In the Eco drive mode, the air condi-
tioning system is controlled as follows
to prioritize fuel efficiency:
• Engine speed and compressor opera-
tion controlled to restrict heating/
cooling capacity
• Fan speed restricted when automatic
mode is selected
To improve air conditioning perfor-
mance, perform the following opera-
tions:
• Adjust the fan speed and temperature
• Turn off Eco drive mode (refer to
“Owner’s Manual”.)
• Customize the air conditioning con-
trol of Eco drive mode. (refer to
“Owner’s Manual”.)
Customization
• The air conditioning control restric-
tion of Eco drive mode can be
changed to the same setting as that
used in normal drive mode. For
details, refer to “Owner’s Manual”.
• Changing the air conditioning restric-
tion will slightly reduce the Eco drive
mode’s fuel efficiency when com-
pared to before the change was made.Unlocking the vehicle using an elec-
tronic key and turning the “POWER”
switch to ON mode will recall that
key’s registered air conditioning set-
tings.
When the “POWER” switch is turned
off, the current air conditioning settings
will automatically be registered to the
electronic key that was used to unlock
the vehicle. The system may not oper-
ate correctly if more than 1 electronic
key is in the vicinity or if the smart
entry & start system is used to unlock a
passenger door.
Settings for the electronic key and the
corresponding door can be changed.
Contact your Lexus dealer.

Registered POIs, registered names in
the phonebook etc., can be said in the
place of the “ ” next to the com-
mands. (See page 328.)
For example: Say “Find nearby all
restaurant”, “Call John” etc.
3Say the command displayed on the
screen.
If a desired outcome is not shown, or if
no selections are available, perform one
of the following to return to the previ-
ous screen:
• Say “Go back”
• Select “Go back”
To cancel voice recognition, select
“Cancel”, or press and hold the talk
switch.
Saying “Help” prompts voice guid-
ance to offer examples of commands
and operation methods.
INFORMATION
If the navigation system does not
respond or the confirmation screen
does not disappear, press the talk
switch and try again.
If a speech command cannot be rec-
ognized within 6 seconds, voice guid-
ance will say “Pardon?” (“Command
not recognized.” will be displayed on
the screen) and speech command
reception will restart.
If a speech command cannot be rec-
ognized 2 consecutive times, the
speech command guidance system
will say “Paused. To restart voice rec-
ognition, push the talk switch. To can-
cel voice recognition, push and hold
the talk switch.”. Then voice recogni-
tion will be canceled.
The voice recognition prompt can be
set to on or off when “Voice Prompts”
is selected. This setting can also be
changed on the “Voice settings”
screen. (See page 73.)
When “Voice Prompts” is selected,
voice recognition will be temporarily
suspended. Press the talk switch
again.
Voice guidance can be canceled by
setting voice prompts to off. Use this
setting when it is desirable to say a
command immediately after pressing
the talk switch and hearing a beep.

3Say “” or “ & street name>”.
Say the desired city name or city name
and street name that belongs to the set
country in the place of the “<>”.
Not just the city name, but the city
name and street name can be said at the
same time.
If both are said at the same time and the
street name is not unique, select the
appropriate number from the displayed
address list.
4Say “”.
Say the desired full street name that
belongs to the set country in the place
of the “<>”.
If only the city name was said at step 3,
say the street name.
If the street name is not unique, select
the appropriate number from the dis-
played address list.
5Say “”.
Say the desired number in the place of
the “<>”.
It is possible to only say the numbers.
For example, 1,2,3,4 etc. (It is not pos-
sible to say cardinals.)
Inputting the house number can be
skipped.
6Say “Enter”.
A map corresponding to the decided
address is displayed. To set the dis-
played point as a destination, say
“Enter”.
If multiple points exist, the next point
can be displayed by saying “Next”.
INFORMATION
To change the country to be searched,
say “Change country” when the
screen to say the city name is dis-
played and the screen will change to
the country input screen.
The house number voice recognition
conditions are outlined below:
• Numerals: 10 digits or less
• Cardinals cannot be recognized.
• Numerals are recognized as single
digits only.

A passcode is not required for SSP
(Secure Simple Pairing) compatible
Bluetooth
® devices. Depending on the
type of Bluetooth® DUN compatible
cellular phone being connected, a mes-
sage confirming registration may be
displayed on the “Connect Bluetooth*”
screen. Respond and operate the
Bluetooth
® DUN compatible cellular
phone according to the confirmation
message.
To cancel the registration, select “Can-
cel”.
6When the connection is completed,
this screen is displayed.
When using the same device, it is not
necessary to register it again.
When this screen is displayed, follow
the guidance on the screen to try
again.When another Bluetooth
® device is
connected
When another Bluetooth® device is
currently connected, this screen is dis-
played.
To disconnect the Bluetooth
® device,
select “Yes”.
When 5 Bluetooth® devices have al-
ready been registered
