There are two cargo hooks f or
plastic grocery bags at the back of
the In-Bed Trunk. They are designed
to hold light items. Heavy objects
may damage the hooks.
To protect items in the In-Bed Trunk,
you can disable its release button by
turning off the main switch in the
glove box and locking the glove box
with the master key.
Even if the main switch is in the OFF
position, you can open the In-Bed
Trunk with the master key.
When you are f inished washing the
In-Bed Trunk, dry it with a sof t cloth,
and reinstall the drain plug.
Youcanwashtheinsideof the
In-Bed Trunk with a water and mild
detergent solution, and a sof t brush
or cloth.
To drain water from the In-Bed
Trunk, remove the drain plug by

To open:Insert the key in the driver’s door
lock.
Turn the key clockwise, then
release it.
You can open all of the side windows
from the outside with the remote
transmitter.
Press the UNLOCK button once
to unlock the driver’s door.
Press the UNLOCK button a
second time, and hold it. The
passenger’s doors unlock, and all
f our side windows start to open.
To stop the windows, release the
button. You can open and close the side
windows with the key in the driver’s
door lock.
The back window is not designed to
carry long items through it. Do not
use the opened back window as a
cargo area pass-through.
If you remove the ignition key and
open the driver’s door without
closing the back window, you hear
f ive beeps and see the indicator blink.
If you do not close the back window
bef ore the beeper stops, the
indicator stops blinking but remains
on. It will go of f af ter about 3
minutes (see page ).
To open the windows further,
press the button again, within
about 3 seconds.
You cannot close the windows with
the remote transmitter.

10 seconds).The moonroof has two positions: it
can be tilted up in the back f or
ventilation, or it can slide back into
the roof. Use the switch near the left
dashboard vent to operate the
moonroof . The ignition switch must
be in the ON (II) position.

the desired position, repeat steps 2
and 3.
To close the windows further, turn

Turn the dial clockwise to increase
the fan speed and airflow. Turn the
dial counterclockwise to decrease it.Turning this dial clockwise increases
the temperature of the airflow.
On RTS, RTL, and Canadian EXL

control and semi-automatic operation.
Select the f an speed by pressing the
fan control buttons ( or ).
The f an speed is shown in vertical
bars on the display.
When the indicator in the DUAL
button is of f , both sides adjust to the
driver’s side temperature.
Push the DUAL button. When the
indicator in the button is on, turn the
dials to adjust the temperature.
The driver and passenger can select
independent temperature settings.
You can set the temperatures for the
driver’s side and the passenger’s side
separately when this button is
pressed (indicator on). When the
indicator in the DUAL button is of f ,
you can adjust both sides to the
same temperature with the driver’s
side temperature control dial.
Press the DUAL button to select
dual temperature control mode (see
page ).

Press and hold the H (Preset 1) side
of the bar until the hour advances to
the desired time. Press and hold the
M (Preset 2) side of the bar until the
minutes advance to the desired time.
To set the time, press the CLOCK
button until you hear a beep. The
displayed time begins to blink.
If your vehicle’s battery is
disconnected or goes dead, you may
need to set the clock. You can quickly set the time to thenearest hour. If the displayed time is
bef ore the half hour, pressing the
clock set button until you hear a
beep, then pressing the R (Preset 3)
side of the bar sets the clock back to
the previous hour.
If the displayed time is after the half
hour, the clock sets f orward to the
beginning of the next hour.
Press the clock set button again to
enter the set time.For example:
The navigation system receives
signals f rom the global positioning
system (GPS), and the displayed
time is updated automatically by the
GPS. Ref er to the navigation system
manual f or how to adjust the time.1:06 will reset to 1:00
1:52 will reset to 2:00

Make sure the engine and radiator
are cool.
When the radiator and engine are
cool, relieve any pressure in the
cooling system by turning the
radiator cap counterclockwise,
without pressing down.
Remove the radiator cap by
pushing down and turning
counterclockwise.The coolant level should be up to
the base of the f iller neck. Add
coolant if it is low.
Pourthecoolantslowlyand
caref ully so you do not spill any.
Clean up any spill immediately; it
could damage components in the
engine compartment.
Put the radiator cap back on, and
tighten it fully.
Pour coolant into the reserve tank.
Fill it to half way between the MAX
and MIN marks. Put the cap back
on the reserve tank.
Do not add any rust inhibitors or
other additives to your vehicle’s
cooling system. They may not be
compatible with the coolant or
engine components. Check the f luid level in the
windshield washer reservoir at least
monthly during normal use.
The washer level indicator will come
on when the level is low (see page
).
Fill the reservoir with a good-quality
windshield washer f luid. This
increases the cleaning capability and
prevents f reezing in cold weather.
When you ref ill the reservoir, clean
the edges of the windshield wiper
blades with windshield washer f luid
on a clean cloth. This will help to
condition them.

To change the passenger’s side
bulb, start the engine, turn the
steering wheel all the way to the
lef t, and turn of f the engine. To
change the driver’s side bulb, turn
the steering wheel to the right.
Use a f lat-tipped screwdriver to
remove the two holding clips f rom
the inner f ender, and pull the inner
f ender cover back.Remove the socket from the
headlight assembly by turning it
one-quarter turn counterclockwise.
Pull the bulb straight out of its
socket. Push the new bulb straight
into the socket until it bottoms.Turn on the lights to make sure
the new bulb is working.
Put the inner f ender cover in place.
Install and lock each holding clip
bypushingonthecenter.
Insert the socket back into the
headlight assembly. Turn it
clockwise to lock it in place.

Drop open the tailgate.
Remove the two bolts, and remove
the rear light assembly f rom the
rear pillar.
Determine which of the three
bulbs is burned out: brake/
taillight, turn signal/hazard light,
or back-up light.Remove the socket by turning it
one-quarter turn counterclockwise.
Remove the burned-out bulb by
pulling it straight out of the socket.Install the new bulb into the
socket.
Push the socket into the light
assembly, and turn it clockwise
until it locks.
Turn on the lights to make sure
the new bulb is working.
Install the rear light assembly in
the rear pillar. Tighten the two
bolts securely.

Remove the license plate light
assembly by pulling it towards you,
and then pulling the f ront edge
upward.
Remove the socket f rom the light
assembly by turning it one-quarter
turn counterclockwise.Pull the bulb straight out of its
socket. Push the new bulb straight
into the socket until it bottoms.
Push the socket into the light
assembly, and turn it clockwise
until it locks.Turn on the lights to make sure
the new bulb is working.
Reinstall the light assembly in the
bumper.
