Wireless Charging System- To activate or deactivate the wireless charging system in the front seat.
For more details, refer to "Wireless Cellular Phone Charging System" in this chapter.
Traffic Infor- To activate or deactivate the traffic information.
When activated, the traffic information will be displayed on the LCD display. (for cluster type B)
Wiper/Lights Display- To activate or deactivate the Wiper/ Light mode.
When activated, the LCD display shows the selected Wiper/Light mode whenever you changed the mode.
Gear Position Pop-up - To activate or deactivate the gear position pop-up.
When activated, the gear position will be displayed on the LCD display.
Icy Road Warning- To activate or deactivate the Icy road warning
When activated, the Icy road warning will be displayed on the LCD display.

Warning lights

NOTICE
Make sure that all warning lights
are OFF after starting the engine. If
any light is still ON, this indicates a
situation that needs attention.
Supplemental Restraint
System Warning Light
This warning light illuminates:
Once you set the Engine Start/
Stop button to the ON position.
- It illuminates for approximately 6
seconds and then goes off.
When there is a malfunction with
the SRS.
In this case, have your vehicle
inspected by an authorized retailer
of Genesis Branded products.
Seat Belt Warning Light
This warning light informs the driver
that the seat belt is not fastened.
For more details, refer to the "Seat

Anti-lock Brake System
(ABS) Warning Light
This warning light illuminates:
Once you set the Engine Start/Stop
button to the ON position.
- It illuminates for approximately 3
seconds and then goes off.
When there is a malfunction with
the ABS (The normal braking sys-
tem will still be operational without
the assistance of the anti-lock
brake system).
In this case, have your vehicle
inspected by an authorized retailer
of Genesis Branded products.
Electronic Brake force
Distribution (EBD)
System Warning Light
These two warning lights illuminate
at the same time while driving:
When the ABS and regular brake
system may not work normally.

of Genesis Branded products. Parking Brake & Brake Fluid
Warning Light
Driving the vehicle with a warn-
ing light ON is dangerous. If the
Parking Brake & Brake Fluid
Warning Light illuminates with
the parking brake released, it
indicates that the brake fluid
level is low.

When the ABS Warning Light is on
or both ABS and Parking Brake &
Brake Fluid Warning Lights are on,
the speedometer, odometer, or trip-
meter may not work. Also, the EPS
Warning Light may illuminate and
the steering effort may increase or
decrease.
In this case, have your vehicle

When the tail lights or headlights
are on.

This indicator light illuminates:
When the front fog lights are on.
Adaptive Front-Lighting
System (AFS) Warning
Light(if equipped)
This warning light illuminates:
Once you place the Engine Start/
Stop Button to the ON position.
- It illuminates for approximately 3
seconds and then goes off.
When there is a malfunction with
the AFS.
If there is a malfunction with the
AFS:
1. Drive carefully to the nearest safe
location and stop your vehicle.
2. Turn the engine off and restart the
engine. If the warning light
remains on, we recommend that
you have the vehicle inspected by
an authorized retailer of Genesis
Branded products.
LED Headlight Warning
Light (if equipped)
This warning light illuminates:
When you place the Engine Start/
Stop button to the ON position.
When there is a malfunction with
the LED headlight.
If this occurs, have the vehicle
inspected by an authorized retailer
of Genesis Branded Products.
This warning light blinks:
When there is a malfunction with a
LED headlight related part.
In this case, have the vehicle inspect-
ed by an authorized retailer of
Genesis Branded Products.

Head Up Display ON/OFF
To activate the head up display,
select "Head-Up Display" on the
"User Settings Mode" in the cluster.
If you do not select "Head-Up
Display", the head up display will be
deactivated.

3) If the light switch is pulled
towards you when the high
beam is on by the High Beam
Assist (HBA), the low beam will
be on and the High Beam
Assist (HBA) will turn off.
4) If the light switch is turned to
the headlamp position ( )
from AUTO position, the High
Beam Assist (HBA) will turn off
and the low beam will be on
continuously.When the High Beam Assist (HBA) is
operating, the high beam switches to
low beam in the below conditions.
- When the headlamp is detected
from the on-coming vehicle.
- When the tail lamp is detected
from the front vehicle.
- When headlamp/tail lamp of bicy-
cle/motorcycle is detected.
- When the surrounding is so bright
that high beams are not needed.
- When streetlights or other lights
are detected.
- When the light switch is not in the
AUTO position.
- When the High Beam Assist (HBA)
is off.
- When vehicle speed is below 22
mph (35 km/h).
Warning light and message
When the High Beam Assist (HBA) is
not working properly, the warning
message will come on for a few sec-
ond. After the message disappears,
the master warning light ( ) will
illuminate.
We recommend that you take your
vehicle to an authorized retailer of
Genesis Branded products and have
the system checked.

Adaptive Front-Lighting System
(AFS) a.k.a. Low Beam Assist-
Dynamic (LBA-D)
Adaptive front-lighting system uses
the steering angle and vehicle
speed, to keep your field of vision
wide by swiveling and leveling the
headlamp.
Change the switch to the AUTO posi-
tion when the engine is running. The
adaptive front-lighting system will
operate when the headlamp is ON.
To turn off the AFS, change the
switch to other positions. After turn-
ing the AFS off, headlamp swiveling
no longer occurs, but leveling oper-
ates continuously.If the AFS malfunction indicator
comes on, the AFS is not working
properly. Drive to the nearest safe
location and restart the engine. If the
indicator continuously remains on,
we recommend that the system be
checked by an authorized retailer of
Genesis Branded products.
Daytime running light (DRL)
The Daytime Running Lights (DRL)
can make it easier for others to see
the front of your vehicle during the
day, especially after dawn and before
sunset.
The DRL will turn off when:
1. The light switch is not in the AUTO
position.
2. The parking brake is applied.
3. The engine is turned off.
4. The hazard warning flasher is on.
5. You turn the turn signal light on.
- If you turn on the turn signal
light, only the corresponding
daytime running lights will turn
off.
6. The High Beam Assist (HBA) is
turned on with pass function for
warning.

Headlamp leveling device
(if equipped)
Automatically adjusts the headlamp
beam level according to the number
of passengers and loading weight in
the luggage area.
If the Headlight Leveling Device is
not working properly have your vehi-
cle inspected by an authorized retail-
er of Genesis Branded products.
Interior lightsInterior lamp AUTO cut
The interior lamps will automatically
go off approximately 20 minutes after
the engine is turned off and the
doors closed. If a door is opened, the
lamp will go off 40 minutes after the
engine is turned off. If the doors are
locked by the smart key and the vehi-
cle enters the armed stage of the
theft alarm system, the lamps will go
off five seconds later.
Do not use the interior lights
when driving in the dark. The
interior lights may obscure your
view and cause an accident.
WARNING
Do not use the interior lights for
extended periods when the
engine is turned off or the bat-
tery will discharge.
