FUEL GAUGE

Low fuel level warning light
The gauge indicates the approximate quantity of fuel
remaining in the tank when the ignition switch is on.
It is a good idea to keep the tank over 1/4 full.
If the fuel level approaches Eº or the low fuel level warning light
comes on, fill the fuel tank as soon as possible.
On inclines or curves, due to the movement of fuel in the tank,
the fuel gauge needle may fluctuate or the low fuel level
warning light may come on earlier than usual.
If the fuel tank is completely empty, the malfunction indicator
lamp comes on. Fill the fuel tank immediately.
The indicator lamp goes off after driving several times. If the
indicator lamp does not go off, contact your Lexus dealer as
soon as possible.It is not a malfunction even if the needle of the fuel gauge
returns to Eº when the ignition switch is turned to the STARTº
position.

Gasoline quality
In a very few cases, you may experience driveability problems
caused by the particular gasoline that you are using. If you
continue to have unacceptable driveability, try changing
gasoline brands. If this does not rectify your problem, then
consult your Lexus dealer.
NOTICE
Do not use gasohol other than stated above. It willcause fuel system damage or vehicle performanceproblems.
If drivability problems are encountered (poor hotstarting, vaporizing, engine knock, etc.), discontinueits use.
Take care not to spill gasohol during refueling.Gasohol may cause paint damage.

higher. For improved vehicle performance, the use of
premium unleaded gasoline with an Octane Rating of 91
(Research Octane Number 96) or higher is recommended.

Coolant type Ð Toyota Super Long Life Coolantº or similar
high quality ethylene glycol based non-silicate, non-amine,

organic acid technology (Coolant with long- life hybrid
organic acid technology is a combination of low phosphates and organic acids.)
Do not use plain water alone.
