1Press the “MENU” button on the
Remote Touch. (See “Remote
Touch” on page 12.)
2Select “Setup” on the “Menu”
screen.
3Select “Vehicle” on the “Setup”
screen.
4Select “Vehicle customization”.
5Select the desired items to be set.
For a list of the settings that can be
changed, please refer to “Owner’s
Manual”.
6After changing the settings, select
“OK”. A message indicating that the
settings are being saved will appear.
Do not perform any other operations
while this message is displayed.
VEHICLE CUSTOMIZATION
Vehicle settings can be changed.
CAUTION
When performing the customization
procedure, ensure that there is suffi-
cient ventilation in the vehicle and
surrounding area. If there is insuffi-
cient ventilation, exhaust gases may
collect and enter the vehicle. Exhaust
gases include harmful carbon monox-
ide (CO) and inhaling them may lead
to death or a serious health hazard.
INFORMATION
To avoid discharging the 12-volt bat-
tery, perform the customization pro-
cedure with the hybrid system
operating.

An antenna for the Bluetooth® connection is built in the instru-
ment panel. The condition of the Bluetooth® connection may
deteriorate and the system may not function when a Bluetooth®
phone is used in the following conditions and/or places:
The cellular phone is obstructed by certain objects (such as
when it is behind the seat or in the glove box and console
box).
The cellular phone touches or is covered with metal materi-
als.
Leave the Bluetooth
® phone in a place where the condition of
the Bluetooth® connection is good.
When the cellular phone is not connected, “No connect” is dis-
played.

This is not displayed when the Bluetooth® is not connected.
The amount displayed does not always correspond with the
amount displayed on the cellular phone. The amount of battery

6. iPod OPERATION
1Press the lid, open the cover and con-
nect iPod using an iPod cable.
Turn on the power of the iPod if it is not
turned on.
Connecting an iPod enables users to
enjoy music from the vehicle speak-
ers.
CAUTION
Do not operate the player’s controls
or connect iPod while driving.
NOTICE
Depending on the size and shape of
the iPod that is connected to the sys-
tem, the lid may not close fully. In
this case, do not forcibly close the lid
as this may damage the iPod or the
terminal, etc.
Do not leave your portable player in
the car. In particular, high tempera-
tures inside the vehicle may damage
the portable player.
Do not push down on or apply unnec-
essary pressure to the portable player
while it is connected as this may dam-
age the portable player or its terminal.
Do not insert foreign objects into the
port as this may damage the portable
player or its terminal.
INFORMATION
When an iPod is connected using a
genuine iPod cable, the iPod starts
charging its battery.

The portable player will be automati-
cally connected under the following
conditions:
• The “POWER” switch is in either
ACCESSORY or ON mode.
• When “Bluetooth* power” is
switched from off to on.
• When the portable player is discon-
nected for some reason.

Remaining charge is not displayed
while the Bluetooth® device is con-

the vehicle, remove the Bluetooth

audio information from the system.

CONNECTING A Bluetooth®
AUDIO PLAYER
To use the Bluetooth® audio system,
it is necessary to register a portable
player with the system. Once the por-
table player has been registered, it is
possible to listen to the music.
Once the portable player has been
registered, it is possible to listen to
music through the navigation sys-
tem. (See “REGISTERING A
Bluetooth
® DEVICE” on page 219.)
