What is Covered
Repair or replacement of HYBRID SYSTEM
components listed below, originally manufactured or
installed by Kia Motor Company, Kia Motors
Manufacturing Georgia (KMMG) or Kia Motor America
(KMA) that are found to be defective in material or
factory workmanship under normal use and maintenance,
except any item specifically referred to in the section
“What is Not Covered”. Towing expense to the nearest
Kia Dealership or authorized service location is covered
when the vehicle is inoperable due to a warrantable
defect within 10 years from the date of original retail
delivery or date of first use, or 100,000 miles, whichever
occurs first. “Owner’s Responsibilities” and “Obtaining
Warranty Service” are the same as specified under the
Kia New Vehicle Limited Warranty. Repairs will be
made using new Kia Genuine Parts or Kia authorized
remanufactured parts.
The Warranty Period
The Warranty period for the following HYBRID
SYSTEM components is limited to 10 years from the
date of original retail delivery or date of first use, or
100,000 miles, whichever occurs first. Note : For California Emissions Vehicles (excluding
Pennsylvania and Washington), the Hybrid System is
covered for 10 years from the date of original retail
delivery or date of first use, or 150,000 miles, whichever
occurs first.

Hybrid Battery Pack Assy, Hybrid Starter & Generator,
Hybrid Power Control Unit, Auto Transmission &
T
raction Motor including housing case, clutch and all
internal parts.
Owner’s Responsibilities
Y our responsibilities are the same as those described in
the Kia New Vehicle Limited Warranty.
What is Not Covered
Items not covered by this warranty and any exclusion or
limitations relating to this warranty are the same as those
set forth in the "What is Not Covered" section of the Kia
New Vehicle Limited Warranty already described in this
handbook. INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL
DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION,
LOSS OF TIME, INCONVENIENCE, LOSS OF USE
OF THE VEHICLE, OR COMMERCIAL LOSS ARE
NOT COVERED UNDER THIS WARRANTY.

Warranty Period
• Kia Genuine replacement parts
Kia Genuine replacement parts (except battery)
installed by an Authorized Kia Dealer under
warranty are covered for the greater of (1) the
duration of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty or
(2) the first 12 months from the date of
installation of the Kia Genuine replacement parts
or 12,000 miles.
• Kia Genuine replacement battery
This warranty applies only to Kia Genuine
replacement batteries purchased from an
Authorized Kia Dealer in the United States. Kia
Genuine replacement batteries are covered by a
limited warranty for the period of 36 months
from the date of installation, regardless of
mileage. During the first 12 months of the
warranty period a defective Kia Genuine
replacement battery will be replaced at no charge
for the new battery, labor or installation. If a Kia
Genuine replacement battery fails during the last
24 months of the 36-month warranty period, you will receive a pro-rated credit toward the
purchase of a new Kia battery. You are
responsible for all diagnostic, labor and
installation charges.

Kia will not reimburse you for any portion of the
cost of a non-Kia replacement battery.

Vermont Consumer Notice
The Vermont Lemon Law applies to new motor vehicles sold or leased (for two \
or more years) or registered in the
State of Vermont. A new motor vehicle is defined a passenger vehicle or truck, wit\
h a gross vehicle weight of 12,000
pounds or less, still under the manufacturer’s express warranty.
Y ou may be entitled to apply for a comparable replacement vehicle or pror\
ated refund if :
1) you discover a defect during the express warranty period which substanti\
ally impairs the use, market value or safety of this vehicle which has not been sucessfully repaired after thr\
ee repair attempts by an authorized
dealer, with at least the first repair occuring under the express warranty; or\
2) this vehicle has been out of service for repair for a cumulative total o\
f thirty (30) calendar days within the express warranty.
A written repair order or examination must be obtained for a repair atte\
mpt to qualify towards meeting the
presumption of reasonable repair.
The vehicle is deemed to be out of service if it is in for repair for a \
majority of the day.
Y ou may not use the Lemon Law if you elect to use the manufacturer ’s dispute settlement mechanism or if you have
stopped making payments on any finance agreement.
The New Motor Vehicle Arbitration program includes other eligibility requirements that \
you must meet to qualify.
Forms to initiate the New Motor Vehicle Arbitration process should be included with your new vehicle upon\
delivery.
