Engine coolant temperature gauge
Displays the engine coolant temperature
Tachometer/Hybrid System Indicator
Tachometer: Displays the engine speed in revolutions per minute.
Hybrid System Indicator: Displays hybrid system outp ut or regeneration level (P. 108)
Outside temperature
Displays the outside temperature within the range of -40C (-40F) to 50C (122 F). Low outside temperature indicator comes on when the ambient temperature
is 3 C (37F) or lower.
Clock
Time displayed is linked to the analog clock on the instrument panel. (P. 378)
Speedometer
Displays the vehicle speed
Fuel gauge
Displays the quantity of fuel remaining in the tank
Multi-information display
Presents the driver with a variety of driving-related data (P. 111)
Displays warning messages in case of a malfunction (P. 466)
Odometer, trip meter, maintenance required information and speed warning
display
Odometer: Displays the total distance the vehicle has been driven
Trip meter:
Displays the distance the vehicle has been driven since the meter was last reset. Trip meters “A” and “B” can be used to record and display different distances inde-pendently.
Maintenance required information: • Displays the maintenance required information when the power switch is inON mode.
• It can be reset from of the multi-information display. ( P. 111)
Speed warning:
Displays a warning when the speed set in of the multi-information display is exceeded. ( P. 562)
Shift position and shift range
Displays the selected shift position or selected shift range (P. 224)

■Tachometer
Hybrid System Indicator switches to the tach ometer when driving mode is in sport mode. The settings of the tachometer display can be changed on the multi-information display.

■Engine speed
On hybrid vehicles, engine speed is precis ely controlled in order to help improve fuel
efficiency and reduce exhaust emissions etc. There are times when the engine speed that is displayed may differ even when vehicleoperation and driving conditions are the same.
■Outside temperature display
●In the following situations, the correct outside temperature may not be displayed, or thedisplay may take longer than normal to change.
• When stopped, or driving at low sp eeds (less than 20 km/h [12 mph]) • When the outside temperature has changed suddenly (at the entrance/exit of agarage, tunnel, etc.)
• When the vehicle is parked in direct sunlight
●When “--” or “E” is displayed, the system may be malfunctioning.
Take your vehicle to any authorized Lexus re tailer or Lexus authorized repairer, or any reliable repairer.
■Pop-up display
In some situations, a pop-up display will be temporarily displayed on the multi-informa- tion display or the odometer/trip meter/ maintenance required information screen. The pop-up display function can be set on/off. ( P. 563)
■Liquid crystal display
Small spots or light spots may appear on the display. This phenomenon is characteristic
of liquid crystal displays, and there is no problem continuing to use the display.

The meter display can be customized on the multi-information display.

If the screen shown to the right is displayed when trying to change the time display method
through ( P. 111) on the multi-informa-
tion display, the system may be malfunctioning.
Have the vehicle inspected by any authorized
Lexus retailer or Lexus authorized repairer, or any reliable repairer immediately.

A blank screen is displayed

wise until it stops.
■Manual operation of the parking brake
The parking brake cannot be set manually.

■When releasing the parking brake manually
●Shift the shift lever to P, turn the power switch off and chock the tires. Failure to do so may cause the vehicle to move, resulting in an accident.
●Turn the power switch off and check that the parking brake indicator is off. Failure todo so may cause the system to operate and turn the inserted parking brake releasetool, resulting in an injury.

If the electronic key does not operate properly
■Doors
Use the mechanical key ( P. 135)
in order to perform the following
operations:
Locks all the doors
Closes the windows and moon
roof (turn and hold)*
Unlocks all the doors
Opens the windows and moon
roof (turn and hold)*
*: This setting must be customized at any authorized Lexus retailer or Lexus autho-
rized repairer, or any reliable repairer.
■Trunk
Turn the mechanical key clockwise
to open.
If communication between the electronic key and vehicle is interrupted
( P. 155) or the electronic key cannot be used because the battery is
depleted, the smart entry & start system and wireless remote control can-
not be used. In such cases, the d oors and trunk can be opened and the
hybrid system can be started by following the procedure below.
Locking and unlocking the doors, unlocking the trunk and key linked
