Odometer
The odometer Indicates the total dis-
tance that the vehicle has been driv-
en and should be used to determine
when periodic maintenance should
be performed.
- Odometer range : 0 ~ 999999 kilo-meters or miles.
Outside Temperature Gauge
This gauge indicates the current out-
side air temperatures by 1°C (1°F).
- Temperature range : -40°C ~ 60°C (-40°F ~ 140°F)
The outside temperature on the dis-
play may not change immediately
like a general thermometer to pre-
vent the driver from being inattentive.
The temperature unit (from °C to °F
or from °F to °C) can be changed by
pressing the OFF button and AUTO
button on the front climate control
panel for 3 seconds simultaneously.
Automatic Transmission Shift Indicator
This indicator displays which automat-
ic transmission shift lever is selected.
Reverse : R
Neutral : N
Sports Mode : 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8

LCD DISPLAY (TYPE A)

Trip Computer This mode displays driving information like the tripmeter, fuel economy, and so on.

User SettingsOn this mode, you can change settings of the doors, lamps, and so on.
SCC/LDWS

This mode displays the state of the Advanced Smart Cruise Control (ASCC) and Lane
Departure Warning System (LDWS).

Some driving information stored in
the trip computer (for example
Average Vehicle Speed) resets if the
battery is disconnected.

Automatic reset
To make the average fuel economy
be reset automatically whenever refu-
eling, select the “Auto Reset” mode in
"User Settings" mode (Type A) or
"Cluster Settings" menu (Type B) of
the LCD display. ❈For more defails, refer to "LCD
Display" in this chapter.
Under “Auto Reset” mode, the aver-
age fuel economy will be cleared to
zero (---) when the vehicle speed
exceeds 1 km/h after refueling morethan 6 liters (1.6 gallons).
✽✽ NOTICE
The average fuel economy is not dis-
played for more accurate calculation
if the vehicle does not drive more
than 10 seconds or 50 meters (0.03
miles) since the ignition switch or
Engine Start/Stop button is turned
to ON.
Instant Fuel Economy
This mode displays the instant fuel economy during the last few sec-
onds when the vehicle speed ismore than 10 km/h (6.2 MPH).
- Fuel economy range: 0.0 ~ 20.0L/100km or 0.0 ~ 50.0 MPG

Indicator Lights
Electronic StabilityControl (ESC) Indicator Light
This indicator light illuminates:
Once you set the ignition switch or Engine Start/Stop Button to the ON position.
- It illuminates for approximately 3seconds and then goes off.
When there is a malfunction with the ESC system.
In this case, we recommend that
you have the vehicle inspected by
an authorized Kia dealer.
This indicator light blinks:
While the ESC is operating.
For more details, refer to “Electronic
Stability Control (ESC)” in chapter 5.
Electronic Stability Control (ESC) OFF Indicator Light
This indicator light illuminates:
Once you set the ignition switch or Engine Start/Stop Button to the ON position.
- It illuminates for approximately 3seconds and then goes off.
When you deactivate the ESC sys- tem by pressing the ESC OFF but- ton.
For more details, refer to “Electronic
Stability Control (ESC)” in chapter 5.
ECO Indicator Light
This indicator light illuminates:
When you activate the active ECO
system by selecting ECO mode as a
drive mode.
For more details, refer to “Drive
Mode” in chapter 5.

on. To turn the lamp
off, press the but-ton again.
Press the button to operate the door
mode. The indicator on the button will
illuminate and lamps will turn on or off
as follows: - The front and rear lamp comeson when a door is opened. The
lamps go out after approximately
30 seconds.
- The front and rear lamp comes on for approximately 30 seconds
when doors are unlocked with the
smart key as long as the doorsare not opened.
- The front and rear lamp will stay on for approximately 20 minutes ifa door is opened with the engine
start/stop button in the ACC orOFF position.
- The front and rear lamp will stay on continuously if the door is
opened with the engine start/stop
button in the ON position. - The front and rear lamp will go out
immediately if the engine start/stop
button is changed to the ON posi-
tion or all doors are locked.
To turn off the door mode, press the
button again. The indicator on the
button will turn off.
Press the button to operate the pri-
vacy mode. The indicator on the but-
ton will illuminate and lamps will turn
on or off as follows:
- If you open any door, the lamp for the open door will illuminate.
To turn off the privacy mode, press
the button again. The indicator on the
button will turn off.Rear lamp switch
: Press the button to turn the lamp on. This light produces
a spot beam for convenientuse as a map lamp at night
or as a personal lamp for
the driver and the front pas-
senger. To turn the off,
press the button again.

Front lamp switch
: Press the button to turn thelamp on. This light pro-
duces a spot beam for con-
venient use as a map lampat night or as a personal
lamp for the driver and the
front passenger. To turn the
off, press the button again.
ROOM : Press the button to turn the front and rear lamp on. To
turn the lamp off, press the
button again.
Press the button to operate the door
mode. The indicator on the button will
illuminate and lamps will turn on or off
as follows:
- The front and rear lamp comes on
when a door is opened. The lamps
go out after approximately 30 sec-
onds.
- The front and rear lamp comes on for approximately 30 seconds when
doors are unlocked with the smart
key as long as the doors are notopened.
- The front and rear lamp will stay on for approximately 20 minutes if adoor is opened with the engine
start/stop button in the ACC or OFFposition.
- The front and rear lamp will stay on continuously if the door is opened
with the engine start/stop button inthe ON position.
- The front and rear lamp will go out immediately if the engine start/stop
button is changed to the ON posi-
tion or all doors are locked. To turn off the door mode, press the
button again. The indicator on the
button will turn off.
