Driving Position Memory
■Driving position memory
■
Recording procedure
Check that the shift lever is in P.
Turn the power switch to ON mode.
Adjust the driver’s seat, steering wheel, outside rear view mirrors and HUD (head-up
display) (if equipped) to the desired positions.
While pressing the “SET” button, or within
3 seconds after the “SET” button is pressed,
press button “1”, “2” or “3” until the buzzer
sounds.If the selected button has already been
preset, the previously recorded position
will be overwritten.
■Recall procedure
Check that the shift lever is in P.
Turn the power switch to ON mode.
Press one of the buttons for the driving
position you want to recall until the buzzer
sounds.
This feature automatically adjusts the front seats, steering wheel and outside rear view
mirrors to make entering and exiting the vehicle easier or to suit your preferences.

■Memory recall function (driver’s side only)
Each electronic key can be registered to recall your preferred driving position.
■Registering procedure
Check that the shift lever is in P.
Turn the power switch to ON mode.
Recall the driving position that you want to record.
While pressing the recalled button, press
and hold the door lock switch (either lock
or unlock) until the buzzer sounds.If the button could not be registered, the
buzzer sounds continuously for approxi-
mately 3 seconds.1

Power (Ignition) Switch
■Starting the hybrid system
Press the parking brake switch to
check that the parking brake is set.
( P. 2 8 )
Parking brake indicator will come on.
Check that the shift lever is in P.
Firmly depress the brake pedal.

information display. If it is not dis-
played, the hybrid system cannot be
started.
Press the power switch. If the “READY” indicator turns on, the
hybrid system will operate normally.
Continue depressing the brake pedal
until the “READY” indicator is illumi-
nated.
The hybrid system can be started
from any power switch mode.
Check that the “READY” indicator is
illuminated. The vehicle will not move when the
“READY” indicator is off.
Performing the following operations when carrying the electronic key on your person
starts the hybrid system or changes power switch modes.

■Stopping the hybrid system
Stop the vehicle completely.
Shift the shift lever to P.
Set the parking brake. ( P. 2 8 )
Press the power switch.
Release the brake pedal and check that “P OWER ON” on the multi-information dis-
play is off.
■ Changing power switch modes
Modes can be changed by pressing the power switch with brake pedal released. (The mode
changes each time the switch is pressed.)

The emergency flashers can be used.
“POWER ON” will not be displayed on
the multi-information display.
ACCESSORY mode Some electrical components such as the
audio system can be used.
“POWER ON” will be displayed on the
multi-information display.
ON mode All electrical components can be used.
“POWER ON” will be displayed on the
multi-information display.
*: If the shift lever is in a position other than
P when turning off the hybrid system, the
power switch will be turned to ACCES-
SORY mode, not to off.

■If your vehicle has to be stopped in an emergency
Only in an emergency, such as if it becomes impossible to stop the vehicle in the normal way,
stop the vehicle using the following procedure:
Steadily step on the brake pedal with both feet and firmly depress it.
Do not pump the brake pedal repeatedly as this will increase the effort required to slow
the vehicle.
Shift the shift lever to N.
If the shift lever is shifted to N
After slowing down, stop the vehicl e in a safe place by the road.
Stop the hybrid system.
If the shift lever cannot be shifted to N
Keep depressing the brake pedal with both feet to reduce vehicle speed as much as
possible. To stop the hybrid system, press and hold
the power switch for 2 consecutive seconds
or more, or press it briefly 3 times or more
in succession.
Stop the vehicle in a safe place by the road.

EV Drive Mode
Turns EV drive mode on/offWhen EV drive mode is turned on, “EV
MODE” will be displayed on the multi-
information display. Pressing the switch
when in EV drive mode will return the
vehicle to normal driving (using the gas-
oline engine and electric motor [traction
motor]).
In EV drive mode, electric power is supplied by the hybrid battery (traction battery), and
only the electric motor (traction motor) is used to drive the vehicle.

Right turn
Lane change to the right (move the
lever partway and release it)
The right hand signals will flash 3 times.
Lane change to the left (move the lever
partway and release it)
The left hand signals will flash 3 times.
Left turn
■ If the turn signals do not stop flashing after turning left or right, or if you
want to stop them flashing
Operate the lever in the opposite direction to either position or . If you move the
lever to either position or , th e selected turn signals will flash.
The lever will return to its original position immediately after operation.

Parking Brake
■Manual mode
Sets the parking brake
The parking brake indicator light will
come on.
Press and hold the parking brake
switch if an emergency occurs and it
is necessary to operate the parking
brake while driving.
Releases the parking brake Operate the parking brake switch
while depressing the brake pedal.
Make sure that the parking brake
indicator light goes off.
■ Automatic mode
The parking brake is set or released automa tically according to shift lever operation.

● When the shift lever is moved out of P,
the parking brake will be released.
● When the shift lever is moved into P, the
parking brake will be set.
Operate the shift lever with the brake pedal
depressed.

Brake Hold
Turns the brake hold system onThe brake hold standby indicator
(green) comes on. While the system is
holding the brake, the brake hold oper-
ated indicator (yellow) comes on.
The brake hold system keeps the brake applied wh en the shift lever is in D, S or N with the
system on and the brake pedal has been de pressed to stop the vehicle. The system
releases the brake when the accelerator pedal is depressed with the shift lever in D or S to
allow smooth start off.

Multi-information Display
■Display content
Drive information
Select to display various drive data.
Navigation system-linked display
Select to display the following navigation system-linked information.
• Route guidance
• Compass display (north-up display/heading-up display)
Audio system-linked display
Select to enable selection of an audio source or track on the display using the
meter control switches.
Driving assist information
Select to display the cruise control or dynamic radar cruise control with full-
speed range/LKA (Lane-Keeping Assist) (if equipped) information, when the
system is used. ( P. 4 1 , 4 2 , 4 7 )
Warning message display
Select to display warning messages and measures to be taken if a malfunction
is detected.
Settings display
Select to change the meter display settings.
The multi-information display presents the driver with a variety of vehicle data.
