Driving
■Conditions under which the Rear Cross Traffic Alert function may not function cor-
rectly
The Rear Cross Traffic Alert function may no t detect vehicles correctly in the following
conditions:
●During bad weather such as heavy rain, fog, snow etc.
●When ice or mud etc. is attached to the rear bumper
●When multiple vehicles approach continuously
●Shallow angle parking
●When a vehicle is approaching at high speed
●When parking on a steep incline, su ch as hills, a dip in the road etc.
●Directly after the BSM function is turned on
●When items such as a bicycle carrier ar e installed on the rear of the vehicle
●Directly after the hybrid system is started with the BSM function is turned on
●When the sensors cannot detect vehicles
because of obstacles

When trouble arises
(If equipped)
Indicates a malfunction in the Lexus parking assist
All assist-sensors flash.
A buzzer also sounds.
→ Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer.
(If equipped)
Indicates that Lexus parking as sist-sensor is dirty or cov-
ered with ice A buzzer also sounds.
→ Clean the sensor.
Indicates an attempt was made to release the parking
brake with a door open or the front passenger’s seat belt
unfastened
A buzzer also sounds.
→ Close all doors and fasten the front passenger’s seat
belt before releasin g the parking brake.
