2. MOBILE ASSISTANT OPERATION
1. MOBILE ASSISTANT
1Press and hold this switch until you hear
the beeps.

2The Mobile Assistant can be used only
when the “Mobile Assistance” screen is
displayed.
z To cancel the Mobile Assistant, select
“Cancel” , or press and hold the on the
steering wheel.
z To restart the Mobile Assistant for addi-
tional commands, press the on the
steering wheel.
• Mobile Assistant can only be restarted
after the system responds to a voice com-
mand.
• After some phone and music commands, the Mobile Assistant feature will automat-
ically end to complete the requested
action.
The Mobile Assistant feature will
activate Apple’s Siri® Eyes Free mode
via the steering wheel switches. To
operate the Mobile Assistant, a
compatible cellular phone must be
registered and connected to this system
via Bluetooth
®. ( → P.44.)
zThe volume of the Mobile Assistant can
be adjusted using the “PWR·VOL” knob
or steering wheel volume control
switches. The Mobile Assistant and
phone call volumes are synchronized.

■BUZZER OPERATION AND
DISTANCE TO AN OBSTACLE
zThe buzzer beeps faster as the vehicle
approaches an obstacle.
When the vehicle comes within the follow-
ing distance of the obstacle, the buzzer
sounds continuously:
• Front center sensors (Except for GS F):
Approximately 1.0ft. (30cm)
• Corner sensors: Approximately 1.0 ft. (30 cm)
• Rear center sensors: Approximately 1.1 ft. (35 cm)
z When 2 or more obstacles are detected
simultaneously, the buzzer system
responds to the nearest obstacle. If one or
both come within the above distances, the
beep will repeat a long tone, followed by
fast beeps.
Approximately 3.3 ft. (100 cm)*
Approximately 4.9 ft. (150 cm)
Approximately 2.0 ft. (60 cm)
zThe diagram shows the detection range of
the sensors. Note that the sensors cannot
detect obstacles that are extremely close to
the vehicle.
z The range of the sensors may change
depending on the shape of the object etc.

operating.

zFront center sensors:
• The engine switch is in IGNI-
TION ON mode.
• The shift lever is in a position other than P or R.
• The vehicle speed is less than about 6mph (10 km/h).
z Front corner sensors:
• The engine switch is in IGNI-
TION ON mode.
• The shift lever is in a position other than P.
• The vehicle speed is less than about 6mph (10 km/h).
z Rear corner and rear center sensors:
• The engine switch is in IGNI-
TION ON mode.
• The shift lever is in R. z
There is dirt, snow or ice on the sensor.
(Wiping the sensors will resolve this prob-
lem.)
z The sensor is frozen. (Thawing the area will
resolve this problem.)
In especially cold weather, if a sensor is fro-
zen the screen may show an abnormal dis-
play, or obstacles may not be detected.
z The sensor is covered in any way.
z The vehicle is leaning considerably to one
side.
z On an extremely bumpy road, on an
incline, on gravel, or on grass.
z The vicinity of the vehicle is noisy due to
vehicle horns, motorcycle engines, air
brakes of large vehicles, or other loud
noises producing ultrasonic waves.
z There is another vehicle equipped with
parking assist sensors in the vicinity.
z The sensor is coated with a sheet of spray
or heavy rain.
z The vehicle is equipped with a fender pole
or wireless antenna.
z Towing eyelets are installed.

DISPLAY
When an obstacle is detected while the
rear view monitor system, is in use, the
warning indicator will appear in the top
right of the screen even if the display set-
ting has been set to off.
SENSOR DETECTION
INFORMATION
The sensor’s detection areas are limited
to the areas around the vehicle’s
bumpers.
Certain vehicle conditions and the sur-
rounding environment may affect the
ability of the sensor to correctly detect
obstacles. Particular instances where
this may occur are listed below.

●When using the intuitive parking assist
Observe the following precautions.
Failing to do so may result in the vehicle
being unable to be driven safely and pos-
sibly cause an accident.
• Do not use the sensor at speeds in excess of 6 mph (10 km/h).
• The sensors’ detection areas and reac- tion times are limited. When moving
forward or reversing, check the areas
surrounding the vehicle (especially the
sides of the vehicle) for safety, and drive
slowly, using the brake to control the
vehicle’s speed.
• Do not install accessories within the sensors’ detection areas.
NOTICE
●When using intuitive parking assist-sen-
sor
In the following situations, the system may
not function correctly due to a sensor
malfunction etc. Have the vehicle
checked by your Lexus dealer.
• The intuitive parking assist operation display flashes, and a beep sounds when
no obstacles are detected.
• If the area around a sensor collides with something, or is subjected to strong
impact.
• If the bumper collides with something.
• If the display shows continuously with- out a beep (except when mute is turned
on).
• If a display error occurs, first check the sensor.
If the error occurs even if there is no ice,
snow or mud on the sensor, it is likely
that the sensor is malfunctioning.
●Notes when washing the vehicle
Do not apply intensive bursts of water or
steam to the sensor area.
Doing so may result in the sensor mal-
functioning.

3. TYPE B: FUNCTION ACHIEVED BY USING DCM AND THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM
The functionality of Lexus Enform Safety Connect, Lexus Enform Destinations, and
Lexus Insider is made possible through the shared work of the DCM and the naviga-
tion system.
These are subscription-based telematics services that use Global Positioning System
(GPS) data and embedded cellular technology to provide safety and security as well
as convenience features.
These services are available by subscription on select, telematics hardware-equipped
vehicles and supported by Lexus’ designated response center, which operates 24
hours a day, 7 days a week.

INFORMATION
●Exposure to radio frequency signals:
The Lexus Enform system installed in
your vehicle includes a low power radio
transmitter and receiver. The system
receives and also sends out radio fre-
quency (RF) signals.
● In August 1996, the Federal Communi-
cations Commission (FCC) adopted RF
exposure guidelines with safety levels for
mobile wireless phones. Those guidelines
are consistent with the safety standards
previously set by both U.S. and interna-
tional standards bodies.
• ANSI (American National Standards
Institute) C95.1 [1992]
• NCRP (National Council on Radiation Protection and Measurement) Report
86 [1986]
• ICNIRP (International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection)
[1996]
● These standards are based on compre-
hensive and periodic evaluations of the
relevant scientific literature. Over 120
scientists, engineers, and physicians from
universities, government health agen-
cies, and industry reviewed the available
body of research to develop the ANSI
Standard (C95.1).
● The design of Lexus Enform system com-
plies with the FCC guidelines in addition
to those standards.
INFORMATION
●Contact with the Lexus response center
is dependent upon the telematics device
being in operative condition, cellular con-
nection availability, navigation map data,
and GPS satellite signal reception, which
can limit the ability to reach the response
center or receive support. Enrollment
and Telematics Subscription Service
Agreement required. A variety of sub-
scription terms are available; charges
vary by subscription term selected.
● The Lexus response center offers sup-
port in multiple languages.
● Select Lexus Enform Safety Connect-
subscribed vehicles are capable of com-
municating vehicle information. Please
see the terms and conditions for addi-
tional details.
Owners who do not wish to have their
vehicle transmit this information can opt
out at the time of enrollment or by calling
1-800-255-3987 and following the
prompts for Lexus Enform Safety Con-
nect.
● For further details about the service, con-
tact your Lexus dealer.
● Lexus Enform functions are not subject to
section 255 of the Telecommunications
Act and the system is not TTY compati-
ble.

4. LEXUS Enform Destinations
1Press the “MAP” button on the Remote
Touch.
2Select “Dest.” .

4When an agent comes on the line, tell
the agent the address, business name,
or the type of POI or service.
zTo adjust the call volume, select “-” or “+”,
or use the volume switch on the steering
wheel during the call.
z To hang up the phone, select “Disconnect”
or press the switch on the steering
wheel.
5After the agent helps you determine
your location of choice, this screen is
displayed. Select the screen button of
the desired action.
Destination Assist
Destinations provide you with live assis-
tance for finding destinations via the
Lexus response center. You can request
either a specific business, address, or
ask for help locating your desired desti-
nation by category, such as restaurants,
gas stations, shopping centers or other
Points of Interest (POI).
After you tell the agent your choice of
destination, its coordinates are sent
wirelessly to your vehicle’s navigation
system.
