Tire Pressure MoniToring 
sysTeM (TPMs)
Your vehicle is equipped with a tire 
pressure monitoring system which   
alerts you when one or more of your 
tires is significantly under-inflated. If 
the low tire pressure warning light 
 illuminates, stop and check your 
tires as soon as possible and ensure 
that they are inflated to the proper 
recommendations. The recommended 
specifications can be found on the Tire 
Label or Safety Compliance Certification 
Label located on the driver’s door 
jamb or the edge of the driver’s door. 
each tire including the spare should be 
checked monthly and inflated to the 
recommended levels. Refer to your 
Owner’s Guide for more information.  roadside assisTance 
Your new Ford Transit Connect comes 
with the assurance and support of 
 
24-hour emergency roadside 
assistance. Roadside assistance includes 
such services as: lock-out assistance, 
limited fuel delivery, battery jump starts, 
changing a flat tire, towing, and winch 
out. To receive roadside assistance in   
the United States, call 1 (800) 241-3673.  
In Canada, call 1 (800) 665-2006. 
fuel Tank caPaciTy/   
fuel inforMaTion 
Your vehicle has a fuel tank capacity  
of 15.1 gallons (57.1L). Use only “Regular” 
gasoline with an octane rating of 87.  
Do not use e85 fuels because your 
vehicle was not designed to run on   
fuels with more than 10% ethanol.

1  HeadlaMP conTrols 
  :  Turns the headlamps off. :   Turns on parking, instrument panel, 
license plate and tail lamps. 
  : Turns on the headlamps. 
To activate the rear fog lamp, turn the 
control to the headlamp position 
 
and pull the control towards you. 
note: Only use the rear fog lamps 
when visibility is restricted to less than 
165ft (50m).
 
2  MulTi-funcT ion lever
	 •	 	 Move	the	lever 	down	for	a	 
single wipe.
	 •	 	
For	intermittent	 wiping,	move	 
the control up one position and   
adjust the rotary control to the 
desired speed.
	 •	 	 For	normal	operation,	move	 
the control up two positions. 
	 •	 	 For	high	speed	wiping,	move	 
the control up three positions.
	 •	 	 To	activate	the	windshield	washer,	
push in the washer control 
on  
the edge of the stalk.
   rear window wiPer wasH   
 
(if equipped)  
 Pull the lever toward you for    
 intermittent wiping.   
  Pull further toward you to operate 
the washer. 
3  Manual Hea Ting and air 
condiTioning sysTeM 
Allows you to manually select and 
adjust the temperature, airflow 
direction and fan speed as well as 
recirculated air and air conditioning. 
Refer to your Owner’s Guide for 
complete information.
4 rear window defrosT
Press 
to clear the rear window  
of thin ice and fog. Press again   
to deactivate. note: If your vehicle is 
equipped with exterior heated mirrors, 
activating the rear defrost will also 
activate the heated mirrors.
5  aM/fM sTereo wiTH   single cd  (if equipped ) 
Allows you to manually select radio 
stations, play CDs and make sound 
adjustments. Refer to your Owner’s 
Guide for more information on   
this system.
BlueTooTH
® Hands-free sysTeM  
(if equipped) 
Your vehicle may be equipped with 
Bluetooth wireless technology which 
works with your cellular phone to 
allow you to send and receive calls  
in a hands-free manner. Your phone 
must be enabled and connected 
(bonded or paired) to the vehicle’s 
system. Refer to your Owner’s   
Guide for more information or visit   
www.fordvehicles.com/transitconnect. oPening THe Hood 
Your vehicle is equipped with a locking hood latch located beneath the 
 
badge on the hood. 
To open:
  1.  Rotate the hood badge counterclockwise and insert the key. 
  2.    Turn the key to the left to release the primary latch, then turn the 
key to the right to release the secondary latch. ensure that you 
remove the key immediately after opening the hood and return 
the badge to its proper place. 
  3.  Lift the hood and secure it using the prop rod.
reMoTe enTry sysTeM  (if equipped) 
	 •	 	 Press	
 once to unlock the front and sliding doors.  
Press again within three seconds to unlock all doors.
	 •	 	
Press	
 to unlock the cargo door.
	 •	 	
Press	 to lock all doors.  
note: Your keys are electronically coded to your vehicle. Using a non-coded k\
ey 
will not permit your vehicle to start. Replacement keys are available th\
rough your 
authorized dealer. Refer to your Owner’s Guide for more information.
cenTral locking
	 •	 	 To	unlock	the	front	and	sliding	doors,	insert	the	key	into	the	driver’s	door	and	  
turn it toward the front of the vehicle.
	 •	 	
To	lock	all	doors,	turn	the	key	toward	the	rear	of	the	vehicle.

fuel filler lock
Your vehicle is equipped with a lock on the fuel filler door.   
To unlock, simply insert your key into the lock and turn. 
oPening THe fronT windows
Press or pull the window switches  
located on the center console to   
open or close the windows.
