NOTICE
To prevent damaging the remote key:
• Keep the remote key away from
water or any liquid and fire. Internal
circuits may malfunction if the inside
of the remote key gets damp (from
liquids or moisture) or if it is heated.
This can exclude the remote key from
being covered under warranty.
• Avoid dropping or throwing the
remote key.
• Protect the remote key from extreme
temperatures.

Remote key precautions
The remote key will not work if any of the
following occur:
•
The key is in the ignition switch.
• You exceed the operating distance
limit (about 90 feet [30 m]).
• The remote key battery is weak.
• Other vehicles or objects may be
blocking the signal.
• The weather is extremely cold.
• The remote key is close to a radio
transmitter such as a radio station or
an airport which can interfere with
normal operation of the remote key.
If the remote key does not work
correctly, open and close the door
with the mechanical key. If you have a
problem with the remote key contact an
authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
If the remote key is in close proximity to
your mobile phone, the signal could be
blocked by your mobile phone’s normal
operational signals. This is specifically
relevant when the phone is active such
as making and receiving calls, text
messaging, and/or sending/receiving
emails.
When possible, avoid placing the remote
key and your mobile phone in the same
location such as a pants or jacket pocket
in order to avoid interference between
the two devices.

Turn signals and lane change signals
OIG046417
To signal a turn, push down on the lever
for a left turn or up for a right turn in

Battery saver function
The purpose of this feature is to prevent
the battery from being discharged.
The system automatically turns off the

or parking lamps) remain on for about
5 minutes. However, if the driver’s door
is opened and closed, the headlamps
are turned off after 15 seconds. Also,
with the engine off if the driver’s door is
opened and closed, the headlamps (and/
or parking lamps) are turned off after 15
seconds.
The headlamps (and/or parking lamps)

System Description
Blind-Spot Collision Warning
Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW)
system uses radar sensors in the rear
bumper to monitor and warn the driver
of an approaching vehicle in the driver's
blind spot area.
1. Blind-Spot Area
OQX059143N
The blind spot detection range varies
relative to vehicle speed.
Note that if your vehicle is traveling
much faster than the vehicles around
you, the warning will not occur.
2. Closing at high speed
OQX059060N
Blind-Spot Collision Warning system
will alert you when it detects a vehicle is
approaching in an adjacent lane at a high
rate of speed. If the driver activates the
turn signal when the system detects an
oncoming vehicle, the system sounds an
audible alert.
WARNING
• Always be aware of road conditions
while driving and be alert for
unexpected situations even though
Blind-Spot Collision Warning system
is operating.
• Blind-Spot Collision Warning system
is supplemental systems to assist
you. Do not entirely rely on the
systems. Always pay attention, while
driving, for your safety.
• Blind-Spot Collision Warning system
is not a substitute for proper and safe
driving. Always drive safely and use
caution when changing lanes.
Blind-Spot Collision Warning
system may not detect every object
alongside the vehicle.
