INSTRUMENT CLUSTER

SMART, COMFORT, SPORT, CUSTOM* and ECO drive modes may be changed according to the driver ’s preference or road conditions . To change the drive mode, rotate the DRIVE MODE knob A .
SMART Mode – When SMART mode is selected, the system automatically selects the drive mode best suited to the current driving style . A SMART indicator will illuminate on the instrument cluster . The color of the SMART indicator (green, white, red) depends on the current driving style . To deactivate, rotate the DRIVE MODE knob A again to change the selection to another setting .
COMFORT Mode – The system’s default mode is COMFORT mode (unless ECO Mode is selected) and is not displayed on the instrument cluster nor the audio system’s screen .
SPORT Mode – An orange SPORT indicator will illuminate on the instrument cluster when selected . To deactivate, rotate the DRIVE MODE knob A again to change the selection to another setting .
CUSTOM Mode – When CUSTOM mode is selected, a graphic of the Stinger will display . The CUSTOM Mode allows the driver to mix aspects of other driving modes to make a customized mode .
ECO Mode – A green ECO indicator will illuminate on the instrument cluster . To deactivate, rotate the DRIVE MODE knob A again to change the selection to another setting .

REMINDERS:
•When ECO mode is selected, the following may occur to help improve fuel economy:
–Acceleration may be slightly reduced even when the accelerator is fully depressed
–Air conditioner per formance may be limited
–
Shift pat tern of the automatic transmission may change
–Engine noise may increase
–
System’s power will be limited when driving uphill
•When SPORT mode is selected, fuel economy may decrease
•
Steering effor t may be slightly increased in Spor t mode
•
When the vehicle is placed in ECO mode, it will remain in ECO mode even when the ignition is cycled . SPORT mode will default to NORMAL mode after the ignition is cycled

Leading Vehicle Departure Alert (LVDA) Video

Leading Vehicle Departure Alert is a feature part of Driver Attention Warning, and is designed to inform the driver when the vehicle in front starts moving or departs from a stop . When Driver Attention Warning is on, your vehicle is
stopped and detects that the leading vehicle is driving away, DAW sounds an alert to let you know you can start driving . If no action is taken after the vehicle in front drives away, then a message A will appear on the Instrument Cluster LCD .
LVDA Settings:
•LVDA can be turned on/off by going to the User Settings* in the Instrument Cluster or the Vehicle Settings* in the Infotainment System
•Only adjust settings when the vehicle is at a standstill, gear shift is in Park and the ignition is turned on or the Engine Start/Stop button* in the
ON position
•To access User settings* [gear icon] in the Instrument Cluster - Press the Mode button B on the Steering Wheel to toggle to User Settings . Press the OK button C up/down to toggle to Driver Assistance, then select Leading Vehicle Departure Alert

RCCA is designed to detect vehicles approaching from the left and right side while your vehicle is reversing, and warn the driver that a collision is imminent with a warning message and an audible warning . To help prevent
collision, braking assist may be applied .
When the rear-corner radar sensors detect approaching vehicles from the rear left or rear right side of the vehicle A, RCCA will sound a warning, the warning indicators on the outside rearview mirror will illuminate and a message will appear on the Instrument Cluster LCD B and the audio head unit .* If RCCA detects that the collision risk has increased, RCCA automatically applies the brakes to reduce your speed, potentially helping to minimize the effects of a possible collision .
RCCA is designed to operate under the following conditions:
•When the gear shift is in Reverse
•When the vehicle is moving slower than 5 mph
RCCA Settings:
•RCCA can be turned on/off by going to the User Settings* in the Instrument Cluster or the Vehicle Settings* in the Infotainment System
•Only adjust settings when the vehicle is at a standstill, gear shift is in Park and the ignition is turned on or the Engine Start/Stop button* in the ON position

•Warning Timing – When in the Driver Assistance menu, select Warning Timing and one of the following:

–Later: Reduces the amount of distance between the vehicles before the initial warning occurs

REMINDERS:

If Smar t Key fob bat ter y is dead, you can still star t the engine by pressing the ENGINE START/STOP but ton with the Lock-but ton end of the Smar t Key . The Smar t Key must contact the ENGINE START/STOP but ton directly, at a right angle
•
In an emergency situation while the vehicle is in motion, you are able to turn the engine off and to the ACC position by pressing the ENGINE START/ STOP button for more than 2 seconds or 3 times successively within 3 seconds
•
With the engine off, hydraulic power assist for steering and braking will be disabled and the vehicle will be more dif ficult to control
•To use electrical accessories:
–
ACC position

When in the OFF position and without depressing the brake pedal, press the ENGINE START/STOP but ton once .
–ON position
-When already in the ACC position and without depressing the brake pedal, press the ENGINE START/STOP but ton again .

Auto Rain Sensing
The rain sensor located on the upper end of the windshield glass is designed to sense the amount of rainfall and control the wiping cycle for the proper interval . The more it rains, the faster the wiper operates . When the rain stops, the wiper stops .
To turn ON the auto rain sensing wipers, move lever up/down to AUTO .
To adjust the auto rain sensing wiper speed setting, move the speed control switch A up/down .

When the Engine Star t/Stop but ton is in the ON position and the wiper switch is in AUTO mode, the wiper will automatically operate once to per form a self-check of the system

Set the wiper to the OFF position when the wiper is not in use

If going through a car wash, remind the at tendant to keep the vehicle in Neutral (N) and keep the engine running . Also, disable the Smar t Power Liftgate* lid control, turn off the auto rain sensing wipers and fold in the mirrors

Moving lever to HI increases Intermit tent wipe frequency and wipe speed . Moving lever to LO decreases frequency of wipes
•
Pressing but ton A up increases Intermit tent wipe frequency and wipe speed . Pressing but ton down decreases frequency of wipes

Lifting Wipers (Wiper Service Mode)
To lift the windshield wipers to clean windshield, inspect or replace wiper blades or raise wipers in snow/ice conditions without damaging the hood, the blades need to be moved to the service position B .
With the ignition ON, turn the ignition OFF, and within 20 seconds move the wiper switch to the MIST position C and hold the switch for more than two seconds until the wiper blade is in the fully up position .
To return wipers to normal position, turn the ignition ON, then activate MIST .See section 4 in the Owner’s Manual for more information .

Adjust the steering wheel angle A and position B with the switch C on the steering column . Move the steering wheel so it points towards your chest, not toward your face . Make sure you can see the instrument panel
warning lights and gauges .
After adjusting, push the steering wheel both up and down to be certain it is locked in position . Always adjust the position of the steering wheel before driving .
