Because the sensor that activates
the SRS air bag is connected with
the pre-tensioner seat belt, the SRS
air bag warning light ( ) on the
instrument panel will illuminate for
approximately 6 seconds after the
ignition switch has been turned to the
ON position, and then it should turn
off.
If the pre-tensioner seat belt does
not work properly, this warning light
will illuminate even if the SRS air bag
has not malfunctioned. If the SRS air
bag warning light does not illuminate
when the ignition switch is turned
ON, or if it remains illuminated after
illuminating for approximately 6 sec-
onds, or if it illuminates while the
vehicle is being driven, please have
an authorized Kia dealer inspect the
pre-tensioner seat belt or SRS air
bag system as soon as possible.✽ ✽

NOTICE
Do not attempt to service or repair
the pre-tensioner seat belt system in
any manner. Do not attempt to
inspect or replace the pre-tensioner
seat belts yourself. This must be
done by an authorized Kia dealer.
Pre-tensioners are designed to oper-
ate only one time. After activation,
pre-tensioner seat belts must be
replaced. If the pre-tensioner must
be replaced, contact an authorized
Kia dealer.
Seat belt precautions
Infant or small child
All 50 states have child restraint
laws. You should be aware of the
specific requirements in your state.
Child and/or infant seats must be
properly placed and installed in the
rear seat. For more information
about the use of these restraints,
refer to “Child restraint system” in this
section.
WARNING - Hot preten-
sioner
Do not touch the pre-tensioner
seat belt assemblies for several
minutes after they have been
activated. When the pre-ten-
sioner seat belt mechanism
fires during a collision the pre-
tensioner becomes hot and can
burn you.

SRS Care
The SRS is virtually maintenance-
free and there are no parts you can
safely service by yourself. If the SRS
air bag warning light does not illumi-
nate, or continuously remains on,
have your vehicle immediately
inspected by an authorized Kia deal-
er.
Any work on the SRS system, such
as removing, installing, repairing, or
any work on the steering wheel must
be performed by an authorized Kia
dealer. Improper handling of the SRS
system may result in serious person-
al injury.
For cleaning the air bag pad covers,
use only a soft, dry cloth or one
which has been moistened with plain
water. Solvents or cleaners could
adversely affect the air bag covers
and proper deployment of the sys-
tem.If components of the air bag system
must be discarded, or if the vehicle
must be scrapped, certain safety
precautions must be observed. An
authorized Kia dealer knows these
precautions and can give you the
necessary information. Failure to fol-
low these precautions and proce-
dures could increase the risk of per-
sonal injury.
Adding equipment to or modi-
fying your air bag-equipped
vehicle
If you modify your vehicle by chang-
ing your vehicle's frame, bumper sys-
tem, front end or side sheet metal or
ride height, this may affect the oper-
ation of your vehicle's air bag sys-
tem.
WARNING - Tampering
with SRS
Do not tamper with or discon-
nect SRS wiring, or other com-
ponents of the SRS system.
Doing so could result in the
accidental inflation of the air
bags or by rendering the SRS
inoperative.

Maintenance schedule
1.Select the desired engine oil (tire
rotation) maintenance schedule.
2.If finished, you can come out of the Maintenance mode by pressing the
TRIP button for more than 2 sec-
onds.

press the RESET button for more
than 1 second. The display will
change to "Engine Oil Service
Message" mode.

Checking the amount of air
conditioner refrigerant and
compressor lubricant
When the amount of refrigerant is
low, the performance of the air con-
ditioning is reduced. Overfilling also
has a negative influence on the air
conditioning system.
Therefore, if abnormal operation is
found, have the system inspected by
an authorized Kia dealer.

WARNING - AC Repair
The oil and refrigerant in your
vehicle’s air conditioning sys-
tem is under very high pressure.
If proper service procedures are
not followed an explosion may
result. To reduce the risk of seri-
ous injury or death, the air con-
ditioning system in your vehicle
should only be serviced by
trained and certified technicians.
CAUTION- AC Repair
It is important that the correcttype and amount of oil andrefrigerant is used, otherwisedamage to the vehicle mayoccur. To prevent damage, theair conditioning system in yourvehicle should only be servicedby trained and certified techni-cians.

conditioner filter inspections and

4 Adjust the volume to levels that
allow the driver to hear sounds
from outside of the vehicle. Driving
in a state where external sounds
cannot be heard may lead to acci-
dents.
Pay attention to the volume setting when turning the device on. A sud-
den output of extreme volume
upon turning the device on could
lead to hearing impairment. (Adjust
the volume to a suitable levels
before turning off the device.) Turn on the car ignition before
using the audio system. Do not
operate the audio system for long
periods of time with the ignition
turned off; such operations may lead
to battery discharge.
In case of product malfunction, please contact your place of pur-
chase or After Service center.
Placing the audio system within an electromagnetic environment may
result in noise interference.
CAUTION
Do not subject the device to severe shock or impact. Directpressure onto the front side ofthe monitor may cause damageto the LCD or touch screen.
When cleaning the device, make sure to turn off theaudio system and use a dryand smooth cloth. Never usetough materials, chemicalcloths, or solvents (alcohol,benzene, thinners, etc.) assuch materials may damagethe device panel or causecolor/quality deterioration
Do not place beverages close to the audio system. Spillingbeverages may lead to systemmalfunction.
Prevent caustic solutions such as perfume and cosmetic oilfrom contacting the dashboardbecause they may cause dam-age or discoloration.

Satellite Radio reception factors:
To receive the satellite signal, your vehi-
cle has been equipped with a satellite
radio antenna located on the roof of your
vehicle. The vehicle roof provides the
best location for an unobstructed, open
view of the sky, a requirement of a satel-
lite radio system. Like AM/FM, there are
several factors that can affect satellite
radio reception performance :
Antenna obstructions : For optimal reception performance, keep the
antenna clear of snow and ice build-up and keep luggage and other material
as far away from the antenna as possi-
ble.
Terrain: Hills, mountains, tall buildings, bridges, tunnels, freeway overpasses,
parking garages, dense tree foliage
and thunderstorms can interfere with
your reception.
SiriusXM Satellite Radio serv-
ice:
SiriusXM is a subscription-based satellite
radio service that broadcasts music,
sports, news and entertainment pro-
gramming to radio receivers, which are
available for installation in motor vehicles
or factory installed, as well as for the
home, portable and wireless devices,
and through an Internet connection on
personal computer.
Vehicles that are equipped with a factory
installed SiriusXM Satellite Radio system
include :
Hardware and an introductory trial subscription term, which begins on the
date of sale or lease of the vehicle.
For a small upgrade fee, access to SiriusXM music channels, and other
select channels over the Internet using
any computer connected to the
Internet (U.S. customers only). For information on extended subscrip-
tion terms, contact SiriusXM at 1-888-
539-7474.
