Scheduled climate settings
1. Set target temperature.
Pre-schedule heating
If the target temperature (1) is set
with the cable connected, the cabin
temperature will be adjusted to the
target temperature at departure time
(without loss of high-voltage battery
charging level). In cold weather, pre-schedule heating helps enhance
electric vehicle performance by heat-
ing the vehicle in advance.
Off-peak hours settings
1. If selected, the vehicle will begin
charging only during the designat-
ed off-peak time.
If de-selected, the vehicle willbegin charging on the scheduled
start time.
2. Set the most inexpensive time to complete charging
If selected, starts charging at off-
peak time (may keep on chargingpass off-peak time to charge100%)
If selected, charges only within
off-peak time (may not charge100%)
Charging location
If location-based charging is select-ed, scheduled charging and target
temperature will be activated at the
location the driver has set. Also, thecharging current can be selected
when charged with AC charger. ❈ Scheduled charging function must
be turned on to activate when loca-tion-based charging is selected.

Air intake control
This button is used to select the out- side (fresh) air position or recirculat-ed air position.
Recirculated air position
With the recirculated airposition selected, air from the passenger
compartment will be
drawn through the heat-ing system and heated
or cooled according tothe function selected.
Outside (fresh) air position
With the outside (fresh) air position selected, air
enters the vehicle fromoutside and is heated or
cooled according to thefunction selected.OAEE049312L
Continued use of the climate
control system operation in
the recirculated air position
can cause drowsiness or
sleepiness, that may cause
loss of vehicle control result-
ing in an accident. Set the air
intake control to the outside
(fresh) air position as much as
possible while driving.
Continued use of the climate
control system operation in
the recirculated air position(without the air conditioning
selected) may allow humidity
to increase inside the vehicle
which may fog the glass and
obscure visibility.
Do not sleep in a vehicle with the air conditioning or heating
system on. It may cause seri-
ous injury or death due to a
drop in the oxygen level
and/or body temperature.

Floor & Defrost mode or press
the Front Defrost mode.
Operation Tips
To keep dust or unpleasant fumes from entering the car through the
ventilation system, temporarily set
the air intake control to the recircu-
lated air position. Return the con-trol to the fresh air position when
the irritation has passed. This will
help keep the driver alert and com-
fortable.
To prevent the inside of the wind- shield from fogging, set the air
intake control to the fresh air posi-
tion and fan speed to the desired
position, turn on the air conditioning
system, and adjust the temperature
control to desired temperature.

System Maintenance
Climate control air filter
This filter is installed behind the glove
box. It filters the dust or other pollu-
tants that enter the vehicle through theheating and air conditioning system.
Have the climate control air filter
replaced by an authorized HYUNDAIdealer according to the maintenance
schedule. If the car is being driven in
severe conditions such as dusty or
rough roads, more frequent air condi-tioner filter inspections and changesare required.
If the air flow rate suddenly decreas-
es, the system should be checked at
an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
Checking the amount of air con-ditioner refrigerant and com-
pressor lubricant
When the amount of refrigerant is
low, the performance of the air con-
ditioning is reduced. Overfilling also
reduces the performance of the airconditioning system.
Therefore, if abnormal operation is
found, have the system inspected by
an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
It is important that the correct type and amount of oil and refrig-
erant is used. Otherwise, damageto the compressor and abnormal
system operation may occur. To
prevent damage, the air condition-
ing system in your vehicle should
only be serviced by trained and
certified technicians.

All refrigerants should be
reclaimed with proper equip-ment.
Venting refrigerants directly to the atmosphere is harmful to
individuals and environment.
Failure to heed these warningscan lead to serious injuries.

For maximum defrosting, set the
temperature control to the extreme
right/hot position and the fan speedcontrol to the highest speed.
If warm air to the floor is desired while defrosting or defogging, set themode to the floor-defrost position.
Before driving, clear all snow and ice from the windshield, rear win-
dow, side view mirrors, and all side
windows.
Clear all snow and ice from the hood and air inlet in the cowl grill to
improve heater and defroster effi-ciency and to reduce the probability
of fogging up the inside of the wind-shield.To Defog Inside Windshield
1. Select desired fan speed.
2. Select desired temperature.
3. Press the defroster button ( ).
4. The outside (fresh) air position will be selected automatically.
If the outside (fresh) air position is
not selected automatically, adjust the
corresponding button manually.
If the position is selected, lower
fan speed is adjusted to a higher fanspeed.

Windshield heating
Do not use the or posi- tion during cooling operation in
extremely humid weather. The
difference between the temper-ature of the outside air and thatof the windshield could causethe outer surface of the wind-
shield to fog up, causing loss ofvisibility could cause an acci-dent resulting in serious injur or
death. In this case, set the mode
selection button to the posi-
tion and fan speed control knob
or button to a lower speed.
