(9) Shut off the engine and check the fluid level,
add fluid as necessary. Start engine

NOTE: Adjusting the steering gear in the vehicle is
not recommended. Remove gear from the vehicle
and drain the fluid. Then mount gear in a vise to
perform adjustments.

Hydraulic pressure for the power steering system
is provided by a belt driven power steering pump
(Fig. 1) and (Fig. 2). The pump shaft has a
pressed-on drive pulley that
