Your vehicle may be equipped with a
Gentex Automatic-Dimming Mirror with a
Z-Nav™ Electronic Compass Display
and an Integrated HomeLink
®Wireless
Control System. During nighttime driving,
this feature will automatically detect and
reduce rearview mirror glare while the
compass indicates the direction the vehi-
cle is pointed. The HomeLink
®Universal
Transceiver allows you to activate your
garage door(s), electric gate, home light-

Automatic-Dimming Night Vision
Safety™ (NVS®) Mirror
(if equipped)
The NVS®Mirror automatically reduces
glare by monitoring light levels in the
front and the rear of the vehicle. Any
object that obstructs either light sensor
will degrade the automatic dimming con-
trol feature.
For more information regarding NVS
®
mirrors and other applications, please
refer to the Gentex website:
www.gentex.com Your mirror will automatically dim upon
detecting glare from the vehicles travel-
ing behind you. The auto-dimming func-
tion can be controlled by pressing the
Dimming ON/OFF button:
1. Pressing and holding the button for
3 seconds turns the auto-dimming
function OFF which is indicated by the
green Status Indicator LED turning off.
2. Pressing and holding the button for 3 seconds again turns the auto-dim-
ming function ON which is indicated by
the green Status Indicator LED turning
on.
The mirror defaults to the ON position
each time the vehicle is started.
Z-Nav™ Compass Display
The NVS™ Mirror in your vehicle is also
equipped with a Z-Nav™ Compass that
shows the vehicle Compass heading in
the Display Window using the 8 basic
cardinal headings (N, NE, E, SE, etc.).
Compass function
The Compass can be turned ON and
OFF and will remember the last state
when the ignition is cycled. To turn the
display feature ON/OFF:
1. Press and release the button within 1 second to turn the display feature
OFF.
2. Press and release the button again within 1 second to turn the display
back ON.
Additional options can be set with press
and hold sequences of the button and
are detailed below.
There is a difference between magnetic
north and true north. To compensate for
this difference you will need to adjust the
Zone setting based on where you live.

Resetting the sunroof
Sunroof needs to be reset if the following
occurs :
- Battery is discharged or disconnectedor the related fuse has been replaced
or disconnected
- The one-touch sliding function of the sunroof does not normally operate
Reset procedure :
1. Place the ignition switch to the ON position or start the engine. It is rec-
ommended to reset the sunroof while
the engine is running.
2. Push the control lever forward. The sunroof will close completely or tilt
depending on the condition of the sun-
roof.
3. Release the control lever when the sunroof stops moving.
4. Push the control lever forward about 10 seconds.
- When the sunroof is in the closed position :
The glass will tilt and slightly move up and down.
- When the sunroof is in the tilt posi- tion:
The glass will slightly move up and down. Do not release the lever until the opera-
tion is completed.
If you release the lever during operation,
start the procedure again from step 2.
5. Within 3 seconds, push and hold the
control lever forward until the sunroof
operates as follows:
Tilt down → Slide Open → Slide
Close.
Do not release the lever until the opera-
tion is completed.
If you release the lever during operation,
start the procedure again from step 2.
6. Release the sunroof control lever after all steps have completed. (The sun-
roof system has been reset.)
Information
• If the sunroof is not reset when the vehi-cle battery is disconnected or dis-
charged, or the sunroof fuse is blown,
the sunroof may not operate normally.
• For more detailed information, we rec- ommend that you contact an authorized
HYUNDAI dealer.

This warning light remains ON
after blinking for approximately 60
seconds, or repeatedly blinks ON
and OFF in 3 second intervals:
When there is a malfunction with the
TPMS.
In this case, have your vehicle inspected
by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
For more information, refer to "Tire
Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)"
in chapter 6.
Automatic EmergencyBraking (AEB) Warninglight (if equipped)
This warning light illuminates :
When the AEB system is turned off.
When the radar sensor or cover is
blocked with dirt or snow. Check the
sensor and cover and clean them by
using a soft cloth.
When there is a malfunction with AEB. In this case, have your vehicle inspect-
ed by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
Headlight WarningLight
This warning light illuminates:
This warning light illuminates if one of the
exterior bulbs (headlamp, taillamp,
foglamp, etc.) is not operating properly.
One of the bulbs may need to be
replaced. If the vehicle is equipped with
LED headlamps, have the vehicle
inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI
dealer.
Information
When replacing the bulb, use the same
wattage bulb.
For more information, refer to "BULB
WATTAGE" in chapter 8.

Safe Stopping
The TPMS cannot alert you to
severe and sudden tire damage
caused by external factors.
If you notice any vehicle instabili-
ty, immediately take your foot off
the accelerator pedal, apply the
brakes gradually with light force,
and slowly move to a safe posi-
tion off the road.

Adaptive Front LightingSystem (AFLS) WarningLight (if equipped)
This warning light blinks:
Once you set the Engine Start/Stop
Button to the ON position.
- It illuminates for approximately 3 sec-onds and then goes off.
When there is a malfunction with the AFLS.
If there is a malfunction with the
AFLS:
1. Drive carefully to the nearest safe location and stop your vehicle.
2. Turn the engine off and restart the engine. If the warning light remains
on, have your vehicle inspected by an
authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
Master Warning Light
This indicator light illuminates
Once you turn the ignition switch or theEngine Start/Stop button to the ON
position.
- It illuminates for approximately 3 sec-onds and then goes off.
When there is a malfunction in opera- tion in any of the following systems:
- Exterior lamp malfunction
- Blind Spot Detection (BSD) malfunc-tion (if equipped)
- Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS) malfunction (if equipped)
- Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
- Service reminder
To identify the details of the warning, look
at the LCD display.
Door Ajar Warning Light (for conventionalcluster)
This warning light illuminates:
When a door is not closed securely.
Trunk Open WarningLight (for conventional cluster)
This warning light illuminates:
When the trunk is not closed securely.

This indicator light illuminates for
2 seconds and goes off:
If the smart key is in the vehicle and the
Engine Start/Stop button is ON, but the
vehicle cannot detect the smart key.
In this case, have your vehicle inspected
by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
This indicator light blinks:
When the battery voltage of the smartkey is low.
- At this time, you can not start theengine. However, you can start the
engine if you press the ignition switch or
the Engine Start/Stop button with the
smart key. (For more information,
refer to "Starting the Engine" in
chapter 5).
When there is a malfunction with the immobilizer system.
In this case, have your vehicle inspect-
ed by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
Turn Signal IndicatorLight
This indicator light blinks:
When you operate the turn signal indica-
tor.
If any of the following occurs, there may
be a malfunction with the turn signal sys-
tem.
- The turn signal indicator light illumi-nates but does not blink
- The turn signal indicator light blinks rapidly
- The turn signal indicator light does not illuminate at all
If either of these conditions occur, have
your vehicle inspected by an authorized
HYUNDAI dealer.
High Beam Indicator Light
This indicator light illuminates:
When the headlights are on and in the
high beam position.
When the turn signal lever is pulled into the Flash-to-Pass position.
Light ON IndicatorLight
This indicator light illuminates:
When the tail lights or headlights are on.

3. The Smart High Beam will turn onwhen vehicle speed is above
25 mph (40km/h).
Smart High Beam is operating, the
Smart High Beam will turn off and the
high beam will be on continuously. The
smart high beam ( ) indicator will
turn off.
when the Smart High Beam is oper-
ating, the Smart High Beam will turn
off.
4. If the light switch is placed to the head- lamp position, the Smart High Beam
will turn off and the low beam will be
on continuously.
The high beam switches to low beam in
the below conditions.
- When the Smart High Beam is off.
- When the light switch is not in the AUTO position.
- When the headlamp is detected from the on-coming vehicle.
- When the tail lamp is detected from the front vehicle.
- When the surrounding is bright enough high beams are not needed.
- When streetlights or other lights are detected.
- When vehicle speed is below 15 mph (24 km/h).
Warning light and message
When the Smart High Beam Assist
System is not working properly, the warn-
ing message will come on for a few sec-
ond. After the message disappears, the
master warning light will illuminate. Take
your vehicle to an authorized HYUNDAI
dealer and have the system checked.
The system may not operate nor-
mally in the below conditions.
When the light from the on-com-
ing or front vehicle is not detect-
ed because of lamp damage, hid-
den from sight, etc.
When the lamp of the on-coming
or front vehicle is covered with
dust, snow or water.
When the light from the on-com-
ing or front vehicle is not detect-
ed because of exhaust fume,
smoke, fog, snow, etc.
When the front window is cov-
ered with foreign matters such as
ice, dust, fog, or is damaged.
When there is a similar shape
lamp with the front vehicle's
lamps.
When it is hard to see because of
fog, heavy rain or snow.
When the headlamp is not
repaired or replaced at an author-
ized dealer.
When headlamp aiming is not
properly adjusted.

1. Open the trunk lid.
2. Remove the service cover by pullingout the service cover. 3. Loosen the assembly retaining nuts.
4. Remove the rear combination light
assembly from the body of the vehicle.

5. Remove the socket from the assemblyby turning the socket counterclock-
wise until the tabs on the socket align
with the slots on the assembly.
6. Remove the bulb from the socket by pressing it in and rotating it counter-
clockwise until the tabs on the bulb
align with the slots in the socket. Pull
the bulb out of the socket.
7. Insert a new bulb by inserting it into the socket and rotating it until it locks
into place.
8. Install the socket in the assembly by aligning the tabs on the socket with
the slots in the assembly. Push the
socket into the assembly and turn the
socket clockwise.
Stop/Tail light (Type B/Type C)
If the LED light does not operate, have
the vehicle checked by an authorized
HYUNDAI dealer.
Side marker (Type A/Type B)
5. Remove the socket from the assemblyby turning the socket counterclock-
wise until the tabs on the socket align
with the slots on the assembly.
6. Remove the bulb by pulling it out.
7. Inset a new bulb by insetring it into the socket.
8. Install the socket in the assembly by aligning the tabs on the socket with
the slots in the assembly. Push the
socket into the assembly and turn the
socket clockwise.
Side marker (Type C)
If the LED light does not operate, have
the vehicle checked by an authorized
HYUNDAI dealer.
Inside lamp
Tail light/Back-up light
1. Open the trunk.
2. Loosen the retaining screw of thetrunk lid cover and then remove the
cover.
