Compass calibration adjustment
Perform this adjustment in an open
area free from steel structures and
high voltage lines:
²Press and hold the MODE control
until CAL appears in the display
(approximately eight seconds)
and release.
²Drive the vehicle slowly (less
than 5 km/h [3 mph]) in circles
until CAL indicator turns off in
about 2±3 complete circles.
Interior Lamps
Courtesy/reading lamps
The courtesy lamp lights when:
²any door is opened.
²the instrument panel dimmer
switch is held up until the
courtesy lamps come on.
²the UNLOCK control of the
remote entry controls is pressed
and the ignition is OFF.
The reading lamps can be turned on
by pressing the rocker controls next
to each lamp.
If equipped with Remote Keyless Entry, the courtesy lamp will illuminate
whenever any door is opened and will remain on for 25 seconds after the
door is shut or when the ignition is turned to the ON position.

Illuminated entry
The interior lamps illuminate when the remote entry system is used to
unlock the door(s) or sound the personal alarm.
The system automatically turns off after 25 seconds or when the ignition
is turned to the ON position. The dome lamp control (if equipped) must
notbe set to the OFF position for the illuminated entry system to
operate.
The inside lights will not turn off if:
²they have been turned on with the dimmer control or
²any door is open
The battery saver will shut off the interior lamps 40 minutes after the
ignition has been turned to the OFF position.
Power door trim switch inhibit
Twenty seconds after the ignition is
OFF and the doors are closed and
locked, the power door switch
UNLOCK function will not work (the
LOCK function will still work).
The UNLOCK function will operate
again after the door becomes ajar,
the ignition is turned ON or a valid UNLOCK command is received from
the key fob or key pad.
KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM (IF EQUIPPED)
With the keyless entry keypad, you
can:
²lock or unlock the vehicle doors
without using the key
²activate/deactivate the autolock feature

Your vehicle has a factory-set 5±digit code that operates the keyless
entry system. You can also program your own 5±digit personal entry
code.

USING THE RIGHT BULBS
Replacement bulbs are specified in the chart below. Headlamp bulbs
must be marked with an authorized ªD.O.T.º for North America and an
ªEº for Europe to assure lamp performance, light brightness and pattern
and safe visibility. The correct bulbs will not damage the lamp assembly
or void the lamp assembly warranty and will provide quality bulb burn
time.

²interior overhead lamp
²map lamp

AIMING THE HEADLAMPS
The headlamps on your vehicle are properly aimed at the assembly plant.
