If you are leaving your vehicle dor-
mant for more than 21 days, you may
want to take these steps to protect
your battery.
1. Disconnect the negative cable from
the battery.
NOTE:
When the negative cable is discon-
nected from the battery, and the
trunk lid is completely closed, it isnecessary to pull the emergency
release lever of the trunk latching
mechanism to open it again. To
access the trunk and operate the
lever, fold the rear seatbacks.
