Garage Door Opener
The garage door opener (HomeLink® Universal Transceiver) is manufactured under
license from HomeLink
®.
■ Programming the HomeLink®
The HomeLink® compatible transceiver in your vehicle has 3 buttons which can be pro-
grammed to operate 3 different devices. Refer to the programming method below
appropriate for the device.

doors, door locks, home lighting systems, security systems, and other devices.

Door Locks
■Door lock switch
Locks all the doors
Unlocks all the doors
■Inside lock button
Locks the door
Unlocks the door
The front doors can be opened by pull-
ing the inside handle even if the lock
buttons are in the lock position.
The vehicle can be locked and unlocked using the entry function, wireless remote control
or door lock switches.

■Rear door child-protector lock
The door cannot be opened from inside the
vehicle when the lock is set.

These locks can be set to prevent chil-
dren from opening the rear doors.
Push down on each rear door switch to
lock both rear doors.

Trunk
■Opening the trunk
● From inside the vehicle
Press the opener switch.If the vehicle is equipped with a power
trunk opener and closer, the trunk lid
automatically opens fully
Turn the main switch in the glove box off to
disable the trunk opener. On

The trunk lid cannot be opened even with
the wireless remote control or the trunk
release button.
● From outside the vehicle
• Trunk release button
While carrying the electronic key, press the
button on the trunk lid.When all the doors are unlocked with
the power door lock system, the trunk
can be opened without carrying the
electronic key.

If the electronic key does not operate properly
■Unlocking and locking the doors
Use the mechanical key ( →P.1 4 ) i n o r d e r t o
perform the following operations:
Locks all the doors
Closes the windows and moon roof

(turn and hold)
Unlocks the door
Turning the key rearward unlocks the
driver’s door. Turning the key once
again within 5 seconds unlocks the
other doors.
Opens the windows and moon roof

■ Unlocking the trunk
Turn the mechanical key clockwise to open.
