This will release the seat on its track so you can move it forward or rearwardto the desired position. When you find the position you want, release the lever and slide the seat forward orrearward on its track until it locks into the desired position and cannot be moved further.
!WARNING:
To ensure the seat is locked se- curely, attempt to move the seatforward or rearward without using the lock release lever.!
B080C01A-AAT Adjusting Seatback Angle To recline the seatback, lean forward to take your weight off it, then pull up onthe recliner control lever at the outside edge of the seat. Now lean back until the desired seatback angle is achieved.To lock the seatback into position, release the recliner control lever.
WARNING:
To minimize risk of severe injury inthe event of a collision or a sudden stop, both the driver and passen-ger seatbacks should always be in an upright position while the ve- hicle is in motion. The protectionprovided by the seat belts and airbags in a frontal collision may be reduced significantly when theseatbacks are reclined. There is greater risk that the driver and pas- senger will slide under the seat beltwhich may result in serious injury if a crash occurs when the seatbacks are reclined.The seat belt cannot provide full protection to an occupant if the seat back is reclined.

Headrests are designed to help reduce the risk of neck injuries. To raise the headrest, pull it up. Tolower it, push it down while pressing the lock knob. To remove the head- rest, raise it as far as it can go thenpress the lock knob while pulling up- ward.

To adjust the head- rest rearward, pull it fully forward to thefarthest position and release it. Adjust the headrest so that it properly sup- ports the head and neck.

B090B02HP-DAT Folding Rear Seatback and Seat Cushion For greater convenience, the entire seatback and seat cushion may befolded down and up.
!WARNING:
To minimize the risk of personal injury in the event of a collision ora sudden stop, both the driver's and passenger's seatbacks should remain in an upright position whilethe car is in motion. The protection provided by the seat belts and airbags may be reduced signifi-cantly when the seatbacks are re- clined. There is a greater risk that the seat occupants will slide underthe belt resulting in serious injury if a crash occurs when the seatbacks are reclined. The seat belt cannotprovide full protection to an occu- pant if the seatback is reclined. NOTE: Before folding the seat, fit the seat belt webbing in the clip and put the seat belt buckle between theseatback and the seat cushion.

When folding down or returning the seatback, always hold theseatback. Otherwise, the seatback could move suddenly and result in unexpected injury.
NOTE:
o Before lowering the seat cush-ion when you return the seat, roll the securing strap and put it in the pocket.
o When you return the seatback to its upright position, always besure it is locked into position bypulling and pushing on the top of seatback.

3. Pull the seat cushion release le- ver(2) upward, and then fold up theseat cushion. 4. To secure the seat, hook the secur-
ing strap(3) under the seat cushionto the headrest stay of front driver and passenger seat.

3. Pull the seat cushion release knob(2)
beside the seat cushion, and fold the seat cushion sideways.

4. To secure the seat, hook the secur-
ing strap (4) under the seat cushion to the headrest stay of front driver and passenger seat.
After doing above procedure, passen-gers can get in or get out of the third seat.
WARNING:
Do not allow passengers to folddown and up the seatback and seat cushion while the car is moving.

1. Open the tether anchor cover on the
floor behind the second seat with the key inserted in the hole.
2. Route the child restraint seat strap over the seatback.For vehicles with adjustable head-rests, route the tether strap under B230C01HP

BEFORE STARTING THE ENGINE
C020A02A-AAT Before you start the engine, you should always:
1. Look around the vehicle to be sure
there are no flat tires, puddles of oil, water or other indications of possible trouble.
2. After entering the car, check to be sure the parking brake is engaged.
3. Check that all windows, and lights are clean.
4. Check that the interior and exterior
mirrors are clean and in position.
5. Check your seat, seatback and headrest to be sure they are in theirproper positions.
6. Lock all the doors.
7. Fasten your seat belt and be sure
that all other occupants have fas- tened theirs.
8. Turn off all lights and accessories
that are not needed.
9. When you turn the ignition switch to "ON", check that all appropriatewarning lights are operating andthat you have sufficient fuel.
10. Check the operation of warning
lights and all bulbs when key is inthe "ON" position.
WARNING:
Your vehicle is equipped with tires designed to provide for safe ride and handling capability.Do not use a size and type of tire and wheel that is different from the one that was originally installed onyour vehicle. It can affect the safety and performance of your vehicle, which could lead to handling fail-ure or rollover and serious injury. When replacing the tires, be sure to equip all four tires with the tire andwheel of the same size, type, tread, brand and load-carrying capacity. If you nevertheless decide to equipyour vehicle with any tire/wheel combination not recommended by Hyundai for off-road driving, youshould not use these tires for high- way driving.
