The control is located on the outboard sideof the seat. Press the forward or rearwardside of the control for more or less support.
MEMORY FUNCTION (If Equipped)
WARNINGS
Before activating the seat memory,make sure that the area immediatelysurrounding the seat is clear ofobstructions and that all occupants areclear of moving parts.
Do not use the memory functionwhen your vehicle is moving.
This feature automatically recalls theposition of the following:
•Driver seat.
•Power mirrors.
•Power steering column.
•Optional power adjustable foot pedals.
The memory control is located on the leftside of the driver seat.
Saving a PreSet Position
1. Switch the ignition on.
2. Adjust the memory features to yourdesired position.
3. Press and hold the desired presetbutton until you hear a single tone.
You can save up to two preset memorypositions.
You can save a memory preset at any time.
Recalling a PreSet Position
Switch the ignition on.
Press and release the preset buttonassociated with your desired drivingposition. The memory features will moveto the position stored for that preset.
Note:You can only recall preset memoryposition when you switch the ignition off, orwhen you place the transmission in park (P)or neutral (N) if you switch the ignition on.
Note:If you enable Easy Exit, a memoryrecall when the ignition is off will move tothe easy exit position.

You can also recall a preset memoryposition by:
•Pressing the unlock button on yourremote control if it is linked to a presetposition.
•Unlocking the intelligent driver doorhandle if a linked key fob is present.
•Entering a personal entry code on theSecuricode keypad. See Locks (page53).
Note:Using a linked key fob to recall yourmemory position when the ignition is offmoves the seat and steering column to theEasy Entry position.
Note:Pressing any active memory featurecontrol - power seat, mirror (or steeringcolumn switch) (or any memory button)during a memory recall cancels theoperation.
Linking a PreSet Position to yourRemote Control or Intelligent AccessKey Fob
Your vehicle can save the preset memorypositions for up to two remote controls.
1.With the ignition on, move the memorypositions to the desired positions.
2. Press and hold the desired presetbutton for about five seconds. A tonewill sound after about two seconds.Continue holding until a second toneis heard.
3. Within three seconds, press the lockbutton on the remote control you arelinking.
To unlink a remote control, follow thesame procedure – except in step 3, pressthe unlock button on the remote control.
Note:If more than one linked remotecontrol or intelligent access key is in range,the memory function moves to the settingsof the first key to initiate a memory recall.
Easy Entry and Exit Feature (If
Equipped)
This feature adjusts the position of the seatand steering column to allow easier exitand entry to the vehicle.
The driver seat automatically moves 2inches (5 centimeters) rearward when thetransmission is in park (P) and you removethe key from the ignition or you switch theignition off.
The driver seat returns to the previousposition when you put the key in theignition or switch the ignition on.
You can enable or disable this feature inthe information display. See InformationDisplays (page 92).
REAR SEATS
Folding Down the Second Row40% Seat
WARNINGS
Use caution when folding theseatback to the flat back position asthe system will move forward whenyou lift the release handle.
Before returning the seatback to itsoriginal position, make sure thatcargo or any objects are not trappedbehind the seatback. After returning theseatback to its original position, pull on theseatback to make sure that it has fullylatched. An unlatched seat may becomedangerous in the event of a sudden stopor crash.
Make sure that the head restraint is in thedown position and no objects such asbooks, purses or briefcases are on the floorin front of the second row seats beforefolding them down.

REAR VIEW CAMERA
WARNINGS
The rear view camera system is areverse aid supplement device thatstill requires the driver to use it inconjunction with the interior and exteriormirrors for maximum coverage.
Objects that are close to eithercorner of the bumper or under thebumper, might not be seen on thescreen due to the limited coverage of thecamera system.
Back up as slow as possible sincehigher speeds might limit yourreaction time to stop your vehicle.
Use caution when using the rearvideo camera and the luggagecompartment door is ajar. If theluggage compartment door is ajar, thecamera will be out of position and thevideo image may be incorrect. Allguidelines disappear when the luggagecompartment door is ajar.
Use caution when turning camerafeatures on or off. Make sure yourvehicle is not moving.
The rear view camera system provides avideo image of the area behind yourvehicle.
During operation, lines appear in thedisplay which represent your vehicle’s pathand proximity to objects behind yourvehicle.
The camera is located on the luggagecompartment door.
Using the Rear View CameraSystem
The rear view camera system displayswhat is behind your vehicle when you placethe transmission in reverse (R).
The system uses two types of guides tohelp you see what is behind your vehicle:
•Fixed guidelines: Show the actual pathyour vehicle is moving in while reversingin a straight line. This can be helpfulwhen backing into a parking space oraligning your vehicle with anotherobject behind you.
•Centerline: Helps align the center ofyour vehicle with an object (forexample, a trailer).
Note:The image may remain onmomentarily when you shift thetransmission out of reverse (R). If yourvehicle speed reaches 6 mph (10 km/h) or10 seconds elapse and the image remainson, have your system inspected by anauthorized dealer.

Note:When towing, the camera only seeswhat you are towing behind your vehicle.This might not provide adequate coverageas it usually provides in normal operationand you might not see some objects. Insome vehicles, the guidelines may disappearonce you engage the trailer tow connector.
The camera may not operate correctlyunder the following conditions:
•Nighttime or dark areas if one or bothreverse lamps are not operating.
•Mud, water or debris obstructs thecamera's view. Clean the lens with asoft, lint-free cloth and non-abrasivecleaner.
•The camera is misaligned due todamage to the rear of your vehicle.

Always use caution while reversing.Objects in the red zone are closest to yourvehicle and objects in the green zone arefarther away. Objects are getting closer toyour vehicle as they move from the greenzone to the yellow or red zones. Use theside view mirrors and rear view mirror toget better coverage on both sides and rearof the vehicle.
Camera System Settings
Rear view camera system settings can beaccessed through the multifunctionaldisplay. See General Information (page92).
Enhanced Park Aids or Park Pilot
Selectable settings for this feature are ONand OFF.
The system uses red, yellow and greenhighlights which appear on top of the videoimage when an object is detected by thereverse sensing system. The alert highlightsthe closest object detected. The reversesensing alert can be disabled and if visualpark aid alert is enabled, highlighted areasare still displayed.
Manual Zoom
WARNING
When manual zoom is on, the fullarea behind your vehicle is notshown. Be aware of yoursurroundings when using the manual zoomfeature.
Note:Manual zoom is only available whenthe transmission is in reverse (R).
Note:Only the centerline shows when youenable manual zoom.
Selectable settings for this feature areZoom in (+) and Zoom out (-). Press thesymbol on the camera screen to changethe view. The default setting is Zoom OFF.

BLIND SPOT INFORMATION
SYSTEM
WARNING
To help avoid injuries, NEVER use theBlind Spot Information System as areplacement for using the interiorand exterior mirrors or looking over yourshoulder before changing lanes. The BlindSpot Information System is not areplacement for careful driving.
The Blind Spot Information System isdesigned to aid you in detecting vehiclesthat may have entered the blind spot zone(A). The detection area is on both sides ofyour vehicle, extending rearward from theexterior mirrors to approximately 13 ft(4 m) beyond the bumper. The system isdesigned to alert you if certain vehiclesenter the blind spot zone while driving.
Note:The Blind Spot Information Systemdoes not prevent contact with other vehiclesor objects; nor detect parked vehicles,people, animals or infrastructure (fences,guardrails, trees). It’s only designed to alertyou to vehicles in the blind spot zones.
Note:When a vehicle passes quicklythrough the blind spot zone, typically fewerthan two seconds, the system does nottrigger.
Using the System
The Blind Spot Information System turnson when you start the engine and you driveyour vehicle forward above 5 mph(8 km/h).
For automatic transmissions, the BlindSpot Information System remains on whilethe transmission is in drive (D). If shiftedinto reverse (R) or park (P) the Blind SpotInformation System turns off. Once shiftedback into drive (D), the Blind SpotInformation System turns back on whenyou drive your vehicle above 5 mph(8 km/h).
For manual transmissions, the Blind SpotInformation System is on for all gearsexcept the reverse (R).
Note:The Blind Spot Information Systemdoes not function in reverse (R) or park (P).

The Blind Spot Information Systemilluminates an amber alert indicator in theoutside mirror on the side of your vehiclethe approaching vehicle is coming from.When the Blind Spot Information Systemis alerting on a vehicle and thecorresponding turn signal is ON, the BlindSpot Information System alert indicatorflashes as an increased warning level.
The alert indicator dims when the systemdetects nighttime darkness.
Note:The alert indicator flashes in case ofan alert and the turn signal is set to that sideat the same time.
System Sensor Blockage
WARNING
To help avoid injuries, NEVER use theBlind Spot Information System as areplacement for using the interiorand exterior mirrors or looking over yourshoulder before changing lanes. The BlindSpot Information System is not areplacement for careful driving.
The system uses radar sensors that arelocated behind the bumper fascia on eachside of your vehicle. Any dirt, mud andsnow in front of the sensors and/or drivingin heavy rain can cause systemdegradation. Also, other types ofobstructions in front of the sensor cancause system degradation. This is referredto as a ‘blocked’ condition.
Note:Do not apply bumper stickers and/orrepair compound to these areas, this cancause degraded system performance.

If the system detects a degradedperformance condition, a message warningof a blocked sensor will appear in theinformation display. Also the BLIS alertindicators will remain ON and BLIS will nolonger provide any vehicle warnings. Youcan clear the information display warningbut the alert indicators will remainilluminated.
A "blocked" condition can be cleared intwo ways:
•After the blockage in front of thesensors is removed or therainfall/snowfall rate decreases orstops, drive for a few minutes in trafficto allow the sensors to detect passingvehicles.
•By cycling the ignition from ON to OFFand then back ON.
Note:If your vehicle has a tow bar with afactory equipped trailer tow module and itis towing a trailer, the sensors willautomatically turn the Blind SpotInformation System off. If your vehicle hasa tow bar but no factory equipped trailertow module, it is recommended to turn theBlind Spot Information System offmanually. Operating the Blind SpotInformation System with a trailer attachedwill cause poor system performance.
System Errors
If the system senses a problem with theleft or right sensor, the telltale willilluminate and a message will appear inthe information display. See InformationMessages (page 103).
Switching the System Off and On
You can temporarily switch the Blind SpotInformation System off in the informationdisplay. See General Information (page92). When the Blind Spot InformationSystem switches off, you will not receivealerts and the information display showsa system off message. The telltale in thecluster also illuminates. When you switchthe Blind Spot Information System on oroff, the alert indicators flash twice.
Note:The Blind Spot Information Systemremembers the last selected on or offsetting.
You can also have the Blind SpotInformation System switched offpermanently at an authorized dealer. Onceswitched off permanently, the system canonly be switched back on at an authorizeddealer.
CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT
WARNING
To help avoid personal injury, NEVERuse the Cross Traffic Alert system asa replacement for using the interiorand exterior mirrors and looking over yourshoulder before backing out of a parkingspace. Cross Traffic Alert is not areplacement for careful driving.
Cross Traffic Alert is designed to warn youof vehicles approaching from the sideswhen the transmission is in reverse (R).
Using the System
Cross Traffic Alert turns on when you startthe engine and you shift into reverse (R).Once shifted out of reverse (R), CrossTraffic Alert turns off.
Note:Cross Traffic Alert only functionswhile your transmission is in reverse (R).
