Features of your vehicle
MAX A/C-Level (B,D)
The MAX A/C mode is used to cool
the inside of the vehicle faster.
Air flow is directed toward the upper
body and face with a small amount of
the air being directed to the floor.
In this mode, the air conditioning and
the recirculated air position will be
selected automatically.Instrument panel vents
The outlet vents can be opened or
closed separately using the horizon-
tal thumbwheel. To close the vent,
rotate it to the fully down position. To
open the vent, rotate it up to the
desired position.
Also, you can adjust the direction of
air delivery from these vents using
the vent control lever as shown.Temperature control
The temperature control knob allows
you to control the temperature of the
air flowing from the ventilation sys-
tem. To change the air temperature in
the passenger compartment, turn
the knob to the right for warm air or
left for cooler air.

Never place anything over the sen-
sor located on the instrument panel
to ensure better control of the heat-
ing and cooling system.
Manual heating and air condi-
tioning
The heating and cooling system can
be controlled manually by pushing
buttons other than the AUTO button.
In this case, the system works
sequentially according to the order of
buttons selected.
When pressing any button except the
AUTO button while using automatic
operation, the functions not selected
will be controlled automatically.
1. Start the engine.
2. Set the mode to the desired position.
For improving the effectiveness of
heating and cooling;
- Heating:
- Cooling:
3. Set the temperature control to the desired position.
4. Set the air intake control to the outside (fresh) air position.
5. Set the fan speed control to the desired speed.
6. If air conditioning is desired, turn the air conditioning system on.
Press the AUTO button in order to
convert to full automatic control of
the system.
Mode selection
The mode selection button controls
the direction of the air flow through
the ventilation system.
The air flow outlet port is converted
as follows:

Instrument panel vents
The outlet vents can be opened or

Temperature control
The temperature control knob allows

To change the air temperature in the
passenger compartment, turn the
knob to the right position for warm and
hot air or left position for cooler air.Temperature unit conversion
You can switch the temperature
mode between Centigrade to
Fahrenheit as follows;
While pressing the OFF button,
press the AUTO button for 4 seconds
or more.
The display will change from
Centigrade to Fahrenheit, or from
Fahrenheit to Centigrade.
If the battery has been discharged or
disconnected, the temperature mode
display will reset to Centigrade.

Instrument panel fuse replace-
ment
1. Turn the ignition switch and all
other switches off.
2. Open the fuse panel cover.
3. Pull the suspected fuse straight out. Use the removal tool provided
in the main fuse box in the engine
compartment.
4. Check the removed fuse; replace it if it is blown.
5. Push in a new fuse of the same rating, and make sure it fits tightly
in the clips.
If it fits loosely, consult an authorized
HYUNDAI dealer.
If you do not have a spare, use a fuse of the same rating from a circuityou may not need for operating thevehicle, such as the cigarette lighterfuse.
If the headlights or other electrical
components do not work and the
fuses are OK, check the fuse panel
in the engine compartment. If a fuse
is blown, it must be replaced.

CAUTION
When replacing a blown fuse or relay with a new one, makesure the new fuse or relay fitstightly into the clips. Theincomplete fastening fuse orrelay may cause the vehiclewiring and electric systemsdamage and a possible fire.
Do not remove fuses, relays and terminals fastened withbolts or nuts. The fuses, relaysand terminals may be fas-tened incompletely, and it maycause a possible fire. If fuses,relays and terminals fastenedwith bolts or nuts are blown,consult with an authorizedHYUNDAI dealer.
Do not input any other objects except fuses or relays intofuse/relay terminals such as adriver or wiring. It may causecontact failure and systemmalfunction.
