Remote Transmitter Care
Replacing the Remote Battery
If the indicator does not come on when the button is pressed, replace the battery.1.Remove the built-in key.
2. Remove the upper half of the cover by
carefully prying on the slot with key grip.
u Wrap a key grip with a cloth to prevent
scratching the keyless remote.
u Remove carefully to avoid losing the
buttons.
3. Remove the battery by prying on the edge
with flat-tip screwdri ver. Make sure to
replace the battery with the correct polarity.
u Wrap a flat-tip screwdriver with a cloth
to prevent scratching the keyless remote.1Replacing the Remote Battery
NOTICE
An improperly disposed of battery can damage the
environment. Always conf irm local regulations for
battery disposal.
Replacement batteries are commercially available or
at a dealer.
3WARNING
CHEMICAL BURN HAZARD
The battery that powers the remote
transmitter can cause severe internal burns
and can even lead to death if swallowed.
Keep new and used batteries away from
children.
If you suspect that a child has swallowed
the battery, seek medical attention
immediately.

Power System Won’t Start
Checking the Procedure
If the power system won't start, check the following items and take appropriate action.
If you cannot turn on the power system after checking all the it ems in the list above, have your vehicle checked by a dealer.
If you must start the vehicle immediately, use an as sisting vehicle or booster battery to jump start it.

Depending on the situation, you may be able to temporarily turn the power system on using the emergency starting procedure.

If the Keyless Remote Battery is Weak
If the beeper sounds, the To start, touch start butto n with emblem side of
remote message appears on the driver information interface, the POWER button
flashes, and the READY indicator does not come on, tu rn on the power system as
follows: 1.Press the POWER button.
u The beeper sounds and the POWER
button flashes for about 30 seconds.
2. Touch the center of the POWER button
with the H logo on the keyless remote while
the POWER button is flashing. The buttons
on the keyless remote should be facing you.
u The beeper sounds, and the POWER
button stays on for about 10 seconds.
3. Depress the brake pedal and press the
POWER button while the POWER button is
on.
u The READY indicator comes on.
u If you don’t depress the pedal, the mode
will change to ACCESSORY.

Shift Lever Does Not Move
Follow the procedure below if you cannot move the shift lever out of the (P
position.
1.Set the parking brake.
2. Set the power mode to VEHICLE OFF.
3. Remove the built-in key from the keyless
remote.
4. Wrap a cloth around the tip of the built-in
key. Put it into the shift lock release slot as
shown in the image, and remove the cover.
5. Insert the built-in key into the shift lock
release slot.
6. While pushing the built-in key in, press the
shift lever release button, and place the
shift lever into
(N.
u The lock is now released. Have the shift
lever checked by a de aler as soon as
possible.
