Features of your vehicle
If your vehicle is equipped with a
sunroof, you can slide or tilt your
sunroof with the sunroof control lever
located on the overhead console. The sunroof can only be opened, closed, or tilted when the ignition
switch is in the ON position.
✽✽NOTICE
 In cold and wet climates, the sun- roof may not work properly due to
freezing conditions.
 After a vehicle is washed or in a rainstorm be sure to wipe off any
water that is on the sunroof before
operating it.
✽
✽ NOTICE
 The sunroof cannot slide when it is in the tilt position nor can it be tilt-
ed while in an open or slide posi-
tion.
 While driving the vehicle, it is rec- ommended that you use the sun-
roof in the first detent position to
reduce possible wind noise.

Do not continue to move the sun-
roof control lever after the sun-roof is fully opened, closed, or tilted. Damage to the motor orsystem components could occur.
WARNING
Never adjust the sunroof or
sunshade while driving. This
could result in loss of control
and an accident that may cause
death, serious injury, or proper-
ty damage.
WARNING
In order to prevent accidental
operation of the sunroof, espe-
cially by a child, do not let a
child operate the sunroof.
WARNING
Do not sit on the top of the vehi-
cle. It may cause vehicle damage.

Automatic heating and air con- ditioning
1. Press the AUTO button. Themodes, fan speeds, air intake and air-conditioning will be controlledautomatically according to the
temperature setting. 2. Turn the temperature control knob
to the desired temperature.✽✽ NOTICE
 To turn the automatic operation off, select any button or switch of
the following:
- Mode selection button
- Air conditioning button
- Front windshield defroster button(Press the button one more time
to deselect the front windshield
defroster function. The 'AUTO'
sign will illuminate on the infor-
mation display once again.)
- Air intake control button
- Fan speed control button
The selected function will be con-
trolled manually while other func-
tions operate automatically.
 For your convenience and to improve the effectiveness of the
climate control, use the AUTO
button and set the temperature to
22°C/71°F (23°C/73°F- Except
Europe).

Instrument panel vents
The outlet vents can be opened or
closed separately using the thumb-wheel.
Also, you can adjust the direction of
air delivery from these vents using
the vent control lever as shown.
Temperature control
The temperature will increase to the
maximum (HI) by turning the knob to
the extreme right.
The temperature will decrease to the
minimum (Lo) by turning the knob to
the extreme left.
When turning the knob, the tempera-
ture will increase or decrease by
0.5°C/1°F. When set to the lowest
temperature setting, the air condi-
tioning will operate continuously. Adjusting the driver and passenger
side temperature equally
Press the “SYNC” button to adjust
the driver and passenger side tem-
perature equally.
The passenger side temperature
will be set to the same temperature
as the driver side temperature.
Turn the driver side temperature control knob. The driver and pas-
senger side temperature will be
adjusted equally.
When the third row’s seat heater button is turned ON, the third row’s
climate and fan speed setting will
automatically follow the first row
settings.

NOTICE
Prolonged operation of the heater in
the recirculated air position (with-
out air conditioning selected) may
cause fogging of the windshield and
side windows and the air within the
passenger compartment may
become stale.
In addition, prolonged use of the air
conditioning with the recirculated
air position selected will result in
excessively dry air in the passenger
compartment.Fan speed control
The fan speed can be set to the
desired speed by pushing the fan
speed control button.
The higher the fan speed is, the
more air is delivered. Pressing the
OFF button turns off the fan.
WARNING
Continue using the climate control system in the recircu-
lated air position may allowhumidity to increase inside
the vehicle which may fog the
glass and obscure visibility.
Do not sleep in a vehicle with the air conditioning or heating
system on. It may cause seri-ous harm or death due to a
drop in the oxygen level
and/or body temperature.
Continue using the climate control system in the recircu-lated air position can cause
drowsiness or sleepiness,
and loss of vehicle control.
Set the air intake control tothe outside (fresh) air position
as much as possible whiledriving.

Air conditioning
Press the A/C button to turn the air conditioning system on (indicatorlight will illuminate).
Press the button again to turn the air
conditioning system off.
OFF mode
Press the front blower OFF button to
turn off the front air climate control
system. However, you can still oper-
ate the mode and air intake buttons
as long as the ignition switch is in theON position.
Climate information screen selec-tion (if equipped)
Press the climate information screen
selection button to display climate
information on the screen.

Rear heating and air condi- tioning (if equipped) To turn on the rear climate control system
1. Press the rear blower ON/OFF
button located on the front and rear climate control panel (indica-tor light will illuminate).
Operating the fan speed switch will
also turn on the rear climate con-trol system.
2. Set the fan speed to the desired speed with the front or rear fan
speed switch.
3. The rear temperature and mode is controlled automatically by thefront climate control system.

If you operate the rear temperature or mode on the rear climate controlpanel, the corresponding rear tem-
perature or mode will operate inde-pendently regardless of the front
climate control system operation.
If the ignition switch is turned OFF and ON again, the rear tempera-ture and mode will be controlled
automatically by the front climatecontrol system.
To activate the rear air condition- ing, press the A/C button on thefront climate control system.
