The trip computer is a microcomputer- controlled driver information gauge that displays information related to driving such as outside temperature, tripmeter,average fuel consumption and distance to empty on the LCD.

3. Average Fuel Consumption

o This mode calculates the average fuel consumption from the total fuel used and the distance since the lastaverage consumption reset.
o The total fuel used is calculated from
the fuel consumption input.
o Average fuel consumption is reset to zero (--) if the battery is discon-nected.
o To reset the average fuel consump- tion to zero (--), press the TRIPswitch for more than 1 second.
o When you drive 0.5 km (0.5 mile) and less after resetting, the average fuelconsumption will be displayed to '--'.

2. Tripmeter (km or miles)
o This mode indicates the total dis-tance travelled since the last tripmeter reset. Total distance is also reset tozero if the battery is disconnected.
o Pressing the TRIP switch for more
than 1 second when the tripmeter isbeing displayed clears the tripmeter to zero.

B400A01A-AAT There are three control buttons for the digital clock. Their functions are: HOUR - Push "H" to advance the hour
indicated. MIN - Push "M" to advance the minute
indicated.RESET - Push "R" to reset minutes to
":00" to facilitate resetting the clock to the correct time. When this is done: Pressing "R" between 10 : 30 and 11 : 29 changes the readout to 11 : 00. Pressing "R" between 11 : 30 and 12 :29 changes the readout to 12 : 00.CIGARETTE LIGHTER

For the cigarette lighter to work, the key must be in the "ACC" position or the "ON" position. To use the cigarette lighter, push it allthe way into its socket. When the ele- ment has heated, the lighter will pop out to the "ready" position.Do not hold the cigarette lighter pressed in. B460E02TG-GAT Resetting the sunroof Whenever the vehicle battery is discon- nected or discharged, you have to resetyour sunroof system as follows:
1. Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position.
2. Press the TILT UP button for more
than 1 second to tilt up the sunroof completely when the sunroof is fully closed. Then, release the button.
3. Press and hold the TILT UP button once again until the sunroof hasreturned to the original position of TILT UP after it is raised a littlehigher than the maximum TILT UP position. Then, release the button.
4. Press and hold the TILT UP button within 5 seconds until the sunroof isoperated as follows; TILT DOWN SLIDE OPEN
SLIDE CLOSEThen, release the button.
! CAUTION:
If the sunroof is not reset, it may not operate properly.
INTERIOR LIGHT

This light pro-duces a spot beam for convenient use as a map light at night or as a personal light for the driver and the passenger.

Automatic Operation
The FATC (Full Automatic Tempera-
ture Control) system automatically con-
trols heating and cooling by doing as follows:
1
.P ush the "AUTO" switch. The indi-
cator light will illuminate confirming
that the Face, Floor and/or Bi-Level modes as well as the blower speedand air conditioner will be controlledautomatically. 2
.T urn the "TEMP" knob to set the
desired temperature.
The temperature will increase to the
maximum 32°C(90°F) by turning the
knob clockwise.The temperature will decrease to the minimum 17°C(62°F) by turning the
knob counterclockwise.
NOTE:
If the battery has been discharged or
disconnected, the temperature mode will reset to Centigrade degrees.
This is a normal condition and you
can change the temperature mode
from Centigrade to Fahrenheit as
follows; Press the "OFF" and "AUTO " switch
simultaneously for 3 seconds.The display shows that the unit of
temperature is adjusted to Centigrade
or Fahrenheit (°C

5. Best Station Memory (BSM)Button
When the BSM button is pressed, the six channels from the highest field in-tensity are selected next and stored in memory. The stations selected are stored in the sequence of frequencyfrom the first preset key.
6. PRESET STATION Select Buttons
Six stations for AM(MW, LW), FM1 and FM2 respectively can be preset in the electronic memory circuit. HOW TO PRESET STATIONS Six AM(MW, LW) and twelve FM sta- tions may be programmed into thememory of the radio. Then, by simply pressing the AM(MW, LW) / FM select button and/or one of the six stationselect buttons, you may recall any of these stations instantly. To program the stations, follow these steps: o Press AM(MW, LW)/FM selector to
set the band for AM(MW, LW), FM1and FM2.
o Select the desired station to be stored
by seek or manual tuning.
o Determine the preset station select button you wish to use to access thatstation.
o Press the station select button for more than two seconds. A selectbutton indicator will show in the dis-play indicating which select button you have depressed. The frequency display will flash after it has beenstored into the memory. You should then release the button, and proceed to program the next desired station.A total of 24 stations can be pro- grammed by selecting one AM(MW, LW) and two FM station per button.
o When completed, any preset station may be recalled by selecting AM(MW,LW), FM1 or FM2 band and theappropriate station button.
! CAUTION:
o Do not place beverages close to the audio system. The audio sys- tem mechanism may be damaged if you spill them.
o Do not strike or allow anything to impact the audio system, damageto the system mechanisms could occur.

o The radio unit may be operated when
the ignition key is in the "ACC" or "ON" position. Press the button to switch the power on. The LCD shows the radio frequency in the radio mode,CD/MP3 track in the CD/MP3 mode. To switch the power off, press the button again.
o Push the FM, AM or CD/MP3 to turn on that function without pushingpower ON-OFF control knob.
VOLUME Control Rotate the knob clockwise to increase the volume and turn the knob counter- clockwise to reduce the volume. 2. BAND Select Button Pressing the FM, AM button changes the AM, FM1 and FM2 bands. The mode selected is shown on the display. 3. Best Station Memory (BSM)

EQ Button Press the EQ button to select the CLAS- SIC, POPS, ROCK, JAZZ and OFFMODE for the desired tone quality. Each press of the button changes the display as follows;
5. AUTO SEEK Select Button (Automatic Channel Selection)
Press the AUTO SEEK select button. When the side is pressed, the unitwill automatically tune to the next higher frequency and when the side is pressed, it will automatically tune to thenext lower frequency. 6. TUNE (Manual) Select Knob Rotate the knob clockwise to increase the frequency and turn the knob coun-terclockwise to reduce the frequency. AUDIO Select Button Pressing the AUDIO button changes the BASS, TREBLE, FADER and BAL- ANCE mode.The mode selected is shown on the display. After selecting the each mode, rotatethe Volume control knob clockwise or counterclockwise. o BASS Control To increase the BASS, rotate the knob clockwise, while to decrease the bass, rotate the knob counterclockwise. o TREBLE Control Turn to the left or right for the desired treble tone.
