Charging Stopped. Check the AC/DC charger – When there is a problem with the external AC or DC charger, when the AC charger stops charging or when the charging cable is damaged, this message will appear. Check whether there is a problem with the charger or cable. If no problem is found, see an authorized Kia dealer for further assistance.
Remaining Time – Displays the remaining
time to charge the battery to the selected target battery charge level, current SOC and the charge voltage level.
Check Regenerative Brakes – Displays when the
regenerative brake system does not work properly. In this case, have your vehicle inspected by an authorized Kia dealer.
Charging Stopped. Check the cable connector – When the charging connector is not correctly connected to the charging inlet or the charging connector lock release button is pressed, this message will appear. If this occurs, separate the charging connector and re-connect it. Check whether there is any problem (external damage, foreign substances, etc.) with the charging connector and charging inlet. If the problem continues, see an authorized Kia dealer for assistance.

Scheduled ChargingCharging Connector - Auto/Lock Mode
Charging times can be set through the Infotainment System Vehicle Settings. Select EV, then CHARGING AND CLIMATE. You can also use the Scheduled Charging* feature on the Kia Connect app.
The Kia Connect app can help you find the nearest charging station, and also displays charging status and Scheduled Charging information. On your smartphone, go to an app store or marketplace to download the Kia Connect app.
REMINDER: When Scheduled Charging is set and the charger is plugged in, charging of the electric vehicle will not begin until the time and date set.
Deactivate Scheduled Charging - Depress the Charging button D to temporarily disable the scheduled charging feature when immediate charging is required.
The Charging Connector can be set to be locked or unlocked while in the charging inlet and charging. To select the locking mode, go to the Vehicle Settings mode in the Infotainment System. Press the Mode button A on the left side of the Steering Wheel or press the SETUP key on the infotainment system or the SETUP button on the screen. Select VEHICLE, then ECO VEHICLE. Select CHARGING CONNECTOR LOCK.
Emergency Release - If the charging connector is not unlocking, then use the emergency release lever inside the trunk. Turn the Emergency Release cover to open B and remove. Pull the Emergency Release lever C to unlock the changing connector.

•If in lock mode & the doors are unlocked, the charging connector unlocks, but if the charging cable is not disconnected within 10 seconds, the connector will automatically locked again
•If the charging connector is unlocked but all the doors are locked again, immediately, the connector will automatically lock again
•If charging does not work, disconnect the connector and tr y charging again
QUICK TIPS
When you press the Deactivate Scheduled Charging but ton the reser ved charging set ting will temporarily disable, and star t immediate charging mode. If you need to completely deactivate the scheduled charge set ting, change the set ting in the Infotainment System’s Vehicle Set tings or the Kia Connect smar tphone app.

Charging Your EV (Continued)
To charge your EV using a charger:
•Ensure scheduled charging is not set on the infotainment system or the Kia Access App
•Press the brake pedal and engage the parking brake
•Turn off all switches, turn the Rotary Dial Shifter Knob to P (Park), and turn off the vehicle
•To open the charge port door, press the left edge of the charge port door A or press the Charging Door Open button B on the Driver ’s Panel inside (the charging door can be opened when the vehicle is unlocked)
•Hold the charging connector handle and connect it to the vehicle’s charging inlet C by pushing the connector until you hear a clicking sound
•Charging begins automatically (Ensure the charge indicator light is illuminated red on your instrument cluster, indicating the vehicle is charging, and ensure scheduled charging is not set)
Checking the Charging Status
The charging status can be checked by viewing the charging status indicator D next to the charging inlet or on the dash panel. The lights will progressively become lit as the vehicle approaches a full charge.

Blind-Spot View Monitor (BVM)*†4
Blind-Spot View Monitor is designed to display the rear and side of the vehicle blind spot areas in the Instrument Cluster LCD A when the system is activated.
To turn BVM on press the SETUP key/button on the Infotainment System. Select VEHICLE, then Driver Assistance, then Blind-Spot Safety, and then Blind-Spot View.
When operating the turn signal B, BVM displays video of the blind-spot view for the direction indicated.
BVM will not operate when the Power button is off, a turn signal is deactivated or another warning screen comes up on the Instrument Cluster LCD.
When engaged, these systems are not substitutes for safe driving and may not always warn the driver if the vehicle is driven outside of its lane. Always drive safely and use caution.

Safe Exit Assist (SEA)*†4
Safe Exit Assist can help prevent passengers from opening their door by displaying a warning message on the Instrument Cluster and sounding an audible warning when a vehicle is detected C, approaching from behind, after your vehicle has stopped.
SEA keeps the doors closed. When opening a door, SEA warns the driver of the risk of collision with a vehicle approaching the blind spot area.
In addition, when the Electronic Child Safety Lock button is in the LOCK position and an approaching vehicle from the rear area is detected, the Electronic Child Safety Lock button will not unlock the rear doors, even if the driver presses the button to open the doors.
To turn on SEA , press the SETUP key/button on the Infotainment System. Select VEHICLE, then select Driver Assistance, Blind-Spot Safety, and Safe Exit Assist.

Lock System*
Press button C to lock the rear passenger doors. An indicator will illuminate showing the system is active. This system is on by default, and then activated once the button is pressed.
To deactivate, press the button again.

Outside Mirrors
Mirror heaters automatically turn ON/OFF at the same time the Rear Window Defroster is turned ON/OFF. Rear Window Defroster button* is located on climate control system panel.

Power Folding Outside Mirrors*
Press mirror switch to the left or right D to select mirrors. Then press arrows E to adjust mirror position.
To automatically fold and unfold both the outside rearview mirrors, press the folding mirror button F.
REMINDER: To lock position of mirrors, toggle switch to the neutral (center) position.

-If the noise occurs with one or both of the rear windows down, par tially lower both front windows approximately 1 inch
-If the noise occurs with the sunroof open, slightly reduce the size of the sunroof opening

To automatically fold mirrors when exiting vehicle, press the LOCK but ton once on the Smar t Key.

•The smar tphone and vehicle need to be connected to a cellular net work with good wireless signal strength in order to use Kia Connect. If these conditions are not met, remote command may not execute or may take a long time. It will also affect voice commands

To use Remote Star t or Remote Star t with Climate Control feature, all doors, hood and trunk/liftgate must be closed and locked
•When Remote Star t is activated, if the driver does not enter the vehicle within 10 minutes, the Remote Star t will turn the engine off

Driver Position Memory System*
The integrated system stores into memory the position of the Driver ’s Seat, the Outside Rearview Mirrors, Instrument Panel
Illumination brightness and Head-Up Display settings. To store settings into memory, first press P (Park) on the Rotary Dial Shifter with the vehicle power on. Adjust the Driver ’s Seat, Outside Mirrors and other settings.
Then, press and hold one of the memory buttons 1 or 2. The system will beep once when memory has been stored.

The headrest only moves up and down as described above. It does not adjust for ward or backward

Rear Occupant Alert (ROA) with Door Monitoring can help alert the driver when a rear passenger may be left in the vehicle. The alert will be a message on the Instrument Cluster LCD stating to “Check rear seats” B and an alert will sound.
The factory default is set to OFF. To turn the system ON or OFF, go to Vehicle Settings on the Infotainment System by selecting VEHICLE, then select Convenience, then Rear Occupant Alert and check/uncheck the box.

Always be sure to check the passenger areas before leaving the vehicle

ROA uses a rear door opened/closed histor y, which is reset after the driver turns the vehicle off, exits the vehicle and locks the door remotely. So even if a rear door does not reopen, Rear Occupant Aler t (ROA) aler t can occur

When engaged, Rear Occupant Aler t is not a substitute for one’s at tention and may not detect all movement within the vehicle. Always check the vehicle interior when exiting the vehicle.

Folding Rear Seats
To Fold:
1. Ensure the belt strap is out of way of the Seatback folding
2. Adjust the Front Seatback to the upright position and lower the rear headrest(s) to the lowest position
3. Pull on the Rear Seat recliner lever A, then fold the seat toward the front
To Unfold:
1. Pull the Rear Seat recliner lever A and lift the Seatback backward until it clicks firmly in place
2. Return the rear seat belt to the proper position
REMINDER: Always make sure the Seatback is locked in place when unfolded.
