Petrol engine
Unleaded
Your new vehicle is designed to use
only unleaded fuel having an Octane
Rating of RON (Research Octane
Number) 91 / AKI (Anti-Knock Index)
87 or higher.
Your new vehicle is designed to
obtain maximum performance with
UNLEADED FUEL, as well as mini-
mize exhaust emissions and spark
plug fouling.
Leaded (if equipped)
For some countries, your vehicle is
designed to use leaded petrol.
When you are going to use leaded
petrol, we recommend that you ask
an authorized HYUNDAI dealer
whether leaded petrol in your vehicle
is available or not.
Octane Rating of leaded petrol is
same with unleaded one.
NOTICE
NEVER USE LEADED FUEL. The
use of leaded fuel is detrimental to
the catalytic converter and will
damage the engine control sys-
tem’s oxygen sensor and affect
emission control.
Never add any fuel system clean-
ing agents to the fuel tank other
than what has been specified (We
recommend that you consult an
authorized HYUNDAI dealer for
details.)
CAUTION
CAUTION indicates a hazardous
situation which, if not avoided,
could result in minor or moderate
injury.
CAUTION
€Do not "top off" after the nozzle
automatically shuts off when
refueling.
€Always check that the fuel cap is
installed securely to prevent fuel
spillage in the event of an acci-
dent.

rough\b more repeated short dis
tance driving or heavy city traffic
during hot weather\b maintenance
of vehicle should be done more
frequently as mentioned in this
Owner’s Manual and Ser vice
Booklet.
o In order to maintain the validity of this Emission Warranty\b the vehi
cle must be serviced by Hyundai
Authorized Dealer or Ser vice
Centre in accordance to the
Owner’s Manual and Ser vice
Booklet.
o Retention of maintenance service records. It may be necessary for
the customer to show that the
required maintenance has been
performed\b as specified in this
Owner’s Manual and Ser vice
Booklet.
o Immediate Delivery of the vehicle to any authorized Hyundai Dealer upon discovery of failure to comply
with the In use emission standard
inspite of proper use\b mainte
nance and care of vehicle in
accordance with the instructions
contained in this Owner’s Manual
and Service Booklet.
o Production of “Pollution Under Control" (PUC) certificate valid for
the period immediately preceding
the test during which the failure is
discovered\b the test having been
carried out either for obtaining a
new certificate\b or pursuant upon
being directed by an officer as
referred to in sub rule (2) of Rule
116 of the Central Motor Vehicles

"Service Interval Off" message is
displayed on the LCD display.

If any of the following conditions
occurs, the mileage and days may be
incorrect.
- The battery cable is disconnected.
- The fuse switch is turned off.
- The battery is discharged.
Warning MessageIf one of followings occurs, warning
messages will be displayed on the
information mode for several seconds.

Explanation
Wiper/Light Display
• Off : The Wiper/Light Display function will be deactivated.
• On : The Wiper/Light Display function will be activated.
Rear Wiper Display
• Off : The Rear Wiper Display function will be deactivated.
• On : The Rear Wiper Display function will be activated.
Gear Position Pop-up
If you select this function, the current shift gear position is displayed in the cluster for about 2
seconds when shifting into other positions (P/R/N/D).
If you do not select this function, the shift gear Pop-up is not displayed in the cluster.

In this mode, you can activate the service interval function with mileage (km or mi.) and period
(months).
• Off : The service interval function will be deactivated.
• On :You can set the service interval (mileage and months).

(if equipped)• The distance to empty is the esti-
mated distance the vehicle can be
driven with the remaining fuel.
- Distance range: 1 ~ 1999 km or 1 ~ 1999 mi.
• If the estimated distance is below 1 km (1 mi.), the trip computer will
display “---” as distance to empty.
And, "Low Fuel" warning message
is displayed.
Information
If the vehicle is not on level ground or the battery power has been inter-
rupted, the distance to empty func-
tion may not operate correctly.
The distance to empty may differ from the actual driving distance as
it is an estimate of the available
driving distance.
The trip computer may not register additional fuel if less than 6 liters
(1.6 gallons) of fuel are added to the
vehicle.
The fuel economy and distance to empty may vary significantly based
on driving conditions, driving
habits, and condition of the vehicle.
Average Fuel Consumption (2) (ifequipped)• The average fuel economy is calcu-
lated by the total driving distance
and fuel consumption since the last
average fuel economy reset.
- Fuel economy range: 0.0 ~ 99.9 L/100km, km/L or MPG
• The average fuel economy can be reset both manually and automati-
cally.Manual resetTo clear the average fuel economy
manually, press the [OK] button (or
RESET button) on the steering wheel
for more than 1 second when the
average fuel economy is displayed.Automatic resetTo make the average fuel economy
be reset automatically whenever refu-
eling, select the “Auto Reset” mode in
User Setting menu of the LCD dis-
play.

age fuel economy will be cleared to
zero (---) when the vehicle speed
exceeds 1 km/h after refueling more
than 6 liters (1.6 gallons).

played for more accurate calculation
if the vehicle does not drive more than
10 seconds or 300 meters (0.19 miles)
since the ignition switch or the Engine
Start/Stop button is turned to ON.Instant Fuel Consumption (3)
(if equipped)• This mode displays the instant fuel
economy during the last few sec-
onds when the vehicle speed is
more than 10 km/h (6.2 MPH).
- Fuel economy range:0 ~ 30 L/100km, km/L
Tripmeter A/B (1)• The tripmeter is the total driving distance since the last tripmeter
reset.
- Distance range: 0.0 ~ 9999.9 km or mi.
• To reset the tripmeter, press the [OK] button (or RESET button) on
the steering wheel for more than 1
second when the tripmeter is dis-
played.
Average Speed (2)• The average vehicle speed is cal-culated by the total driving dis-
tance and driving time since the
last average vehicle speed reset.
- Speed range:0~220 km/h or 0~140 mph
• To reset the average vehicle speed, press the [OK] button (or RESET
button) on the steering wheel for
more than 1 second when the aver-
age vehicle speed is displayed.
Information
The average vehicle speed is not dis-played if the driving distance is less
than 300 meters (0.19 miles) or the
driving time is less than 10 seconds
since the ignition switch or the Engine
Start/Stop button is turned to ON.
Even if the vehicle is not in motion, the average vehicle speed keeps cal-
culating while the engine is running.i

CCluster Type B The trip computer is a microcomput-
er-controlled driver information sys-
tem that displays information related
to driving.
Information
Some driving information stored in the
trip computer (for example Average
Vehicle Speed) resets if the battery is
disconnected.
Trip modes
To change the trip mode, toggle the
“ , ” switch on the steering wheel.
