Traction Controlysystem begins applying and releasing the brakes and
adjusting the engine characteristics to limit a wheelspin condition. It will
be lit for a minimum of four seconds or for the duration of the Traction
Controlyevent.

Traction ControlYoff light (if equipped)
Momentarily illuminates when the
ignition is turned to ON position and
illuminates when the Traction
Controlysystem has been disabled
(by the driver or as a result of a system failure). For more information,
refer to theDrivingchapter.
Safety belt
Momentarily illuminates when the
ignition is turned to the ON position
to remind you to fasten your safety
belts. For more information, refer to
theSeating and safety restraints
chapter.
Anti-theft system

Turn signal
Illuminates when the left or right
turn signal or the hazard lights are
turned on. If one or both of the
indicators stay on continuously or
flash faster, check for a burned-out
turn signal bulb. Refer toExterior bulbsin theMaintenance and care

Anti-lock brake system (ABS)
Momentarily illuminates when the
ignition is turned to the ON
position. If the light remains on or
fails to illuminate, have the system
serviced immediately. With the ABS
light on, the anti-lock brake system is disabled and normal braking is still
effective unless the brake warning light also remains illuminated with the
parking brake released.
Air bag readiness
Momentarily illuminates when the
ignition is turned ON. If the light
fails to illuminate, continues to flash
or remains on, have the system
serviced immediately.
High beams
Illuminates when the high beam
headlamps are turned on.
Engine oil pressure
Momentarily illuminates when the
ignition is turned to the ON position
and the engine is off. Illuminates
when the oil pressure falls below the
normal range. Stop the vehicle as
soon as safely possible and switch off the engine immediately. Check the
oil level and add oil if needed. Refer toEngine oilin theMaintenance
and carechapter.
Brake system warning
Momentarily illuminates when the
ignition is turned to the ON
position. Also illuminates if the
parking brake is engaged. If the
brake warning lamp does not

Low washer fluid
Illuminates when the ignition is
turned to the START position and
when the windshield washer fluid is
low.
Safety belt warning chime
Sounds to remind you to fasten your safety belts.
For information on the safety belt warning chime, refer to theSeating

Supplemental restraint system (SRS) warning chime
For information on the SRS warning chime, refer to theSeating and
safety restraintschapter.
Key-in-ignition warning chime
Sounds when the key is left in the ignition in the OFF/LOCK or ACC
position and the driver's door is opened.
Headlamps on warning chime
Sounds when the headlamps or parking lamps are on, the ignition is off
(and the key is not in the ignition) and the driver's door is opened.
Turn signal chime
Sounds when the turn signal lever has been activated to signal a turn
and not turned off after the vehicle is driven more than 0.8 km (1/2
mile).

AUTOLAMP CONTROL (IF EQUIPPED)
The autolamp system provides light
sensitive automatic on-off control of
the exterior lights normally
controlled by the headlamp control.
The autolamp system also keeps the
lights on for a fixed period of time
after the ignition switch is turned to
OFF.
²To turn autolamps on, rotate the
control counterclockwise.
²To turn autolamps off, rotate the control clockwise to OFF.

Controls the volume of air circulated
in the vehicle.

²Remove any snow, ice or leaves
from the air intake area (at the
bottom of the windshield under
the hood).
²Do not place objects over the defroster outlets. These objects can
block airflow and reduce your ability to see through your windshield.
Also, avoid placing small objects on top of your instrument panel.
These objects can fall down into the defroster outlets and block
airflow and possibly damage your climate control system.
²To get maximum heating performance from the second row floor vents
(located under the front row seats), place the front mode selector
control in the
(floor) position and set the fan speed to its highest
setting.
Do not place objects on top of the instrument panel, as these
objects may become projectiles in a collision or sudden stop.

²Do not place objects over the defroster outlets. These objects can
block airflow and reduce your ability to see through your windshield.
Also, avoid placing small objects on top of your instrument panel.
These objects can fall down into the defroster outlets and block
airflow and possibly damage your climate control system.
²To get maximum heating performance from the second row floor vents
(located under the front row seats), place the front mode selector
control in the
(floor) position and set the fan speed to its highest
setting.
²If the air conditioner works well in MAX A/C, but not in any other
mode when the A/C control is selected, this may indicate that the
passenger compartment air filter (if equipped) needs to be replaced.
To aide in side window defogging:
1. Select
(Panel and Floor)
2. Set the temperature control to full heat
3. Select A/C
4. Set the fan speed to High
5. Direct the outer panel vents towards the side windows
6. To increase airflow to the outer panel vents, close the central panel
vents.
Do not place objects on top of the instrument panel, as these
objects may become projectiles in a collision or sudden stop.

Setting the clock
Press CLK to toggle between
listening frequencies and clock
mode.

The CLK control will allow you to
switch between media display mode
(radio station, stereo information,
etc.) and clock display mode (time).
When in clock mode, the media
information will display for ten
seconds, when the radio is turned
on, and then revert to clock
information. Anytime that the media is changed, (new radio station,
etc.), the media information will again display for ten seconds before
reverting back to the clock. In media mode, the media information will
always be displayed.
AM/FM Stereo/Cassette (CD changer compatible)
Your vehicle is equipped with a delayed accessory feature. This feature
enables the audio playing media to continue playing up to 10 minutes
after the ignition has been turned off, or until a door is opened.SEEK
