When trouble arises
IS350/250_U (OM53C50U)
Indicates that the vehicle is being driven at 3 mph (5 km/
h) or more with the parking brake still engaged.A buzzer also sounds.
→ Release the parking brake.
Indicates that the shift lever was used to attempt to shift
to the first gear position in M mode on a slippery road
surface
The gear position will not shift from the second gear.
A buzzer also sounds.
→ Drive the vehicle in the second or a higher gear
position.
Indicates a malfunction in:
• The SRS airbag system;
• The front passenger occupant classification system; or
• The seat belt pretensioner system
A buzzer also sounds.
→ Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer.
Indicates a malfunction in:
•The ABS; or
• The brake assist system
A buzzer also sounds.
→ Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer.
Indicates that the engine coolant temperature is too high
A buzzer also sounds.

(If equipped)
Indicates that the radar sensor is dirty or covered with
ice
A buzzer also sounds.
→ Clean the sensor.
(If equipped)
Indicates that the dynamic radar cruise control system is
unable to judge vehicle-to-vehicle distance
A buzzer also sounds.
→ Turn off snow mode.
If the windshield wipers are on, turn them off or set
them to a mode other than AUTO or high speed
wiper operation.

(If equipped)
Indicates that the LDA (Lane Departure Alert) system is
suspended (The camera sensor temperature is higher
than the operation temperature range)A buzzer also sounds.
→ Restart the LDA after driving for a while.
(If equipped)
Indicates that a Blind Spot Monitor sensor or the sur-
rounding area on the bumper is dirty or covered with ice
A buzzer also sounds.
→ Clean the sensor and its surrounding area on the
bumper.
Indicates a malfunction in:
• The cruise control system; or
• The dynamic radar cruise control system (if equipped)
Press the “ON/OFF” button once to deactivate the
system, and then press the button again to reactivate
the system.
A buzzer also sounds.
→ Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer.
(If equipped)
Indicates a malfunction in the LDA (Lane Departure
Alert) system
A buzzer also sounds.
→ Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer.
(If equipped)
Indicates a malfunction in the PCS (Pre-Collision Sys-
tem)
A buzzer also sounds.
→ Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer.
(If equipped)
Indicates a malfunction in  the BSM (Blind Spot Monitor)
system A buzzer also sounds.
→ Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer.
Indicates abnormal engine oil pressure
A buzzer also sounds.
→ Immediately stop the vehicle in a safe place and
contact your Lexus dealer.

*: Refer to the separate “Scheduled Maintenance” or “Owner’s Manual Supplement”for the maintenance interval applicable to your vehicle.
(U.S.A. only)
Indicates that all maintenance is required to correspond
to the driven distance on the maintenance schedule*.
Comes on approximately 5000  miles (8000 km) after
the maintenance data has been reset. 
(The indicator will not work properly unless the mainte-
nance data has been reset.)
→ Perform the necessary maintenance. Please reset
the maintenance data after the maintenance is per-
formed ( →P.  4 0 3 )
(If equipped)
Indicates that the Automatic High Beam switch is
pressed while the headlights are in low beam.
→ Turn the high beam on and press the Automatic
High Beam switch again.
(If equipped)
Indicates that, since the VSC (Vehicle Stability Control)
system was turned off, the pre-collision brake system
operation is stopped

(If equipped)
Indicates that the PCS (Pre-Collision System) is not cur-
rently functional because the grille cover or the sensor is
dirty
→ Check the grille cover and the sensor and clean
them if they are dirty.
Indicates that operation of large electricity consuming
systems such as the air conditioning system are sus-
pended
→Stop using unnecessary electric components to
reduce electricity consumption. Wait a while until
the electric power supply is restored.
(If equipped)
Indicates that the LDA (Lane Departure Alert) system
cannot be used because the vehicle speed is lower than
approximately 32 mph (50 km/h)
→Drive the vehicle at 32 mph (50 km/h) or higher.

Are the driver and the front passenger wearing the seat belts? ( →P.  4 6 7 )
●The parking brake indicator is on
Is the parking brake released? ( →P.  1 7 2 )
Depending on the situation, other type s of warning buzzer may also sound.

●Did anyone inside the vehicle open a door during setting the alarm? 
The sensor detects it and the alarm sounds. ( →P.  7 1 )
To stop the alarm, turn the engine switch to IGNITION ON mode or start the
engine.
●Is the electronic key left inside th e vehicle or the moon roof opened? 
Check the message on the multi-information display. ( →P.  4 7 2 )
