Garage door opener
■Programming the HomeLink®
The HomeLink® wireless control system in your ve hicle has 3 buttons which can be pro-
grammed to operate 3 different devices. Refe r to the programming methods on the follow-
ing pages to determine the method wh ich is appropriate for the device.

Illuminates while HomeLink
® is oper-
ating.
Buttons
Steps through must be performed within 60 seconds, otherwise the indicator light
will stop flashing and programming will not be able to be completed.
Press and release the HomeLink
® button you want to program and check that the
HomeLink
® indicator light flashes (orange).
Point the remote control transmitter for
the device at the rear view mirror, 1 to 3
in. (25 to 75 mm) from the Home-
Link
® buttons.
Keep the HomeLink
® indicator light
in view while programming.
Program a device. Programming a device other than
an entry gate (for U.S.A. owners)
Press and hold the handheld transmit-
ter button until the HomeLink
® indica-
tor light changes from slowly flashing
orange to rapidly flashing green (roll-
ing code) or continuously lit green
(fixed code), then release the button.
The garage door opener can be programmed to operate ga rage doors, gates, entry
doors, door locks, home lighting systems, security systems, and other devices.

Trunk
■Opening the trunk
● From inside the vehicle
Press the opener switch.If the vehicle is equipped with a power
trunk opener and closer, the trunk lid
automatically opens fully
Turn the main switch in the glove box off to
disable the trunk opener. On

The trunk lid cannot be opened even with
the wireless remote control or the trunk
release button.
● From outside the vehicle
• Smart access system wi th push-button start
While carrying the electronic key, press the
button on the trunk lid.When all the doors are unlocked with
the power door lock system, the trunk
can be opened without carrying the
electronic key.
If the vehicle is equipped with power
trunk opener and closer, the trunk lid
automatically opens fully.
• Wireless remote control Press and hold the switchIf the vehicle is equipped with a power
trunk opener and closer, the trunk lid
automatically opens fully.
