Up to 1,000 contacts saved in yourBluetooth®Wireless Technology phone
can be downloaded into the car con-
tacts. Contacts that have been down-
loaded to the car cannot be edited or
deleted on the phone.
Mobile phone contacts are managed separately for each paired
Bluetooth®
Wireless Technology device (max 5
devices x 1,000 contacts each).
Previously downloaded data is main-
tained even if the
Bluetooth®Wireless
Technology de vice has been discon-
nected. (However, the contacts and call
history saved to the phone will be
deleted if a paired phone is deleted.)
It is possible to download contacts dur- ing Bluetooth
®streaming audio.
When downloading contacts, the icon will be displayed within the status bar. It is not possible to begin downloading
a contact list when the contact down-
load feature has been turned off within
the
Bluetooth® Wireless Technology
device. In addition, some devices may
require device authorization upon
attempting to download contacts. If
downloading does not normally occur,
check the
Bluetooth®Wireless
Technology device settings or for notifi-
cations on the screen.
The contacts download feature may not be supported in some mobile
phones. For more information of sup-
ported Bluetooth
®devices and func-
tion support, refer to your phone’s user
manual.
Voice Recognition Mode
(if equipped)
Using Voice Recognition
Short press the button on the steer-
ing wheel controls. Say a command
If prompt feedback is in [On], then the

If prompt feedback is in [On] mode, then the system will only say "(BEEP)"
To change Prompt Feedback [On]/[Off], go to [SETUP/CLOCK]

make the settings and press the TUNE

Time Format
This function is used to set the 12/24
hour time format of the audio system.

Clock Display when Power is OFF

Clock Setting Distraction
Adjusting the clock setting while
driving can result in a loss of vehi-
cle control that may lead to an acci-
dent, severe personal injury, and
death.

will be restored.
After pairing is complete, a contacts download request is sent once to the
mobile phone. Some mobile phones
may require confirmation upon receiv-
ing a download request, ensure your
mobile phone accepts the connection.
Refer to your phones user’s manual for
additional information regarding phone
pairing and connections.

Prompt Feedback (if equipped)
This feature is used to change voice
command feedback between Normal and
Expert modes.
Select [Prompt Feedback] Set through
TUNEknob
On : This mode is for beginner users and provides detailed instructions dur-
ing voice command operation.
Off : This mode is for expert users and omits some information during voice
command operation. (When using
Expert mode, guidance instructions
can be heard through the [Help] or
[Menu] commands.

What to do in an emergency
If your temperature gauge indicates over-
heating, you experience a loss of power,
or hear loud pinging or knocking, the
engine may be overheating. If this hap-
pens, you should:
1. Pull off the road and stop as soon asit is safe to do so.
2. Place the shift lever in P (Park) and set the parking brake. If the air condi-
tioning is ON, turn it OFF.
3. If engine coolant is running out under the vehicle or steam is coming out
from the hood, stop the engine. Do not
open the hood until the coolant has
stopped running or the steaming has
stopped. If there is no visible loss of
engine coolant and no steam, leave
the engine running and check to be
sure the engine cooling fan is operat-
ing. If the fan is not running, turn the
engine off. 4. Check for coolant leaking from the
radiator, hoses or under the vehicle. (If
the air conditioning had been in use, it
is normal for cold water to be draining
from it when you stop.)
5. If engine coolant is leaking out, stop the engine immediately and call the
nearest authorized HYUNDAI dealer
for assistance. 6. If you cannot find the cause of the
overheating, wait until the engine tem-
perature has returned to normal.
Then, if coolant has been lost, careful-
ly add coolant to the reservoir to bring
the fluid level in the reservoir up to the
halfway mark.
7. Proceed with caution, keeping alert for further signs of overheating. If over-
heating happens again, call an author-
ized HYUNDAI dealer for assistance.

While the engine is run-
ning, keep hands, cloth-
ing and tools away from
the moving parts such
as the cooling fan and
drive belt to prevent
serious injury.
WARNING
Your vehicle is
equipped with a pres-
surized coolant reserve
tank. NEVER remove
the coolant reserve tank
cap or the radiator drain plug while
the engine and radiator are HOT.
Hot coolant and steam may blow
out under pressure, causing seri-
ous injury.
Turn the engine off and wait until
the engine cools down. Use
extreme care when removing the
coolant reserve tank cap. Wrap a
towel or thick rag around it, and
turn it counterclockwise slowly to
release some of the pressure from
the system. Step back while the
pressure is released.

When you are sure all the pressure
has been released, continue turn-
ing the cap counterclockwise to
remove it.
WARNING
Serious loss of coolant indicates a
leak in the cooling system and
should be checked as soon as pos-
sible by an authorized HYUNDAI
dealer.

nut wrench are stored in the luggage
compartment under the luggage box
cover.
The jack is provided for emergency
tire changing only. Turn the winged hold down bolt
counterclockwise to remove the
spare tire.
Store the spare tire in the same com-
partment by turning the winged hold
down bolt clockwise.
To prevent the spare tire and tools
from "rattling", store them in their
proper location.

tire to reduce the risk of serious
