DRIVER DOOR WITH IGN OFF
The driver’s door unlocks when you
turn the ignition switch to the LOCK
(0) position.
ALL DOORS WITH IGN OFF All
the doors unlock when you turn the
ignition switch to the LOCK (0)
position.
You can choose this item to
customize f rom ‘‘DOOR SETUP’’ by
pressing the INFO ( / ) button
repeatedly.Press the SEL/RESET button to
enter the selecting mode.
Select the desired setting by
pressing the INFO ( / ) button.
For example, you choose ‘‘DRIVER
DOOR with SHIFT to P,’’ you will
seetheabovedisplay.

doors unlock when you unlock the
doors with the remote transmitter or
the key, follow these instructions.
If you choose ‘‘ALL DOORS With
IGN OFF,’’ you will see the above
display.

customize the exterior lights not to
f lash and the beeper not to sound.

Rotate the switch
counterclockwise also to spray the
window washer and turn the wiperon.
Hold past ON to activate the rear
window wiper a f ew times and to
spray the rear window washer.
Rotate the switch clockwise to
turn the rear window wiper ON.
The wiper operates every 7
seconds af ter completing two
sweeps.
When you turn the wiper switch to
the ‘‘OFF’’ position, the wiper will
return to its parked position.
OFF Therearwindowwasherusesthe
same f luid reservoir as the wind-
shield washer.
When you shif t the transmission to
the reverse position with the f ront
windshield wiper activated, the rear
wiper operates automatically even if
the rear wiper switch is of f .

µThe automatic lighting f eature is
controlledbyasensorlocatedontop
of the dashboard. Do not cover this
sensor or spill liquids on it.
The automatic lighting
f eature turns on the headlights, all
other exterior lights, and the
instrument panel lights when it
senses low ambient light.
To turn on the automatic lighting,
turn the light switch to the AUTO
position. The lights will come on
automatically when the outside light
level becomes low (at dusk, f or
example). The lights on indicator
comesonasareminder.Thelights
and indicator turn off automatically
when the system senses high
ambient light.
The lights turn of f automatically
when you turn the ignition switch to
the LOCK (0) position. To turn them
on again, either turn the ignition
switch to the ON (II) position, or
turn the light switch to the position. Even with the automatic lighting
f eature turned on, we recommend
thatyouturnonthelightsmanually
when driving at night or in a dense
f og, or when you enter dark areas
such as long tunnels or parking
f acilities.

The def ogger will shut itself of f
within about 10 to 30 minutes
according to the outside temperature
(over 32°F, 0°C).
Make sure all rear windows are clear
and you have good visibility bef ore
starting to drive.Pushing this button also turns the
mirror heaters on or of f . For more
inf ormation, see page .
The def ogger and antenna wires on
the inside of all rear windows can be
accidentally damaged. When
cleaning the glass, always wipe side-
to-side.
The rear window def ogger will clear
fog, frost, and thin ice from the
windows. Push the def ogger button
to turn it on and off. The indicator in
the button comes on to show the
def ogger is on. It also shuts of f when
you turn of f the ignition switch. You
have to turn the defogger on again
when you restart the vehicle. 148U.S. EX models and all Canadian models
