B970C01NF-EAT Automatic Operation The FATC (Full Automatic Tempera- ture Control) system automatically con- trols the heating and cooling by doing as follows:
1. Push the "AUTO" switch. The indi-
cator light will illuminate confirming that the Face, Floor and/or Bi-Level modes as well as the blower speed and air conditioner will be controlledautomatically. 2. Turn the "TEMP" knob to set the
desired temperature. The temperature will increase to the maximum 90°F(32°C) by turning the knob clockwise. The temperature will decrease to the minimum 62°F(17°C) by turning the knob counterclockwise.
NOTE:
o If the battery has been discharged or disconnected, the temperature mode will reset to Centigrade de- gree. This is a normal condition andyou can adjust the temperature mode from Centigrade to Fahren- heit as follows; Press the "OFF" and "AUTO" but-ton simultaneously for 3 seconds. The display shows that the unit of temperature is adjusted to Centi- grade or Fahrenheit.(°C

6. Start the engine with the radiator cap still removed and continue to add coolant as the level decreases as air is expelled from the system. When the level remains constant, replace the radiator cap and replen- ish the coolant reservoir.
7. When the engine is hot, check to ensure that no coolant leaks arepresent. WARNING:
The cooling fan is controlled by
engine coolant temperature and maysometimes operate even when theengine is not running. Use extreme caution when working near the blades of the cooling fan so thatyou are not injured by a rotating fan blade. As the engine coolant tem- perature decreases, the fan will au-tomatically shut off. This is a nor- mal condition.

Lift out the air flow sensor followed by the air cleaner element. Replacementof the element is the reverse of the above.
CAUTION:
o The air flow sensor is a precision engineered electronic measuringdevice and therefore care should be exercised that the air flow sen-sor is not damaged during re- placement of the element.
o When removing the air cleaner element, be careful that dust or dirt does not enter the air intake. These may result in damage to the air cleaner element.
To ensure maximum filtration perfor-mance and continued engine perfor- mance, only genuine Hyundai replace-ments should be used.
WINDSCREEN WIPER BLADES
G080A01A-EAT The wiper blades should be carefully inspected from time to time and cleaned to remove accumulations ofroad film or other debris. To clean the wiper blades and arms, use a clean sponge or cloth with a mild soap or detergent and water. If the wipers continue to streak or smear theglass, replace them with genuine Hyundai replacement. HEF119
!
CAUTION:
o Do not operate the wipers on dry glass since rapid wear and dam- age to the windscreen glass mayresult.
o Keep the blade rubber out of con- tact with petroleum products suchas engine oil, petrol, etc.
