B090A02Y-AAT POWER DRIVER'S SEAT (If Installed) The driver's seat can be adjusted ap- propriately by using the control knobon the left side of the seat. Before driving, adjust the seat to the proper position so as to easily control thesteering wheel, pedals and switches on the instrument panel.
CAUTION:
Do not operate two knobs at the same time.
WARNING:
o Never attempt to adjust the seat while the vehicle is moving. Thiscould result in loss of control oran accident causing death, seri- ous injury, or property damage.
o Do not sit or lean unnecessarily close to the airbag. B090B01L-AAT Adjusting Seat Forward and Rearward Pull the control knob forward or back- ward to move the seat forward or back-ward to the desired position. Release the knob and the seat will lock at that position.

When folding down or returning the seatback, always hold theseatback. Otherwise, the seatback could move suddenly and result in unexpected injury.
NOTE:
o Before lowering the seat cush-ion when you return the seat, roll the securing strap and put it in the pocket.
o When you return the seatback to its upright position, always besure it is locked into position bypulling and pushing on the top of seatback.

ing strap(3) under the seat cushionto the headrest stay of front driver and passenger seat.

o The purpose of the fold-down rear seatback and the fold-up rear seat cushion is to allow you to carry more objects than could be accommodated. Never allow pas-sengers to sit on the cargo area while the car is moving. This is not a proper seating position andno seat belts are available for use when the seatback is folded down.This could result in serious in- jury or death in case of an acci- dent or a sudden stop. Objectsshould not extend higher than the top of the front seatbacks. This could allow cargo to slideforward and cause injury or dam- age during sudden stops. B095A03HP-GAT THIRD SEAT(For 7 Passengers) Adjusting Seatback Angle To recline the seatback, pull the seatback recliner control lever back-wards, and release it after the desired seatback angle is achieved. When you recline the seatback to de-sired position, always be sure it has locked into position.
o When you return the rear
seatback to its upright position after being folded down, be care- ful not to damage the seat belt webbing or buckle. In addition,do not allow the seat belt web- bing or buckle to get caught or pinched in the rear seat.
o Do not allow passengers to fold down and up the seatback andseat cushion while the car ismoving.

3. Pull the seat cushion release knob(2)
beside the seat cushion, and fold the seat cushion sideways.

1. Lower the headrest completely while
pressing the lock knob (If Installed).
2. To fold down the seatback, pull the seatback recliner control lever(1), and then push down the seatback.
WARNING:
To minimize the risk of personalinjury in the event of a collision or a sudden stop, both the driver's and passenger's seatbacks shouldremain in an upright position while the car is in motion. The protection provided by the seat belts andairbags may be reduced signifi- cantly when the seatbacks are re- clined. There is a greater risk thatthe seat occupants will slide under the belt resulting in serious injury if a crash occurs when the seatbacksare reclined. The seat belt cannot provide full protection to an occu- pant if the seatback is reclined.
!WARNING:

4. To secure the seat, hook the secur-
ing strap(3) under the seat cushion to the assist handle and fold the leg of the third seat(4). 5. Fix the seat belt buckle in the groove
not to damage it.
6. To return the seatback and seat cushion to its normal position, re-verse the above procedure.
NOTE: When you return the seat cushion to its normal position, always lower the leg of the third seat to lock theseat into position.

B160A01A-AAT CARE OF SEAT BELTS Seat belt systems should never be disassembled or modified. In addition,care should be taken to assure that seat belts and belt hardware are not damaged by seat hinges, doors orother abuse.
WARNING:
When you return the rear seatback to its upright position after the rear seatback was folded down, be care- ful not to damage the seat belt web- bing or buckle. Be sure that thewebbing or buckle does not get caught or pinched in the rear seat.
B160B01A-AAT Periodic Inspection It is recommended that all seat belts be inspected periodically for wear ordamage of any kind. Parts of the sys- tem that are damaged should be re- placed as soon as possible. B160C01A-AAT Keep Belts Clean and Dry Seat belts should be kept clean and dry. If belts become dirty, they can becleaned by using a mild soap solution and warm water. Bleach, dye, strong detergents or abrasives should not beused because they may damage and weaken the fabric. B160D01A-AAT When to Replace Seat Belts Entire in-use seat belt assembly or assemblies should be replaced if the vehicle has been involved in an acci-dent. This should be done even if no damage is visible. Additional ques- tions concerning seat belt operationshould be directed to your Hyundai Dealer.
B170A04A-AAT HEIGHT ADJUSTABLE FRONT SEAT SHOULDER BELT(If Installed) You can adjust the height of the shoul- der belt anchor to one of the 4 positions for maximum comfort and safety. If the height of the adjusting seat belt istoo near your neck, you will not be getting the most effective protection. The shoulder portion should be ad-justed so that it lies across your chest and midway over your shoulder near- est the door and not your neck.To adjust the height of the seat belt anchor, lower or raise the height ad- juster into an appropriate position. Toraise the height adjuster, pull it up. To

!WARNING:
o Pre-tensioners are designed to operate only one time. After acti- vation, pre-tensioner seat belts must be replaced. All seat belts,of any type, should always be replaced after they have been worn during a collision.
o The pre-tensioner seat belt as- sembly mechanisms become hotduring activation. Do not touchthe pre-tensioner seat belt as- semblies for several minutes af- ter they have been activated.
o Do not attempt to inspect or re- place the pre-tensioner seat beltsyourself. This must be done byan authorized Hyundai dealer.
o Do not strike the pre-tensioner
seat belt assemblies.
o Do not attempt to service or re- pair the pre-tensioner seat beltsystem in any manner.! CAUTION:
o Because the sensor that activates the SRS airbag is connected with pre-tensioner seat belt, the SRS airbag warning light on the instrument panel will blink for approximately 6 seconds after the ignition key has been turned to the "ON" position or after the engine is started, and then it should turn off.
o If pre-tensioner seat belt is not working properly, this warning light will illuminate even if there is no malfunction of the SRS airbag. If the SRS airbag warning light does not blink for about 6 seconds when the ignition key is turned to "ON" or the engine is started, or if it remains illumi- nated after blinking for approxi- mately 6 seconds, or if it illumi- nates while the vehicle is being driven, please have an authorized Hyundai dealer inspect the pre- tensioner seat belts and SRS airbag system as soon as pos- sible.

tensioner seat belt assemblies, and failure to heed the warnings to not strike, modify, inspect, re-place, service or repair the pre- tensioner seat belt assemblies may lead to improper operationor inadvertent activation and se- rious injury.
o Always wear seat belts when driv-
ing or riding in a motor vehicle.

The SRS service reminder indicator (SRI) on the instrument panel will blinkfor about 6 seconds after the ignition key is turned to the "ON" position or after the engine is started, after whichthe SRI should go out.
Upon deployment, tear seams moldeddirectly into the pad covers will sepa- rate under pressure from the expan- sion of the airbags. Further opening ofthe covers then allows full inflation of the airbags. A fully inflated airbag in combination with a properly worn seat belt slows the driver's or the passenger's forwardmotion, thus reducing the risk of head or chest injury. After complete inflation, the airbag immediately starts deflating, enabling the driver to maintain forward visibility.
The airbag modules are located both in the center of the steering wheel and in the front passenger's panel abovethe glove box. When the SRSCM de- tects a considerable impact to the front of the vehicle, it will automatically de-ploy the airbags.

!WARNING:
o When the SRS is activated, there may be a loud noise and fine dust will be released through the ve-hicle. These conditions are nor- mal and are not hazardous. How- ever, the fine dust generated dur-ing airbag deployment may cause skin irritation. Wash your hands and face thoroughly with luke-warm water and a mild soap after an accident in which the airbags were deployed. o The SRS can function only when
the ignition key is in the "ON"position. If the SRS SRI does notflash, or continuously remains on after flashing for about 6 sec- onds when the ignition key isturned to the "ON" position or after the engine is started, comes on while driving, the SRS is notworking properly. If this occurs, have your vehicle immediately inspected by your Hyundaidealer.
o Before you replace a fuse or dis-
connect a battery terminal, turnthe ignition key to the "LOCK" position or remove the ignition key. Never remove or replace theair bag related fuse(s) when the ignition key is in the "ON" posi- tion. Failure to heed this warningwill cause the SRS SRI to illumi- nate.! CAUTION:
When installing a container of liq- uid air freshener inside the vehicle,do not place it near the instrument cluster nor on the instrument panel surface. If there is any leakage fromthe air freshener onto these areas (Instrument cluster, instrument panel or air ventilator), it may dam-age these parts. If the liquid from the air freshener does leak onto these areas, wash them with waterimmediately. B240B01HP
