Lock knob
To recline the seatback, lean forward to take your weight off it, then pull upon the recliner control lever at theoutside edge of the seat. Now leanback until the desired seatback angle is achieved. To lock the seatback into position, release the recliner controllever. B080D02A-AAT Adjustable Headrests Headrests are designed to help re- duce the risk of neck injuries.To raise the headrest, pull it up. To lower it, push it down while pressing the lock knob.
WARNING:
To minimize risk of severe injury inthe event of a collision or a sudden stop, both the driver and passen- ger seatbacks should always be inan upright position while the ve-hicle is in motion. The protectionprovided by the seat belts andairbags may be reduced significant- ly when the seatbacks are reclined. There is greater risk that the driverand passenger will slide under theseat belt which may result in seri-ous injury if a crash occurs whenthe seatbacks are reclined. The seat belt cannot provide full protection to an occupant if the seat back isreclined.

o Do not operate the vehicle with the headrests removed as severe injury to an occupant may occurin the event of an accident. Head-rests may provide protectionagainst severe neck injuries whenproperly adjusted.
!WARNING:
o For maximum effectiveness in case of an accident, the headrest should be adjusted so the top of the headrest is at the same heightas the top of the occupant's ears.The use of a cushion that holdsthe body away from the seatbackis not recommended.
To adjust the lumbar support, turn the handle on the outboard or left side ofthe seat. To increase the amount oflumbar support, pull the lever forward.To decrease it, push the lever toward the rear.

Operation (If Installed) To use the intermittent wiper feature, place the wiper switch in the "INT"position. With the switch in this posi- tion, the interval between wipes can be varied from approximately 1 to 18 sec-onds by turning the interval adjusterbarrel.
Mist Wiper Operation
NOTE:
o Do not operate the washer more
than 15 seconds at a time or when the fluid reser- voir isempty.
o In icy or freezing weather, be
sure the wiper blades are not frozen to the glass prior to oper- ating the wipers.
o In areas where water freezes in
winter, use windshield washerantifreeze.
If a single wipe is desired in mist, pushthe windshield wiper and washer con- trol lever upwards. HTB022 HTB020
To use the windshield washer, pull the wiper/washer lever toward the steer-ing wheel. When the washer lever isoperated, the wipers automaticallymake two passes across the wind- shield. The washer continues to oper- ate until the lever is released.

WARNING:
o Driving on worn-out tires is dan- gerous! Worn-out tires can causeloss of braking effectiveness, steering control and traction.
When replacing tires, never mixradial and bias-ply tires on the same car. If you replace radial tires with bias-ply tires, they mustbe installed in sets of four.
o Using tires and wheels of other
than the recommended sizes maycause unusual handling charac- teristics that may cause death, serious injury or property dam-age.

The original tires on your car have tread wear indicators. The tread wearindicators appear when the tread depth is 1.6 mm (0.06 in.). The tire should be replaced when these appear as a solidbar across two or more grooves of the tread. Always replace your tires with those of the recommended size. If youchange wheels, the new wheel's rim width and offset must meet Hyundai specification.

WARNING:
Do not install any child restraint sys- tem in the front passenger seat. Should an accident occur and cause the passenger side airbag to deploy,it could severely injure or kill aninfant or child seated in an infant orchild seat. Therefore, only use a childrestraint system in the rear seat of your vehicle.
If you need to tighten the belt, pull more webbing toward the retractor. When youunbuckle the seat belt and allow it toretract, the retractor will automaticallyrevert back to its normal seated pas- senger emergency locking usage con- dition. NOTE:
o Before installing the child restraint
system, read the instructions sup- plied by the child restraint systemmanufacturer.
o If the seat belt does not operate as
described, have the systemchecked immediately by your au-thorized Hyundai dealer.!

B230B02A-GAT Using a Child Restraint System with "Tether Anchorage" Sys- tem For small children and babies, the use of a child seat or infant seat is strongly recommended. This child seat or infant seat should be of appropriate size forthe child and should be installed inaccordance with the manufacturer's in-structions. It is further recommendedthat the seat be placed in the vehicle's rear seat since this can make an impor- tant contribution to safety. 1. Route the child restraint seat strap
over the seatback. For vehicles with adjustable head- rests, route the tether strap underthe headrest and between the head-rest posts, otherwise route the tetherstrap over the top of the seatback.

B340C01FC-EAT LIGHTING SWITCH
The vehicle sidelights and headlights are operated by rotating the end of theturn signal switch barrel. To operate the parking lights, rotating the switch to the first detent with ignition switch at the"OFF" position will cause the lights toilluminate. To operate the headlights,the turn signal switch barrel should berotated to the second detent. The head- lights will only operate when the ignition switch is at the "On" position. If theignition switch is turned to the "Off"position, only the parking lights willfunction. Parking light auto cut (Not all models) If you do not turn the parking lights "OFF" after driving, the parking light willautomatically shut "OFF" when thedriver's door is opened.To turn them "ON" again you must simply turn the ignition key to the "ON" position. SB220D1-E HIGH AND LOW BEAM To turn on the headlight high beams, push the lever forward (away from you). For low beams, pull the lever back (toward you). The appropriate headlightbeam indicator light will come on at thesame time.
SB220E1-E HEADLIGHT FLASH The headlights may be flashed by pull- ing the turn signal switch lever towardsthe steering wheel. The headlights will be extinguished when the switch is released.
