CAUTION:
When installing a container of liquid air freshener inside a vehicle, do not place it near the instrument cluster nor on the instrument panel pad surface. If there is any leakage from the air freshener onto these areas (instrument cluster, instrument panel pad or air ventilator), it may damage these parts. B040A02Y-EAT DOOR LOCKS B040B01A-AATLocking and Unlocking Front Doors With a Key
o The door can be locked or unlocked
with a key.
o Lock the door by turning the key toward the front of the vehicle and unlock it by turning the key toward the rear. B040C01FC-GAT Locking From the Outside
The doors can be locked without a key. To lock the doors from the outside, first push the inside lock switch to the"LOCK" position, so that the red mark on the switch is not visible, then close the door.The door will not lock if the key is left in the ignition switch when the front doors close. This is normal. (Not all models) NOTE:
o When locking the door this way, be careful not to lock the door with the ignition key left in thevehicle.

!WARNING:
o Unlocked doors can be danger- ous. Before you drive away (espe- cially if there are children in thecar), be sure that all the doors are securely closed and locked so that the doors cannot be inadvert-ently opened from the inside. This helps ensure that doors will not be opened accidentally. Also, whencombined with the proper use of seat belts, locking the doors helps keep occupants from being ejectedfrom the car in case of an accident.
o Before opening the door, always
look for and avoid oncoming traf-fic.
o In case of accident the door is
unlocked automatically (Not allmodels).

SB060A1-E DOOR WINDOWS
The front door windows may be opened or closed by turning the window regula- tor handle. Ensure that when the win-dows are closed, nothing may become trapped between the glass and the door frame. HTB064-D

In order to prevent operation of the passenger front and rear windows, a window lock switch is provided on thearmrest of the driver's door. To disable the power windows, press the window lock switch.To revert to normal operation, press the window lock switch a second time. Auto-Down Window (Driver's Side) The Auto-Down window is moved to its fully open position by pushing the switch. To stop at the desired positionpush the switch again.
B060A01E-EAT POWER WINDOWS (Not all models)
The power windows operate when the ignition key is in the "ON" position. The main switches are located on the driver's armrest and control the front and rearwindows on both sides of the vehicle. The windows may be opened by de- pressing the appropriate window switchand closed by pulling up the switch. To open the window on the driver's side, press the switch(1) down. The windowmoves as long as the switch is oper- ated.
WARNING:
When opening or closing the win- dows, make sure your passenger's arms and hands are safety out of the way.

B080A01FC-EAT SEAT ADJUSTMENT B080B02FC-EAT FRONT SEATS Front Seat Rake Adjustment
The front seat rake adjustment is per- formed by raising the lever at the front of the seat base and sliding the seat tothe desired position. At this position the lever should be released and the seat rocked to and fro to ensure that themechanism has locked.
WARNING:
Front seat adjustments must not beundertaken whilst the vehicle is in motion. Loss of control of the ve- hicle may result if seat adjustmentsare made whilst the vehicle is in motion.
WARNING:
1) Be careful that someone's head, hands and body are not trapped by a closing window.
2) Never try to operate the main switch on the driver's door andthe individual door window switchin opposing directions at the same time. If this is done, the window will stop and cannot be opened orclosed.
3) Do not leave children alone in the
car. Always remove the ignitionkey for their safety.

!WARNING:
To ensure the seat is locked se- curely, attempt to move the seat for- ward or rearward without using thelever.

SB070D2-E Head Restraint Adjustment To raise the head restraint, pull it up. To lower it, push it down while pressing the lock knob. For maximum effectivenessin the event of an accident, the restraint must be adjusted so that the restraint is approximately at the level of the seatoccupant's ears. The restraint must never be so adjusted that it is centred about the level of the seat occupant'sneck.SB070C1-E Front Seat Recline Adjustment

The front seat back recline angle may be adjusted by leaning forward slightly and raising the recline adjustment leverat the side of the seat. When the seatback is at the desired angle, the lever should be released. Ensure thatthe seatback is locked before driving the vehicle.
!WARNING:
To minimize risk of severe injury in the event of a collision or a sudden stop, both the driver and passenger seatbacks should always be in anupright position while the vehicle is in motion. The protection provided by the seat belts and airbags in afrontal collision may be reduced sig- nificantly when the seatbacks are reclined. There is greater risk thatthe driver and passenger will slide under the seat belt which may result in serious injury if a crash occurswhen the seatbacks are reclined. The seat belt cannot provide full protec- tion to an occupant if the seatback isreclined.

SB070F1-F Seat Cushion Height Adjustment (Not all models) (Driver's seatonly) To raise or lower the front part of the seat cushion, turn the front knob for-ward or rearward. To raise or lower the rear part of the seat cushion, turn the rear knob forward orrearward.HTB027-D
SB070E1-E Lumbar Support Adjustment (Not all models) (Driver's seatonly) Some models are fitted with adjustable driver seat lumbar support which may be used to increase the amount oflumbar support offered by the seat back. Adjustment is performed by moving the handle at the side of the backrest in aforward direction to increase the sup- port.
!WARNING:
o For maximum effectiveness in case of an accident, the headrest should be adjusted so the top of the head-rest is at the same height as the top of the occupant's ears. The use of a cushion that holds thebody away from the seatback is not recommended.
o Do not operate the vehicle with the headrests removed as severe in-jury to an occupant may occur in the event of an accident. Head-rests may provide protection against severe neck injuries when properly adjusted.

Lock Knob
SB070D2-E Head Restraint Adjustment To raise the head restraint, pull it up. To lower it, push it down whilst pressing the lock knob. For maximum effective- ness in the event of an accident, therestraint must be adjusted so that the restraint is approximately at the level of the seat occupant's ears. ZB070A1-E REAR SEAT ENTRY (For 3-door model)
The front passenger seatback should be tilted to enter the rear seat. By pulling up on the recliner controllever (1) at the outside of the front passenger seat, the seatback will tilt forward and the seat will automaticallyslide forward.
