Features of your vehicle
Trip computer
The trip computer is a microcomputer-
controlled driver information system that
displays information related to driving on
the display when the ignition switch is in
the ON position. All stored driving infor-
mation (except odometer) is reset if the
battery is disconnected.Odometer (km or mi.) The odometer indicates the total dis-
tance the vehicle has been driven.
You will also find the odometer useful to
determine when periodic maintenance
should be performed.
The odometer is always displayed until
the display is turned off.

Tripmeter (km or mi.)
TRIP A : Tripmeter A
TRIP B : Tripmeter BThis mode indicates the distance of indi-
vidual trips selected since the last trip-meter reset.
The meter's working range is from 0.0 to 9999.9 km (0.0 to 9999.9 miles).
Pressing the RESET button for more
than 1 second, when the tripmeter (TRIP
A or TRIP B) is being displayed, clears
the tripmeter to zero (0.0). Distance to empty (km or mi.) This mode indicates the estimated dis- tance to empty based on the current fuelin the fuel tank and the amount of fuel
delivered to the engine. When the
remaining distance is below 50 km (30
miles), “---” will be displayed and the dis-
tance to empty indicator will blink.
The meter’s working range is from 50 to999 km (30 to 999 miles).
Average fuel consumption (if equipped)(
l/100 km or MPG)
This mode calculates the average fuelconsumption from the total fuel used and
the distance since the last average con-
sumption reset. The total fuel used is cal-culated from the fuel consumption input.
For an accurate calculation, drive morethan 50 m (0.03 miles). Pressing the RESET button for more than
1 second, when the average fuel con-
sumption is being displayed, clears the
average fuel consumption to zero (---).
If the vehicle speed exceeds 1 km/h after refueled more than 6 l, the average fuel
consumption will be cleared to zero (---).

Instant fuel consumption (l/100 km or MPG)
This mode calculates the instant fuel
consumption every 2 seconds from the
driving distance and quantity of fuelinjection. Average speed (km/h or MPH)
This mode calculates the average speed
of the vehicle since the last averagespeed reset.
Even if the vehicle is not in motion, the
average speed keeps going whilst the
engine is running.
Pressing the RESET button for more
than 1 second, when the average speed
is being displayed, clears the average
speed to zero (---).Elapsed time
This mode indicates the total time trav-
eled since the last driving time reset.
Even if the vehicle is not in motion, the
driving time keeps going whilst the
engine is running.
The meter’s working range is from 00:00~99:59.
Pressing the RESET button for more
than 1 second, when the driving time is
being displayed, clears the driving time to
zero (00:00).

ECO ON/OFF mode (if equipped)
You can turn the ECO indicator on/off on
the instrument cluster in this mode.
If you push the RESET button more than
1 second in the ECO ON mode, ECO
OFF is displayed in the screen and the
ECO indicator turns off whilst driving.
If you want to display the ECO indicator
again, press the RESET button morethan 1 second in the ECO OFF mode
and then ECO ON mode is displayed inthe screen.
When you press the TRIP button less
than 1 second in the ECO mode, the
mode is changed to tripmeter.

NOTICE
If the vehicle is not on level ground or the battery power has been interrupt-
ed, the “Distance to empty” function
may not operate correctly.
The trip computer may not register
additional fuel if less than 6 litres (1.6
gallons) of fuel are added to the vehi-
cle.
The fuel consumption (if equipped)
and distance to empty values may
vary significantly based on driving
conditions, driving habits, and condi-
tion of the vehicle.
The distance to empty value is an esti- mate of the available driving distance.
This value may differ from the actual
driving distance available.
Vehicle setting
When the vehicle is at a standstill, press-
ing the TRIP button for more than 2 sec-
onds with the engine start/stop button in
the ON position or engine running, theLCD screen on the cluster will change to
the vehicle setting mode.
You can change the item by pressing the
TRIP button and choose the item by
pressing the RESET button.

Warnings and indicators
All warning lights are checked by turning
the ignition switch ON (do not start the
engine). Any light that does not illuminate
should be checked by an authorised
HYUNDAI dealer.
After starting the engine, check to make
sure that all warning lights are off. If anyare still on, this indicates a situation that
needs attention. When releasing the
parking brake, the brake system warning
light should go off. The fuel warning light
will stay on if the fuel level is low.ECO indicator
(if equipped)
The ECO indicator is a system that
informs you to drive economically.
It is displayed if you drive fuel efficiently
to help you improve fuel efficiency.
The ECO indicator (green) will turn on when you are driving fuel efficiently in
the ECO ON mode.
If you don't want the indicator dis-
played, you can turn the ECO ON
mode to OFF mode by pressing the
RESET button.
As per ECO ON/OFF Mode operation,
refer to the previous page.
The fuel-efficiency can be changed by the driver's driving habit and road con-dition.
It doesn't work at the condition which doesn't meet economical driving such
as P (Park), N (Neutral), R (Reverse)
or sports mode.
Whilst the instant fuel consumption mode is displayed on the LCD screen,
the ECO indicator turns off.
ECOWARNING
Don't keep watching the indicator
whilst driving. It will distract youwhilst driving and cause an acci-
dent that results in severe personal
injury.

To check bulb operation, check whether
the parking brake and brake fluid warning
light illuminates when the ignition switchis in the ON position.Automatic transaxle shift
indicator (if equipped)
The indicator displays to show the auto-
matic transaxle shift lever selection.
Manual transaxle shift
indicator (if equipped)
This indicator informs you which gear is
desired whilst driving to save fuel.
For example
: Indicates that shifting up to the 3rdgear is desired (currently the shift
lever is in the 2nd gear).
: Indicates that shifting down to the 3rd gear is desired (currently the
shift lever is in the 4th gear).
✽✽ NOTICE
When the system is not working proper-
ly, up & down arrow indicator and Gear
are not displayed.
Front fog light indicator (if equipped)
This light comes on when the front fog lights are ON.WARNING
Driving the vehicle with a warning
light on is dangerous. If the brake
warning light remains on, have the
brakes checked and repaired imme-
diately by an authorised HYUNDAI
dealer.

Charging system warninglight
This warning light indicates a malfunction
of either the generator or electricalcharging system.
If the warning light comes on whilst the
vehicle is in motion:
1. Drive to the nearest safe location.
2. With the engine off, check the alterna- tor drive belt for looseness or break-
age.
3. If the belt is adjusted properly, a prob- lem exists somewhere in the electrical
charging system. Have an authorised
HYUNDAI dealer correct the problem
as soon as possible.
Trunk lid open warning
light
This warning light illuminates when a
trunk lid is not closed securely with the
ignition in any position.
Door open position indica-
tor
This indicator illuminates when a door is
not closed securely.
The indicator displays which door isopened.
Immobiliser indicator (if equipped)
Without smart key system This light illuminates when the immobilis-
er key is inserted and turned to the ON
position to start the engine.
At this time, you can start the engine. The
light goes out after the engine is running.
If this light blinks when the ignition switch
is in the ON position before starting the
engine, have the system checked by an
authorised HYUNDAI dealer.
With smart key system (if equipped)
If any of the following occurs in a vehicle
equipped with the smart key, the immo-
biliser indicator illuminates, blinks or the
light goes off.
When the smart key is in the vehicle, if the engine start/stop button is turned
to the ACC or ON position, the indica-
tor will illuminate. However, when the
smart key is not in the vehicle, if the
engine start/stop button is depressed,
the indicator will blink for a few minutes
to indicate that you will not be able to
start the engine.

Digital clock (if equipped)
Whenever the battery terminals or relat-
ed fuses are disconnected, you must
reset the time.
When the ignition switch is in the ACC or
ON position, the clock buttons operate as
follows:
Hour (1)
Pressing the H button with your finger, a
pencil or similar object will advance the
time displayed by one hour.
Minute (2)
Pressing the M button with your finger, a
pencil or similar object will advance the
time displayed by one minute.
Display conversion
To change the 12 hour format to the 24
hour format, press the “H” and “M” but-
tons at the same time for more than 3
seconds.
For example, if the “H” and “M” buttons
are pressed for more than 3 seconds
whilst the time is 10:15 p.m., the displaywill be changed to 22:15.
WARNING
Do not adjust the clock whilst driv-
ing. You may lose your steering
control and cause an accident that
results in severe personal injury ordeath.

1. AM Selection Button
Pressing the [AM] button selects the AM
band. AM Mode is displayed on the LCD.
2. FM Selection Button
Turns to FM mode and toggles FM1and
FM2 when the button is pressed each
time.
3. Automatic Channel SelectionButton
When the [SEEK ] button is pressed, it increases the band fre- quency to automatically select chan-
nel. Stops at the previous frequency if
no channel is found.
When the [TRACK ] button is press- ed, it reduces the band frequency to
automatically select channel. Stops at
the previous frequency if no channel is
found. 4. Power ON/OFF Button &
Volume Control Button
Turns on/off the set when the IGNITION
SWITCH is on ACC or ON. If the button
is turned to the right, it increases the vol-
ume and left,decreases the volume.
Adjusts the volume of the car audio system. Rotate clockwise to increase
the volume or counterclockwise to
decrease.
5. Preset Button
Push [1]~[6] buttons less than 0.8 sec-
ond to play the channel saved in each
button. Push Preset button for 0.8 sec-
ond or longer to save current channel to
the respective button with a beep.
6. AST(AUTO STORE Button)
When the button is pressed, it automati-
cally selects and saves channels with
high reception rate to PRESET buttons
[1]~[6] and plays the channel saved in
PRESET1. If no channel is saved after
AST, it will play the previous channel. 7. SETUP Button ■

Press this button to turn to the SCROLL
option and the other adjustment mode.
If no action is taken for 5 seconds after
pressing the button, it will return to the
play mode. (After entering SETUP mode,
move between items using the left, rightand PUSH functions of the [TUNE]
knob.) The setup changes in the order of
TEXT SCROLL ➟ AV C

The setup Change in the order of TONE➟ POSITION ➟ AVC ➟ CLOCK ➟
SCROLL ➟ RETURN
This function is used to display charac-
ters longer than the LCD text display and
can be turned ON/OFF through the [
FOLDER ] button.
This function automatically adjusts the
volume level according to the speed of
the vehicle and can be turned ON/OFF
through the [ FOLDER ] button.

Pressing the [ENTER] button to adjust
the sound the following order : BASS,
MIDDLE, TREBLE. Adjust the BASS and
press the [ FOLDER ] button to set. Use the same method to adjust MIDDLE,
TREBLE and press the [ENTER] button
to complete and exit from TONE adjust-
ment mode.
Pressing the [ENTER] button to adjust
the POSITION the following order :
FADER, BALANCE. Adjust the FADER
and press the [ FOLDER ] button toset. Use the same method to adjust the BAL-
ANCE and press the [ENTER] button to
complete and exit from POSITION
adjustment mode.
Pressing the [ FOLDER ] button to
adjust the clock in the following order :
CLOCK SET, TIME FORMAT,
RETURN. Adjust the CLOCK SET and
press the [ENTER] button to set.
Use the same method to adjust TIME
FORMAT. Adjust the RETURN and press
the [ENTER] button to complete and exit
from clock adjustment mode.
8. Manual Channel Selector &
Sound Quality Control Knob
Turn this control whilst listening to a radio
channel to manually adjust frequency.
Turn clockwise to increase frequency
and counterclockwise to reduce frequen-
cy.
Pressing the button changes the BASS,
MIDDLE, TREBLE, FADER and BAL-
ANCE TUNE mode. The mode selected
is shown on the display. After selecting
each mode, rotate the Audio control knob
clockwise or counterclockwise. BASS Control
To increase the BASS, rotate the knob
clockwise, whilst to decrease the BASS,
rotate the knob counterclockwise. MIDDLE Control
To increase the MIDDLE, rotate the knob
clockwise, whilst to decrease the MID-
DLE, rotate the knob counterclockwise. TREBLE Control
To increase the TREBLE, rotate the knob
clockwise, whilst to decrease the TRE-
BLE, rotate the knob counterclockwise.
FADER Control
Turn the control knob clockwise to
emphasize rear speaker sound(front
speaker sound will be attenuated).
When the control knob is turned counter-
clockwise, front speaker sound will be
emphasized(rear speaker sound will be
attenuated). BALANCE Control
Rotate the knob clockwise to emphasize
right speaker sound(left speaker sound
will be attenuated).
When the control knob is turned counter
clockwise, left speaker sound will be
emphasized(right speaker sound will be
attenuated).
