Charging Information

[AC Charge: The electric vehicle is charged by plugging into a AC charger installed at
your home or a public charging station. (For further details, refer to the ‘AC Charge’.)

[DC Charge: You can charge at high speeds at public charging stations. Refer to the
respective charger’s display or manual instructions that is provided for each DC
charger type.
Battery performance and durability can deteriorate if the DC charger is used
constantly.
Use of DC charge should be minimized in order to help prolong high voltage battery
life. It is best to have a mix of AC and DC charging of your battery over time.

[Portable Charge: The Electric vehicle can be charged by using household electricity.
The electrical outlet at your home must comply with regulations and can safely
accommodate the Voltage / Current (Amps) / Power (Watts) ratings specified on the
portable charge.

How to Disconnect Portable Charger

1. Press release button, then remove
charging connector from vehicle inlet.
Information
To prevent charging cable theft,
the charging connector cannot be
disconnected from the inlet when the
doors are locked or the charging connector
is in the ‘Always lock’ mode. Unlock all
doors to disconnect the charging connector
from the inlet.
However, if the vehicle is in the charging
connector’Locking while charging’ mode,
the charging connector automatically
unlocks from the inlet when charging is
completed.
If the charging connector is disconnected
while the release button is not pressed, the
connector and the inlet may be damaged.
For more details, refer to “Charging
Connector ‘Always lock’/‘Locking while
charging’ Mode” in this chapter.
If the release button does not work even
after the all doors are unlocked, pull
emergency cable (located in right side of
cargo area) and press the release button
in the connector to disconnect it from the
vehicle. If the release button still does not
work, consult an authorized retailer of
Genesis Branded products.

NOTICE

[Ambient temperature affects the tire pressure (about 1 psi (7 kPa) for every
12 °F (7 °C) change). If colder temperatures are anticipated, it is permissible to
increase cold tire inflation pressure by up to 3 psi (20 kPa) over the specification.
If extreme temperature changes are expected, be sure to check and adjust tire
pressure accordingly.

[Tire inflation pressure decreases with higher elevation, and increases with lower
elevation (about 2.4 psi (10 kPa) for every mile (or kilometer) elevation change).
Be sure to check and adjust tire pressure accordingly when driving through
changing elevations.

[Do not exceed the maximum inflation pressure, as found on the sidewall of the
tire(s).
CAUTION
When replacing tires, ALWAYS use the same size, type, brand, construction and
tread pattern supplied with the vehicle. If not, it can damage the related parts or
make it work irregularly.
