The engine has been designed to be usedwith Castrol and Ford Engine Oil, whichgives a fuel economy benefit whilemaintaining the durability of the engine.
Adding oil: If you are unable to find an oilthat meets the specification defined byWSS-M2C913-D or WSS-M2C950-A, youmust use SAE 5W-30 or SAE 0W-30 thatmeets the specification defined by ACEAA5/B5.
Using oils other than the one specified canresult in longer engine cranking periods,reduced engine performance, reduced fueleconomy and increased emission levels.
Castrol engine oil recommended.
