■Opening the trunk
● From inside the vehicle
Press the opener switch.If the vehicle is equipped with a power
trunk opener and closer, the trunk lid
automatically opens fully

■Trunk easy closer (vehicles with power trunk opener and closer)
In the event that the trunk lid is left slight ly open, the trunk easy closer will automatically
close it to the fully closed position.
■ Trunk closer switch (vehicles with power trunk opener and closer)
Pressing the switch closes the trunk lid
automatically. (A buzzer sounds.)
Pressing the switch while the trunk lid is
closing opens the trunk lid again.

Floor mat
Use only floor mats designed specifically for vehicles of the same model and model year as
your vehicle. Fix them securely in place onto the carpet.Insert the retaining hooks (clips) into
the floor mat eyelets.
Turn the upper knob of each retaining
hook (clip) to secure the floor mats in
place.

The shape of the retaining hooks (clips) may di ffer from that shown in the illustration.

■When installing the driver’s floor mat
Do not use floor mats designed for other mo dels or different model year vehicles, even
if they are Lexus Genuine floor mats.
Only use floor mats designed for the driver’s seat.
Always install the floor mat securely using the retaining hooks (clips) provided.
Do not use two or more floor mats on top of each other.
Do not place the floor mat bo ttom-side up or upside-down.

*: It also comes on due to natural causes such as natural air leaks and tire inflation pressure changes caused by temperature. Adjust the tire inflation pressure to the specified level.
The light will turn off after a few minutes. In case the light does not turn off even if the tire
inflation pressure is adjusted, have th e system checked by your Lexus dealer.

If the electronic key does not operate properly
■Unlocking and locking the doors
Use the mechanical key in order to perform
the following operations:
Locks all the doors
Closes the windows and moon roof

(turn and hold)
Unlocks the door
Turning the key rearward unlocks the
driver’s door. Turning the key once
again within 5 seconds unlocks the
other doors.
Opens the windows and moon roof

■ Unlocking the trunk
Turn the mechanical key clockwise to open.

■Starting the engine
Ensure that the shift lever is in P and
depress the brake pedal.
Touch the Lexus emblem side of the
electronic key to the “START STOP
ENGINE” switch.
The “START STOP ENGINE” switch
will turn to IGNITION ON mode.
When the smart access system with
push-button start is deactivated in cus-
tomization setting, the “START STOP
ENGINE” switch will turn to ACCES-
SORY mode.
Firmly depress the brake pedal and
check that is shown on the
multi-information display.
Press the “START STOP ENGINE”
switch.
In the event that the engine still cannot be started, contact your Lexus dealer.
If the engine doesn’t start
Make sure that the correct operating procedures have been followed.
Make sure that the brake pedal is firmly
depressed when attempting to start the
engine. (P.22)

If the electronic key battery becomes depleted, replace it with a new battery. For instruc-
tions on replacing the battery, refer to the Ow ner’s Manual. If you need further assistance,
contact your Lexus dealer.
