Theft Deterrent System
■Engine immobilizer system
The indicator light flashes after the engine
switch has been turned off to indicate that
the system is operating.
The indicator light stops flashing after the
engine switch has been turned to ACCES-
SORY or IGNITION ON mode to indicate
that the system has been canceled.
■Alarm
The alarm uses light and sound to give an alert when an intrusion is detected.
To set the alarm:
Close the doors, glass hatch and hood, and lock all the doors. The system will be set auto-
matically after 30 seconds. The indicator light changes from being on to flashing when the system is set.
To deactivate or stop the alarm:
● Unlock the doors.
● Start the engine. (The alarm will be deac tivated or stopped after a few seconds.)
■Steering lock
The green indicator light on the engine
switch will flash and a message will be
shown on the multi-information display.
Press the engine switch again while turning
the steering wheel left and right.

Four-wheel Drive System
■Four-wheel drive control switch
H4 (high speed position)
Normal driving on all types of roads.
L4 (low speed position)
Driving requiring maximum power and
traction such as climbing or descend-
ing steep hills, off-road driving, and
hard pulling in sand or mud, etc.
The low speed four-wheel drive indi-
cator will come on.
■ Center differential lock/unlock switch
Lock the center differential when your vehi-
cle’s wheels get stuc k in a ditch or when
driving on a slippery or bumpy surface. The center differential lock indicator will
come on.
Unlock the center differential after the
wheels have been freed, or after moving
to a flat, non-slippery surface.
To unlock the center differential, push
the switch again.
Use the four-wheel drive control switch and cent er differential lock/unlock switch to select
the following transfer and center differential modes.

Hands-free System For Cellular Phone
(with navigation system)
■Bluetooth® phone pairing
Compatible Bluetooth®-equipped phones can be connected to the vehicle, enabling
hands-free operation. Please refer to the cellu lar phone manufacturer’s user guide for pair-
ing procedures, or go to “www.lexus.com/MobileLink
” (for U.S.A.) for more phone informa-
tion.
To use a Bluetooth
® phone, it is necessary
to first register it in the system.
Press on the steering wheel.
Select “Yes” or “OK”.
When this screen is displayed, search
for the device name displayed on this
screen on the screen of your
Bluetooth
® device.
Refer to the cellular phone user’s man-
ual for cellular phone operation.
Register the Bluetooth
® device using
your Bluetooth
® device.
Check that the following screen is dis-
played when registration is complete.

You can call by giving a name registered in th e contacts. For details, refer to the “Navigation
System Owner’s Manual”.

Select the “Favorites” tab and select
the desired contact.
Select the desired number.
Check that the “Call” screen is dis-
played.
