#Starting Apple CarPlay
Before using Apple CarPlay, be sure to
check the following:
Apple CarPlay support on your
iPhone
Visit the Apple homepage ( https://
www.apple.com/ios/carplay) and check
the iPhone models that support Apple
CarPlay.
Apple CarPlay and Siri activated or
updated on your iPhone
On your iPhone, ensure that Apple
CarPlay and Siri are activated. If your
iPhone does not have the functions,
update the iPhone′s operating system to
the latest version.
Start Apple CarPlay by following the steps
below:
1 Ensure that wireless
connectivity is enabled.

″ Activating wireless connectivity .″
2 Access the phone projection
devices list and select your
iPhone.
3 If your iPhone is locked, unlock
it and agree to use Apple
CarPlay.
\225When the iPhone is recognized
successfully, the Apple CarPlay
menu is activated on the All Menus
screen.
4 On the Home screen, press All
Menus > Apple CarPlay.
5 Use your iPhone′s functions,
such as calling and messaging,
on your system.
\225 Press an icon on the screen to run an
app or perform a function.
\225Press the Voice recognition button
on the steering wheel to start Siri.
\333 Note
When you are using your iPhone′s
navigation via Apple CarPlay, sounds
from both the system′s radio/media
function and the navigation will
be output through your vehicle′s
speakers. When you turn the Volume
knob while both sounds are being
output, the navigation volume is
adjusted first.

Rear view screen
When you shift to ″R″ (Reverse) while the
engine is running, the system screen will
automatically display the rear view and
the parking guides.

a a Driving direction lines (yellow). These
lines show the directions of the vehicle
according to the steering angle.
b b Neutral direction lines (blue). These
lines indicate your vehicle′s expected
path with the steering wheel in the
neutral position. It can help you
determine whether the vehicle is in
the correct position in a parking space
and prevent you from parking too
close to the next vehicle.
c c Crash warning lines (red). These lines
are to help prevent a collision.
You can also view the rear view screen by
pressing the [
] or [] button when
driving at less than 6 mph in ″D″ (Drive)
or ″N″ (Neutral). If you drive at 6 mph
or faster, the rear view screen will be
deactivated. (if equipped)

\225You can change the operation setting
for the rear view camera. On the Home
screen, press All Menus > Setup >
Advanced or Display > Extend Rear
Camera Use, and activate or deactivate
the Extend Rear Camera Use option.
If you activate the option, the rear view
screen will remain active even if you
shift to any position other than ″R″
(Reverse) after backing up. (if equipped)
\225 If an object comes too close to your
vehicle as you are parking the vehicle,
a warning beep will sound. To prevent
an accident that might result if you
do not hear the beep, you can set the
system to decrease the volume level of
any media playing automatically when
you are parking the vehicle. On the
Home screen, press All Menus > Setup
> Sound > Priority or Guidance >
Parking Safety Priority.
\225 Even when your vehicle is in ″P″ (Park),
you can check the rear view by pressing
the [
] button in your vehicle (if
equipped).

[Checking the rear top view (if
equipped)
With the rear top view feature, you can
look down at what is behind you.
On the rear view screen, press .
\225 The parking guides are displayed on the
rear top view screen.
- The parking guides indicate the space
necessary to open the tailgate of your
vehicle. It can help you see if there
is enough space to open the tailgate
after parking and if there is any
obstacle to opening it.
-An extension of your vehicle′s center
appears. It shows the path of your
vehicle′s center according to the
steering angle.
[Setting the rear view screen
(if equipped)
To change the screen settings,
press
on the rear view screen.
\225 Display Contents (if equipped): Select
what to display on the rear view screen.

and contrast of the camera screen.
Surround view monitor (if
equipped)
The surround view monitor feature
enables you to view the surroundings of
your vehicle by using multiple cameras
installed in the vehicle.

Press the [] or [] button.
\225 The front view with the surround view is
displayed on the screen.
\225The feature is activated only in the
following conditions:
- When you are driving at 6 mph or
slower, or 9 mph or slower in ″D″
(Drive), depending on the vehicle
model or specifications
-When you stop in ″D″ (Drive) or ″N″
(Neutral)

Listening to the radio
You can search for radio stations through
various search methods and listen to
them. You can also save your favorite
radio stations to the preset list.

Saving radio stations
You can save your favorite radio stations
and listen to them by selecting from the
preset list.
Press the star icon next to the
current radio station information.
\225Alternatively, press and hold an empty
slot on the preset list (if equipped).
\225You can also press Menu > Station List
and save radio stations from the list of
available radio stations.

\225You can save up to 40 radio stations.
\225If you select a slot that is already filled,
the station will be replaced by the
station you are listening to (if equipped).
Listening to saved radio
stations
On the radio screen, select one of
the radio stations from the preset
list.
\225Alternatively, use the Search lever/
button on the steering wheel to scroll
through the radio stations on the preset
list.
Rearranging the preset list
(if equipped)
1 On the radio screen, press
Menu > Reorder Presets .
2 Press next to the radio
station you want to move and
drag it to a desired location.
\225Your changes will be applied to the
preset list immediately.
3 Press to finish.
Deleting saved radio
stations
1 On the radio screen, press
Menu > Delete Presets.
2 Select the radio station you
want to delete and press
Delete > Yes .
\225The selected radio station will be
deleted from the preset list.

If you are listening to one of the saved
radio stations, press the red star icon next
to the current radio station information to
delete the radio station.

[Starting the USB player
1 Connect your USB device to the
USB port in the vehicle.
\225Playback may start immediately
depending on the device that you
connect to the system.
2 Press All Menus > Media on
the Home screen, or press the
Media button on the control
panel.
\225 The media player is displayed in full
screen.
\225If you have multiple media storage
devices, press the Media button on
the control panel again and press
USB Music on the media selection
window.

a USB hub or an extension cable, the

in a standard format.

not be recognized or work correctly:

capacity, or the format of files, USB
recognition time may be longer.

USB devices may not support charging

[Controlling the USB player
Use the buttons on the media player
screen to control the music playback.
Pausing/Resuming playback
Press to pause music playback. Press
to resume playback.
Rewinding/Fast forwarding
Press and hold or to rewind or
fast forward the song.
\225 Alternatively, use the Search backward
button (SEEK) or the Search forward
button (TRACK) on the control panel.
\225You can also use the Search lever/
button on the steering wheel.
\225You can change the playback position
by pressing the progress bar on the
screen. Music will begin playing from
the selected location.

Restarting the current playback
After three seconds of playback have
elapsed, press
to restart the current
song.
\225Alternatively, use the Search backward
button (SEEK) on the control panel.

Playing the previous or next song
Press within the first three seconds
of the current song to play the previous
song. After three seconds of playback
have elapsed, press
twice. Press
to play the next song.

button (SEEK) or the Search forward
button (TRACK) on the control panel.
\225You can also use the Search lever/
button on the steering wheel.
\225On the control panel, turn the Search
knob (TUNE FILE) to find the desired
song and press the knob within five
seconds to play the file. If no control
is detected within five seconds, the
search is canceled and the screen
displays information about the song
currently playing.
Playing repeatedly
Press to play a file on repeat.
\225Each time you press the button, the
corresponding mode icon appears on
the button.

Playing in random order
Press to shuffle the play order.
Hiding the current file
Press Menu > Hide Current File to
hide the currently playing file from
the system. The file is moved to the
″Hidden_″ folder.
