Lane Keeping Assist
system indicator light
This indicator light illuminates:
[Green] When the system operat-
ing conditions are satisfied for
LKA.
[White] When system operating
conditions are not satisfied.
[Yellow] When there is a malfunc-
tion with the lane keeping assist
system.
If this occurs, have your vehicle
inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI
dealer.
For more details, refer to "Lane
Keeping Assist (LKA)" in chapter
5.
LED Headlamp Warning
Light (if equipped)
This warning light illuminates:
When there is a malfunction with
the LED headlamp.
In this case, have the vehicle inspect-
ed by an an authorized HYUNDAI
dealer.
This warning light blinks:
When there is a malfunction with a
LED headlamp related part.
In this case, have the vehicle
inspected by an an authorized
HYUNDAI dealer.
Continuous driving with the LED
Headlamp Warning Light on or
blinking can reduce LED head-
lamp life.
Adaptive Front Lighting
system warning light (if
equipped)
This warning light blinks:
When the POWER button is in the
ON position.
- It illuminates for approximately 3
seconds and then goes off.
When there is a malfunction with
the AFL system.
If there is a malfunction with the
AFL system:
1. Drive carefully to the nearest safe
location and stop your vehicle.
2. Turn the vehicle off and restart the
vehicle ( indicator ON). If the
warning light remains on, have your
vehicle inspected by an authorized
HYUNDAI dealer.

Icy Road Warning Light
(if equipped)
This warning light is to warn the driver
the road may be icy.
When the reading on the outside
temperature gauge is below 40°F
(4°C), the Icy Road Warning Light
and Outside Temperature Gauge
blinks and then illuminates. Also, the
warning chime sounds 1 time.
You can activate or deactivate Icy
Road Warning function from the User
Settings mode in the cluster LCD dis-
play.
Information
If the icy road warning light comes ON
while driving, it is an indication that
roads may be icy. In this situation, pay
close attention to your driving and
reduce your vehicle speed as a precau-
tion. Avoid sudden changes in accelera-
tion or braking or sudden changes in
steering in order to maintain control of
your vehicle while driving in adverse
weather conditions.
Master Warning Light
This indicator light illuminates:
When there is a malfunction in oper-
ation in any of the following systems:
- Forward Collision-Avoidance
Assist system malfunction
(if equipped)
- Forward Collision-Avoidance
Assist radar blocked (if equipped)
- Blind-Spot Collision Warning
system malfunction (if equipped)
- Blind-Spot Collision Warning radar
blocked (if equipped)
- LED Headlamp malfunction
- High Beam Assist malfunction
(if equipped)
- Smart Cruise Control malfunction
(if equipped)
- Tire Pressure Monitoring System
(TPMS) malfunction (if equipped)
To identify the details of the warning,
look at the LCD display.
Electronic Stability
Control (ESC) Indicator
Light
This indicator light illuminates:
When the POWER button is in the
ON position.
- It illuminates for approximately 3
seconds and then goes off.
When there is a malfunction with
the ESC system.
In this case, have your vehicle
inspected by an authorized
HYUNDAI dealer.
This indicator light blinks:
While the ESC is operating.
For more information, refer to
"Electronic Stability Control (ESC)"
in chapter 5.i

Wiper
This indicator displays which wiper
speed is selected using the wiper
control.
Check headlight (High/Low)
(if equipped)
This warning message is displayed if
the headlamps are not operating
properly. A headlamp bulb may need
to be replaced.
Check turn signal (if equipped)
This warning message is displayed if
the turn signal lamps are not operat-
ing properly. A lamp may need to be
replaced.
Information
Make sure to replace the burned out
bulb with a new one of the same wattage
rating.
Check headlamp LED
(if equipped)
This warning message is displayed if
there is a problem with the LED head-
lamps. We recommend that you have
the vehicle inspected by an authorized
HYUNDAI dealer.
Check brake light (if equipped)
This warning message is displayed if
the brake lights are not operating
properly. A lamp may need to be
replaced.

Tire Pressure
This mode displays information relat-
ed to Tire Pressure.
For more information, refer to
"Tire Pressure Monitoring System
(TPMS)" in chapter 6.
Master warning mode
This warning light informs the driver
the following situations.- Forward Collision-Avoidance
Assist system malfunction
(if equipped)
- Forward Collision-Avoidance
Assist radar blocked (if equipped)
- Blind-Spot Collision Warning
system malfunction (if equipped)
- Blind-Spot Collision Warning radar
blocked (if equipped)
- LED Headlamp malfunction
(if equipped)
- High Beam Assist malfunction
(if equipped)
- Smart Cruise Control malfunction
(if equipped)
- Tire Pressure Monitoring System
(TPMS) malfunction (if equipped)
The Master Warning Light illumi-
nates if one or more of the above
warning situations occur. At this time,
a Master Warning icon ( ) will
appear beside the User Settings icon
( ), on the LCD display.
If the warning situation is solved, the
master warning light will be turned
off and the Master Warning icon will
disappear.

Exterior Lights
Lighting control
To operate the lights, turn the knob at
the end of the control lever to one of
the following positions:
1. DRL (Daytime Running Lights)
OFF position
2. AUTO light position
3. Parking lamp position
4. Headlamp position
Daytime running light (DRL)
(if equipped)
The Daytime Running Lights (DRL)
can make it easier for others to see
the front of your vehicle during the
day, especially after dawn and before
sunset.
The DRL system will turn the dedi-
cated lamp OFF when :
• The light switch is in the DRL OFF
position.
The headlights are ON.
The vehicle is turned off.
AUTO light position (if equipped)
The parking lamp and headlamp will
be turned ON or OFF automatically
depending on the amount of light
outside the vehicle.
Even with the AUTO light feature in
operation, it is recommended to
manually turn ON the lamps when
driving at night or in a fog, driving in
the rain, or when you enter dark
areas, such as tunnels and parking
facilities.

• Do not cover or spill anything on
the sensor (1) located in front of
the instrument panel.
Do not clean the sensor using a
window cleaner, the cleanser may
leave a light film which could
interfere with sensor operation.
If your vehicle has window tint
or other types of metallic coat-
ing on the front windshield, the
AUTO light system may not work
properly.
Parking lamp position ( )
The parking lamp, license plate lamp
and instrument panel lamp are turned
ON.
Headlamp position ( )
The headlamp, parking lamp, license
plate lamp and instrument panel lamp
are turned ON.
Information
The POWER button must be in the
ON position to turn on the headlamp.

High beam operation
To turn on the high beam headlamp,
push the lever away from you. The
lever will return to its original position.
The high beam indicator will light
when the headlamp high beams are
switched on.
To turn off the high beam headlamp,
pull the lever towards you. The low
beams will turn on.To flash the high beam headlamp,
pull the lever towards you, then
release the lever. The high beams
will remain ON as long as you hold
the lever towards you.
High Beam Assist (HBA)
(if equipped)
High Beam Assist is a system that
automatically adjusts the headlamp
range (switches between high beam
and low beam) according to the
brightness of other vehicles and road
conditions.
Do not use high beam when there
are other vehicles approaching
you. Using high beam could
obstruct the other driver’s vision.

System ON/OFF setting and opera-
tion condition
System ON/OFF setting
To activate the High Beam Assist
(HBA) system, select ‘User Settings
→Light →High Beam Assist’ on
the LCD display.
Operating condition
1. Place the headlamp switch in the
AUTO position.
2. Turn on the high beam by pushing
the lever away from you.
High Beam Assist ( ) indicator
will illuminate.
3. High Beam Assist will turn on
when vehicle speed is above 25
mph (40 km/h).

ing vehicle is detected.
- When the tail lamp of a vehicle in
front is detected.
- When the headlamp or tail lamp of
a motorcycle or a bicycle is detect-
ed.
- When the surrounding ambient
light is bright enough that high
beams are not required.
- When streetlights or other lights
are detected.
- When the headlamp switch is not
in the AUTO position.
- When High Beam Assist is off.
- When vehicle speed is below 15
mph (24 km/h).

Warning light and message
When High Beam Assist is not work-
ing properly, the Check High Beam
Assist warning message will come on
for a few second. After the message
disappears, the master warning light
( ) will illuminate. Take your vehicle
to an authorized HYUNDAI dealer and
have the system checked.

The driver must be cautious in
the below situations may not
work properly when recognition
of light from on-coming or front
vehicle is poor or limited:
When the light from on-com-
ing or front vehicle is poor
When the light from the on-
coming or front vehicle is not
detected because of lamp
damage, hidden from sight,
etc.
When the lamp of the on-com-
ing or front vehicle is covered
with dust, snow or water.
When the front vehicle's head-
lamps are off but the fog
lamps on and etc.

When the headlamp is not
repaired or replaced at an
authorized dealer.
When headlamp aiming is not
properly adjusted.
When driving on a narrow
curved road, rough road,
downhill or uphill.
When only part of the vehicle
in front is visible on a cross-
road or curved road.
When there is a traffic light,
reflecting sign, flashing sign
or mirror ahead.
When there is a temporary
reflector or flash ahead (con-
struction area).
When the road conditions are
bad such as being wet, iced or
covered with snow.
