Adjust the angle of the seatback so
that you are sitting straight up and so
that you do not have to lean forward
to steer. (P. 141)
Adjust the seat so that you can
depress the pedals fully and so that
your arms bend slightly at the elbow
when gripping the steering wheel.

Lock the head restraint in place with the center of the head restraint closest to

Make sure that all occupants are wearing their seat belts before driving the vehi-

Use a child restraint system appropriate for the child until the child becomes

Warning lights and indicators
Except F SPORT models
F SPORT models
The warning lights and indicators on the instrument cluster, center panel and
outside rear view mirrors inform the driv er of the status of the vehicle’s vari-
ous systems.
For the purpose of explanation, the foll owing illustrations display all warning
lights and indicators illuminated.

2. Instrument cluster
*1: These lights turn on when the power switch is turned to ON mode to indicate that asystem check is being performed. They will turn off after the “READY” indicator turns
on. There may be a malfunction in a system if a light does not come on, or turn off.
Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer.
*2: These lights turn on when the power switch is turned to ON mode to indicate that a system check is being performed. They will turn off after the hybrid system is on, or
after a few seconds. There may be a malfunction in a system if a light does not come
on, or turn off. Have the vehicl e inspected by your Lexus dealer.
*3: The light flashes to indicate a malfunction.
*4:F SPORT models

*2: These lights turn on when the power switch is turned to ON mode to indicate that asystem check is being performed. They will turn off after the hybrid system is on, or
after a few seconds. There may be a malfunction in a system if a light does not come
on, or turn off. Have the vehicl e inspected by your Lexus dealer.
*3: These lights turn on when the power switch is turned to ON mode to indicate that a
system check is being performed. They will turn off after the “READY” indicator turns

*4: The light flashes to indicate that the system is operating.
*5: The light turns on when the system is turned off.
*6: In order to confirm operation, the BSM outside rear view mirror indicators illuminate in the following situations:
• When the power switch is in ON mode , the BSM function is enabled on of
the multi-information display
• When the BSM function is enabled on of the multi-information display, the
power switch is turned to ON mode.
If the system is functioning correctly, the BSM outside rear view mirror indicators will
turn off after a few seconds.
If the BSM outside rear view mirror indica tors do not illuminate or do not turn off,
there may be a malfunction in the system.
If this occurs, have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer.
*7: This light illuminates on the outside rear view mirrors.
*8: This light illuminates on the center panel.
*9: When the outside temperature is approximately 37 F (3 C) or lower, the indicator
will flash for approximately 10 seconds, then stay on.

Operation of each component
Driving position memory
The seat and steering wheel are automati cally adjusted to allow the driver or
front passenger to enter and exit the vehicle easily.
■Driver’s seat
When all of the following have been
performed, the driver’s seat and
steering wheel are automatically
adjusted to a position that allows
driver to enter and exit the vehicle
easily. • The shift lever has been shifted to P.
• The power switch has been turned off.
• The driver’s seat belt has been unfastened.
When any of the following has been perf ormed, the driver’s seat and steering
wheel automatically return to their original positions. • The power switch has been turned to ACCESSORY mode or ON mode.
• The driver’s seat belt has been fastened.
■Front passenger’s seat (if equipped)
If the front passenger’s door is opened while the vehicle is stopped, the
adjusted lumbar support, side support (if equipped), et c. will return to its orig-
inal position.
■Operation of the power easy access system
When exiting the vehicle, the power easy acc ess system may not operate if the seat is
already close to the rearmost position, etc.
■Customization
The seat movement amount settings of the power easy access system can be custom-
ized. (Customizable features: P. 4 9 1 )
This feature automatically adjusts the front seats, steering wheel and outside
rear view mirrors to make entering and exiting the vehicle easier or to suit
your preferences.
